My guess is the addition of "honor" to the never tag.  Some people don't shoot chutes because they want to save ammo or some other lamer reason.  Other find that there is honor in a video game.

I agree though, both are pretty much the same IMO.  They are both stupid.

the subject was poetry?  In that case... the poetry in this thread is inane.

I do remember hearing pilots being told to fall as far away from the combat area before deploying the chute, so if they choose to open early, they need to be eleminated from the gene pool for lower than average IQ, don't you think?;)
You dragged the dead horse into the yard and handed out the bats, sir.

Lazs,

No, the subject of the thread was chute-shooting.  The vehicle was to have been poetry, but no one followed suit.

Your second point is irrefutable, however.

Got one from a bomber just last night.  Smoked the bomber and he bailed high.  Rolled my chog and followed him, strait down, and popped him before he let the silk fly.  It was a beautiful sight to behold!

Personally, if I see a chute at high altitude I leave it alone, it's more of a torture for the poor shmuck to hang there 5 minutes riding the silk, I know he's hopin' I'll shoot him to put him outta his misery, but I can't see givin' him an ez out. Call me a Sadist.

Now strafing spies on the ground or even FDBs trying to take off from a capped field, well now thats an entirely different kettle of fish. :D
