I like this company--and the game--but this last year has been very disappointing from a customer service standpoint given the fine start HTC made. From lack of information on new revisions to the lack of current version bug fixes, HTC has been living off of good will.

Now that a new release has hit, one can just observe the pent up desires and frustrations of the player base as they compare the "beta" with their various, individual expectations built up over the last year.

So yes, I thought his comments inappropriate. One should never yell at volunteers.

I can't wait to hear your witty explanation here.

See, I thought the answer was obvious, so apparently it's not my intellect that is lacking.  In fact, the majority of the user base understood.  That means, either you belong to the handful of people of  AH that are of superior intellect, yet still couldn't follow directions, OR, you fall into the clueless dolt category.   I choose the latter.

The funny thing is, you STILL don't get it, so you continue to whine about it.  The irony kills me.

""Most of us thought the statement was funny as hell. Those that cried and took it personally, SHOULD have taken it personally.""

Amen brother. The ones that think this was  "Rude"  "A bad way to treat paying customers" or whatever all were direct recipients of the "You are a clueless idiot" award. There just to damned stupid to realise it.
This was a free beta.Given out to stop the incessant crying over where it was.The dolts then proceded to DL and play withOUT reading the plainly written explaignation of what they were expected to look for.Apon being called clueless, got offended and  proved without a shadow of a doubt that they WERE indeed the weakest links.Good bye.:rofl

Probably one of the reasons why Pyro posted these very simple and easy to follow guidelines.

The purpose of this limited open beta version is to test core level functionality
and performance across a wide spectrum of hardware configurations. We're
interested in lockups, crashes, major rendering errors, and frame-rate. Please
make your reports in the AH2 Beta bug forum on our message board. Please refrain
from reporting minor bugs (like tracers or some gauges not displaying correctly)
at this time. We'll be soliciting reports for those and gameplay issues in subsequent
versions of the beta. When making reports please include your system specs.

Makes it easy to see why HT called them dolts.

Jeez another one.

Twitchy Skuzzy has alreay told you that if you have a specific problem you feel needs addressing to contact them direct with proof.

IE film etc, it does no good to publicly post it on the bbs especially if you may be wrong.

And yet you just cant digest this and either follow instructions or let it go.

We should all pay Bruce Artwick a fee of $18/connect for the privilege of flying on a computer, then pay AT&T $18/connect for a networking fee, and Bell Laboratories $18/connect for the privilege of technologies, and MIT $18/connect for conceptual creativity benefits,... but if we paid all that there would only be 100 of us still flying.

Hmmm, .... HT care to reconsider? :D

Cheerleading?

Probably more that most realize this is but a game....if you need your ego stroked, I assure you, you've come to the wrong place.

I've tried many times to get Dale to just cancel the accounts of those who can't seem to offer anything other than contention at every opportunity....sometimes, it's not worth doing business with some folks, especially at a whopping $15.00/month.

Why are you amazed ? ... only HT and company can address the issue at hand and what makes you think that they will discuss any of it with us ... especially in a public forum.

I'm amazed, because the thread keep plugging right along, in spite of the lack of information/news on the topic.
