I'd like to thank Curval for taking a step of faith and commissioning this drawing, after only seeing a few samples of my work in a post here a few weeks ago.

Here is a Swordfish Torpedo Bomber, as flown by Geoffrey Bird of the British Air Arm during WWII.  He is the key speaker at the banquet in his honor, and will be signing the picture this weekend for Curval.

I'll be at the Con on Saturday for the privilege to meet Mr. Bird, and finally get to meet Curval (and maybe burn up some worms on the golf course:) )

The last image was taken in low light, and gives it an "old photo" look.  The canvas is white, with everyhting drawn in pencil and a bit of charcoal.

Wonder if we can make copies of it and have him sign it for others ?

Very good job either way !

Wonderful Picture.
Keep at it, there are so many beautiful ww2 planes.
BTW, how much would you want for one?
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

Yea..not sure I want my newly commissioned drawing going anywhere near a photocopier.

But, no worries.  I believe Mr. Bird is bringing some prints that he can sign if anyone is interested.
