Mrfish looks like cptn Picard  :D

I dont have a copilot but I did have a dog that went through a similar accident as nina. He was an english coon hound"redtick" and we were running coons and he ran into this old abandoned house that used to be West of my place. He ran upstairs and from what I can  gather the coon went out the window and sat on a little awning underneath the window, fred jumped out the window and missed the awning  :D Knocked the wind out of him but he survived to chase many a coon after that untill he died a couple years ago. I miss him, he was an awesome dog.

The most notable trick my cat does is toejamting inna box with sand in it.

Oh, it does other stuff; like skydiving out the second story window, spending nights in the refrigerator, dodging traffic, riding the ex-wifes westie like a rodeo bull and going apeshit on the catnip toys... but nothin tops the 'shit in the box' trick.

The most notable trick I do is changing the sand in that box.

About once a year.

I don't get many unwanted uninvited guests anymore.

Heluva trick.

i guess i buzzed the sides into 'whitewall mode' last summer  :D

i had an old hound growing up - i used to hold onto his ears learning to walk as a kid and he patiently stood there helping. they're good dogs and loyal as hell.

I'd cut their testicles off, and feed them to the legless dogs. Then I'd force them to carry the dogs everywhere piggy-back style. And I'd force them to clean out the pens...
with their tongues!!!

This is an example when dogs are smarter than humans. How people can hurt social animals like cats and dogs is beyond me..leave em alone, but no need to hurt them.

I wont saw their guts. Why to do it yourself?. Is a job you dont need to do first-hand.

Get the criminal who did that to those poor dogs. Get a gun. Give him a cutter. Point the gun at his guts. Tell him to remove his own parts or you'll bust them in a more resounding and noisy way    ;). Then proceed to apply salt on the removed part wound.

Maybe do the same to him as he did to the dogs, rope him to something, immovilize him and then saw his legs with a knife, and let him die by the bleeding.

The event Da-98 is describing is so repulsive I felt really sick when I first heard about it. It was wondered wether it was a satanic rite, then it was wondered wether it was a part of a role play game (there is absolutee hysteria in this country with roleplaying games)...

Turned up to be that it was done...just for the sake of it. No reason, just making those poor dogs suffer.

Anything you do to those kind of monsters is little. Have no words to describe them and what I'd do with one of those sons of a b1t**.

Wow RAM, getting hot under the collar over a little dog modification aren't ya? Maybe the lil fellas were above the local maximum dog height restriction. We don't know the whole story!  ;)

Seriously, that is a pretty sadistic thing to do to a dog. That guy should definitely do jail time, but all that torture you mentioned is a little much don't ya think? I'm a believer that an animals life, although valuable, is nothing compared to a humans life.

But now cat juggling is another story!

Just a lil info for you R4M. Not flaming you

A passage from the "Book of Satan".

"VII. Satan represents man as just another animal, sometimes better, more often worse than those that walk on all-fours, who, because of his “divine spiritual and intellectual development,” has become the most vicious animal of all!" [/i]

Satan does not in any way advocate the mutalation of any animal, or man. Surprisingly to the ignorant it is just the opposite.

I wish i had some pictures of my old cat to show you, she has since passed on. She used to sit on my lap when she was younger and stare contently at the screen w/o moving a muscle while i was playing Doom.

Occasionaly out of no where she would reach up and smack the crap outta the space bar and then glare at the screen to see the out come. She would repeat this process for hours.. lol

cats are awesome  :D

How anyone can be cruel to dogs is beyond me...

This is a pic of my first-born being introduced to my dog about two years ago. Being an older dog my family was concerned he would be jealous of my son and that I should be very careful.  But, as you can see his first reaction was to give him a kiss!  He loved my son so much that he would let the baby smack him and pull his ears, face etc. without moving.  Strangers had to be careful approaching my son too quickly...the dog would simply put himself between the baby and the person and if the individual moved to go around him he would move to once again block that person's path.  An area nurse who came by to check on the baby went home with two holes in her shorts after she ran towards the crib in an excited manner to see the newborn.  It got to the point that I had to take the dog into another room to show people the baby.

About six months after this pic was taken Ras suddenly got very ill and I had to make the "awful choice".  After 13 years of friendship he died with his head in my lap - probably the worst day in my life to date.

Hblair, to get FIFTEEN dogs in a row.... To rope the first to a post. To cover the animal with a blanket so he can't bite, and so noone can hear tthe barks and howls. To saw off the legs, one by one, with a knife. And then to unrope the dog and leave him there, helpless, lying, until it dies by the loss of blood.

