Watson's Glen and Sears Point.  BTW, so far as I can tell, F1 goes round and round, too, they just add in a few(slow) right hand turns.  Big whoop, what dif does that make?

Actually, I AM a huge NASCAR fan but I am a motorsports fan more than anything.  I't doesn't matter what the speed is when the passing is done, just as long as there IS passing which is something that was sorely missed in F1 for YEARS.  If there is anything about NASCAR that I hold way above F1 is the focus on the driver rather than the technology.  Any given driver in a NASCAR race has a shot at a victory.  Not so with F1.  You have Ferrari, McLaren West and Williams shooting for the victory and thats about it.  NASCAR?  RCR, Hendricks Motorsports, Roush Racing, DEI, Penske Racing, RYR, Joe Gibbs racing and on and on that have a shot at winning.  You want competition?  There you go.  Don't hate NASCAR ONLY for the fact of:
a)The 'redneck' image of the fans
b)inferior technology
c)They only turn left
d)any idiot can run a Cup car
Besides, at Spa a few years ago all of the F1 guys looked really amateur.  What a "NASCAR"-like opening to a race, huh??  LOL!!

I'm a big Formula One fan.  Have been following F-1 since 1966.  I'm also a huge NASCAR fan,  also since 1966.  I think GP Motorcycle racing puts them both to shame.

But i like them all equally.  To slam one or the other is just plain ignorant.........

ignorant?  i not sure about that... though I agree about bike racing, pretty much any bike racing puts the 4 wheelers to shame...

I'd like to see NASCAR racing delve abit deeper into technology myself..  (mebbe I am ignorant +Q  )

The technology of nascar typically seems less advanced than the majority of cars that you and I can buy today.  I've always felt that racing at that level should lead to advances which eventually trickle down to the public, not technology that the public tossed away 10 years ago...

One thing I never did like about nascar... oops a road course.. lets find a road course driver...

Oh yeah about that twit in the skirt...

I was reading on the RSC forums about it and someone mentioned Tom Pryce in 1977 at Kyalami...  Do a web search.. theres a video of what can happen when an F1 car hits a human body at 150mph+  (not for the squeamish)

I've seen it, the guy was literally torn into pieces.  I really couldn't care less about the kilted guy, it was the drivers I was worried about.

No kiddin...

Sadly for Tom the idiot who crossed the track was carrying a fire extinguisher (which was NOT needed) which they figure killed Tom instantly.  His car carried on down the track with a dead man at the wheel.

now explain too me why it is that JV has 5 Dnf's and Button has none.....same car.....go figure.

vastly superior CAR and TEAM will put you in Front.....Schum had many opportunities to fight it out.....each time he crashed into the other.....and then you call that TALENT......unless he is in front of everyone...yes he is good.....put em in a fighting situation....he sucks....

as for errors...they all make em....proves there human after all.....at least he tries with the hardware at hand....instead of just whinin.

Well we'll have to agree to disagree, because we obviously see this from completely different poles

I think Button is a far smoother driver than JV who to me he seems to fight the car more often than not..hence I believe the DNF factor compared to Button

As for Shuey....if everytime he had to pass someone difficult he crashed into them...well how do you explain his success, especially last years whitewash....
Ferrari is vastly superior team and car not just because of money (although obviously it helps), but alot of that is because of Schumacher. Schuey had the same benefit as JV did with BAR...a team built soley based on promoting the n#1 drivers success

As for whining...JV does nothing but, especially when a team mate looks to be better (even before the first race 'ala Button)
