Thats because HT and pyro worked on WB before leaving to create AH.

Well, it used to, before we as paying customers were labeled dolts and idiots by the "leader" -- anyhow-- what ended up happening with the lawsuit(s)?

Oh, grow up.

The people who were called dolts deserved it.  They should have known better, because they were complaining about exactly the things HTC said not to.

If you're too dumb to understand what a pre-release beta test is, then you only have yourself to blame.  Don't you think you could be more original then to resurrect a dead thread?

Most of us thought the statement was funny as hell.  Those that cried and took it personally, SHOULD have taken it personally.

Where you found humor is irrelevant. Skuzzy bans people from the boards for personal attacks. Thanks for playing.

Whether they "deserved" it or not is irrelevant. I'd wager less than one percent of the players here have participated in a formal software beta and had no idea what the devs wanted or what beta even means--  they just saw all the glaring (pre-release) problems and reported them with various level of emotion.

As to the old thread, I searched the BB and found no indication that the issue (lawsuit) had been resolved and was curious -- I then found muck's quote about HTC's vaunted customer service, noticed the July date and wondered at the change in attitude between then and now.

I think he'd probably rather not ban HT.

However, obviously you took offense at the "dolt" comment.  I can see why.

Few people ever hit the nail right on the head.

Martlet, you have done a fine job doing so!!!

Rock: Well that's where I got it, he's my son.
Powell: Really Rock, well I'd like to meet him.
Rock:  No ya wouldn't.

My point. Apparently I was being too subtle for your intellect-- I'll make it simple so even you can follow along--Here's a question: "Why would a CEO of a software company call all of his customer dolts and idiots for not properly following directions during testing he was getting from these paying customers FOR FREE?"

I like this company--and the game--but this last year has been very disappointing from a customer service standpoint given the fine start HTC made. From lack of information on new revisions to the lack of current version bug fixes, HTC has been living off of good will.

Now that a new release has hit, one can just observe the pent up desires and frustrations of the player base as they compare the "beta" with their various, individual expectations built up over the last year.

So yes, I thought his comments inappropriate. One should never yell at volunteers.

He didn't call all his customers dolts.  Perhaps his wording was too subtle for your intellect.

I know he wasn't addressing me ... those who are the "dolts" are the only ones that would be offended ... IMHO.
