Not Receiving VOX
« on: July 21, 2003, 12:23:59 AM »
Since Friday, I have not been able to receive any VOX messages, but I'm able to transmit.  I've tried rebooting computer and even un-installed and re-installed AH.

PLEASE HELP

Are you seeing the names of whoever's speaking on the upper-right of the screen, and perhaps hearing the "beep" when they key up?  If so, you could go into Setup and Voice Setup (I think it's called - I'm not at my home PC) and make sure the volume sliders are up (in case you haven't checked these already).

No - I'm no longer seeing the names in the upper right corner.  All I'm hearing is the games noises.  I've turned down the engine noise too.  This is weird, I can talk and folks can hear me.

I found the problem!  Norton Firewall would no let receive go through.  I disabled it and it worked.

If anyone knows what site or IP that VOX uses, I could adjust the firewall to allow it to be filtered.
