What a Race!!!
« on: July 20, 2003, 03:59:23 PM »
Superb Silverstone GP people doing all sorts of moves on every one, WTG to old Rubens superb drive and shuts up the media too. Nice to see the Toyota's in a one two for a bit :)

Scariest moment has to have been Fisicella's rear suspension failure at 150:eek:

Oh and the man on the Hanger straight.... what a F*****g idiot

In summery BEST RACE OF THE SEASON:)

Best F1 race I've ever seen, no doubt about it.

I can't believe that kilted whacko with a death wish out on the track protesting with cars whizzing by at 150mph! Unbelievable.

Anyway, Speedchannel is re-broadcasting it at 9:00 Eastern tonight if you missed it this morning.

The guy in the kilt put paid to Schuey having any real chance for the win, but a great effort for him, and Montoya to fight back into the points

intersting to see the cars thrown about like that after the second safety car, and well done to DeMatta for holding off Kimi so well...

Ruebens really put the moves on for the win, and it was excellent to see him take it out.

Yep great race.  It just shows how important a wide track is for F1 cars.  Silverstone is one of those tracks where there are multiple lines through most of the corners, and we saw the result.

DC was my star of the race.  He normally really struggles in wheel-to-wheel racing but he was fabulous today.

I hope they lock up that kilted whacko for a long time.  He could have easily got somebody killed.

Another thing:  It looks like either Bridgestone has made some gains, or Michelin was caught out by lower-than-predicted raceday temperature.  The rest of the season is going to be very interesting.  See you at Indy.  :D

It's a shame Silverstone is looking less likely to continue as an F1 venue. Which means there will be no F1 race in Britain - a complete joke.

It's also a shame that most other F1 circuits are piss poor. They even neutered Hockenheim.

The Villeneuve/Button fight was a bit fruity. I didn't see Button pass him on the track so I guess it was in the pits. Excellent race, reminded me of Superbikes at times.

Not my idea of a great racing driver. If you are going to be arrogant, at least have the track performance to back it up. When your much less experienced team-mate is consistently beating you I think you're on shaky ground.

Now Michael Schumacher is arrogant, but there is no question as to his driving pedigree (IMO, of course).
