Netflix is great, Two Towers arrived in the mail a couple days after it was released. :)

Anyway, I couldn't understand a whoopee thing that Golan was saying, wtf is up with Hollywood? have to slur and obscure a characters voice similiar Golan to hide the poor script?  I understood one word..."precious"...the rest was garble to me. Rant over.

(PS, movie was okay, but just more of the same "Travel thru the forest, mtns. Battle. Win. Travel thru the forest, mtns. Battle. Win...rince and repeat)

And Curval, your home-to-be looks nothing like Helms Deep. :)

Hmmmm.... gollum was quite understandable.  And... he was very close to the character defined in the book.

I thought Gollum and Wormtongue were the 2 characters that most matched my personal expectations. Still think Aragorn is too wimpy.

how was the sound on this release?

I bought the extended 4 disk version of the first release and the sound levels flucuated all over the place.

sometimes it was so quiet I couldn't hear anything...  Jack up the volume on the receiver...  Then...

POW!!!, I damn near get blown out of the water ...  Jack down the volume on the receiver.

This went on thru the whole freaking set.  Hope they got the mix right on this release...

I got the DVD today and I loved it. The extended version is going to see wonderful from what I have seen in the preview included in the second disk of this release.

And Return of the King... phew can't wait to see it.

YOu should have waited to order it Cyrano, The "extended" version comes in November.

The sound was good, no severe sound fluctuation but then again, I had it cranked up pretty good on the stero speakers because I couldn't understand a whoopee word that Gollum was saying.

Edit: Added "Extended" by the proper name, as Diablo pointed out.

The Fellowship was a great movie but when they released the 'extended' version it became a COMPLETE movie.  I will not buy the Two Towers until the extended version comes out, anything less is a crime.

the problem is that the books are weak to begin with. They did a good job at dealing with the poor writeing though.