Then to get ANOTHER dog. To cover it with the blanket, to saw its legs in the same way, and to unrope it and leave it there in the same fashion.

Repeat it fifteen times, with fifteen dogs. By pleasure. JUST by pleasure. For the sake of it. Just to see the poor critters suffer an horrible death.

The next morning when the owners of the site came in and found the scene, some of the last poor animals left alive -agonizing as they were- tried to get close, happy to see them, trying to lick those guy's hands.

Imagine the scene, about a dozen of dogs dead, their legs sawed off and blood everywhere, and the last poor animals trying to lick your hand happy to see you while they have no legs...it makes my blood boil.

You might think a dog's life is not worth a man's life. I mostly agree...but there are some mans out there whose life is not worth a dog's one.

A dog is a SENSITIVE being, a dog might not be conscious, nor intelligent in the way an human is. But a dog FEELS. LOVES. LIVES. The TERRIBLE pain those dogs had to go thru is something wich you can't ever imagine, and something wich can't be dismissed on the grounds of "they were dogs, not humans". That argument stinks.

Sure, what I described is something I really wont like to see in a nation's law. But jail for them?. Hell jail. Is what they'd get in a decent country. Because the second part is the shameful law in Spain. Here if the offender had been caught (AFAIK, the ones who did it are still free), then would've had no problem...

In spain such a MONSTROSITY is just worth a 500$ fine and they get free...That is why people is now claiming for a serious modification of this incredible law.

Anyway ,someday they will pay. There is a very special place on hell for those kind of criminals. Cowards. Scum.

And to be truth, if I'm forced to choose, I'd rather have one dog's life than ten lifes of guys like the ones who did that.

Am0n: the Satan/roleplay teories were wondered by the media, not by me. I can't care the less why does someone make something like that. the one who do is is  a sick bastard deserving nothing good in this life (and neither in other life)

Curval: that pic is beautiful!!!...the dog is really similar to the one we have at home  :) She's called Arai and is really really similar to Ras...I dont have scanned pics to post tho.

Sad to know the dog died...is the really sad part of those little friends...their life is so short  :(

Sure, a human's life is more valuable than an animal's life.

Depends on who you talk to of course.

Depends on who you are talking about too of course.

Me? I've seen enough pieces of toejam that claim to be human to prove to me that some "humans" aren't worth even the title of "fecal excrement".

On the news there was a story about a Zoo in Afghanistan, where Taliban soldiers used the animals as punching bags with the butts of their guns or various other forms of aggression. I'm sure some of you guys saw that story who live in the US.

Give me 2 minutes alone with someone who thinks it's acceptable to be violent to animals, you'll find out very quickly just who much closer we are to animals than to the elated beings we have convinced ourselves we are.

I'll break your legs if I see you mindlessly hurting an animal- just the same if I saw you hurting another human.

EDIT: Btw Hb, you should pick up Il-2. Me, Moose, Zigrat and Apathy have played a few times together. Sure, it's no MA- but it's all you could ever want for a CT!! Just for a "when you want to try something different" than AH, it's pretty interesting. Not better- but different, think about it and pick it up if I convinced you! ;-)

We are all animals.

It is perfectly natural to favor ones breed.

she was wounded in a failed pigeon attack on our fire escape dux.

she suffered from a crushed ego and severe embarassment and a dislocated understanding of her abilities as a fierce predator.

she was prowling near their roost and got a good pecking - (i think mama had some youngin's up there) she ran home and hid behind me. the physical damage was minimal but the damage to her self-cat-image was pretty bad. that pigeon schooled her good.

we put her thru ego therapy reassuring her that she really was a vicious and scary lion (like she and her 4 pounds of bulk and 1/4 inch claws thinks she is)and now shes her old "threatening" self again, pouncing at whatever moves.

she actually has a pretty damn wicked strike that really makes the hunter in me proud but that was funny nonetheless! its one of my favorite things bout cats - seeing the graceful and ruthless way they attack, its awesome, like a good aerial dogfight and reminds me of their larger cousins.

i like cats - we both have eyes facing forward for binocular strike capabilities rather than sideways looking for predators, but we both would rather lazy around than hunt anyway! lol gotta love em

ive seen some real ugliness toward animals and it makes me sick. there was nothing i could do as a kid seeing it but now at 240 and 6'3" i'll have a word or two for the bastards if i see it. there's little that can motivate me to violence - thats one thing though   ;)

edit - oh and ps the story is true but it's really her nametag  :D
