I'm a believer that an animals life, although valuable, is nothing compared to a humans life.

So you're saying that Osama Bin Laden's life is worth more than a pet dog's life?

I have to disagree.

If I had to choose between him and an old, abondoned dog, Mr. Bin would get the bullet every time.

Actually, come to think of it, Bin Laden's death is probably worth more than the whole of Aghanistan. 25 million...not bad.

R4M- buy all means that perpatraitor was a sick bastard.

I think that he should be put to death. Most of the famous serial killers here in the US started off mutalating helpless animals in sick fasoins such as that. A individaul such as this has no place in a civil society.

Personaly if i were to judge this, in a court of law, i would treat it as if he done this atrocities to humans. Simply because i believe "man" and "animal" are equal.
---------------

I used to have this cat when i younger and lived with my parents (other than the one i previously posted about) that was sooooo lazy he would lay down to eat his food out of his dish. Ive never seen anything like it. He wasnt much a gamer though, he used to get on edge and act very frantic/strange when i was playing Doom and one of the daemons or other creatures made there gastly moans.. lol

Cats are the coolest pets for sure  :)

You believe humans and animals are equal? Okay, which animals are you speaking of? Are houseflies lives equal to that of whales? If not, why not?

Well as a kid I remember pulling the legs off a fly, but I pulled and pulled and couldn't get the Flukes off of that darn whale!  I'd say the whales are "uber" ;)

In all seriousness I believe that the person that sawed off the legs of a dog is very demented and a mere fine or jailtime is not enough punishment.  As for humans being more valuble than animals....I think human life is more valuble.  Think about it - when your aunt gets sick do ya take her in and "put her down"?

Bin Ladens life is precious too. But unfortunately Bin Laden threw his own life away when he apparantly masterminded the murder of over 4,000 other innocent humans.

Thats a great question. Many things depend here, yes i would "put her down", under certain circumstances of course. Just as i would only warrent it to happen to a loved pet under certain, if the the same drastic, circumstances. I dont think a human(innocent) deserves to suffer any more or less than a animal.

Maybe its not that i value animal life any more than some people would, but human life less. Thats just an assumption of course (since i do not truely know how to wage ones worth, or how others truely do).

Most humans seem to believe that the earth is here for them to florish apon, and i believe we are here for it, or because of it. And in saying that, we are truely egual to all life and i treat it accordingly.

Hblair

If you were a "fly"(or the same size even, still human) and buzzing around my food and head and such yes i would smash you. Some i would jump at the chances of doing it to more quickly than others of course  :D

i think killing is different than torture though isn't it hb?

hunting is natural - we can't help it, that's the way life is set up - life feeds on life.

torture is putting another creature in pain and suffering for your own amusement. that's the difference as seen from my chair  :)

I love hunting Hblair, havent gotten a chance to go this year, nothing but bow season until recently (for deer). Deer hunting is great in sothern ohio where my father lives.

Im not a "damn hippie" if thats what your emplying..

Everyhting has a cycle of life, trees are great, so is wood. Deer are just as great to marvel at, as is there meat to eat (deer jerkey.. MMMM good).

I enjoy the hunt just as much as the killing, very good to get back to your carnal instincts when you can.

Never go hunting myself, how do you think bambi feels when that arrow passes through her poor little precious chest? Then she tries to run away, but finally collapses and can go no further, her chest cavity is full of blood. She is suffering. She dies as the mean old hunters finally track her down by her blood trail. Poor lil deer.

What POS skumbag would do such a thing?
Death to bambi killers!

I dont hunt Dowes my self. But they eat just the same..

To be honest Hblair they probably dont feal much due to the adreniline rushing.

All things must die, as you and i must. This is far different from dismembering a animal for pleasure, far different.

If you have never hunted down your dinner and killed it, you really must. Its great to get in a "killer" mode and become more animalistic.

Bambi is accepted as a female, but at the end they show a big 'ol buck standing up there...so I ask you was bambi a buck or a doe?
