Squad size does not matter.
Individual ranks of pilots do not matter.
Diversity of all pilots does not matter.

Think of a squad as a single player, the combined results of all is what counts.
Having players who are inactive does not hurt or help a squad's ranking.
If a squad were to have only one good and very active; fighter pilot, one attack pilot, one bomber pilot and one GV driver, they could be ranked very high, in spite of the fact that their individual overall ranking may be low.

Suppose that one squad has 10 players that each log 10 bomber hours a tour and each get 1 C-47 capture a tour.  And suppose that another squad also has 10 players, but only 1 flies bombers, but he logs 100 bomber hours (at about the same expertise as the first squad) and gets 10 captures a tour.  The two squads would be ranked the same in bombers.  The same can be said for fighters, attack and Gvs.

Help me figure this one out... Do LW planes cause arrogant, pompous, deluded and insecure people to gravitate toward them or... Does flying LW planes cause people to become arrogant, pompous, deluded and insecure? In all my years of flight sims, I have never figured this one out. I admit it..... I am stumped.

That's the most beautiful thing I've seen written by Laz; ever.

Toad, we expect great things from Math and Creamo.. if we apply the 'source' handicap to the judging, Laz wins my a mile.

In fact, somebody should work it up on a bronze plaque and ask HTC to stick it on a monument next to knit HQ's.

Well, Hang...

Math used an absolutely ELEGANT turn of phrase and sublime minimalism coupled with lazer-accurate imagery to completely skewered the target on the rapier of his wit.

Laz, using the venerable "which came first - chicken or the egg" conundrum, managed to totally capture the essence of what those who don't care for the stereotypical LW gamer find most odious about them. All this while giving one of the most accurate depictions of personality traits in recent memory.

I simply can't decide. I'll leave it up to the Academy to select the eventual Oscar winner.

But Toad..

Surely you can appreciate that Math's succinct spearing of the subject exhibits sublime sophistication that threatens the capabilities of comprehension of the community at large.

On the other hand, while Laz uses words even I can quickly understand, he does use more of them.

*sigh* I confess; must concur, the Academy will likely face a tough decision . (those that can read)

gawddamnit... Toad at his best, the one i remember.   I have not laughed out loud so hard or for so long over a BBS thread in years.  Hang.... no matter what else... I will have to admit now and forever that you do indeed have a sense of humor.  Math.... well.... I tip my hat to math and knock over my king.

It doesn't hurt that sachs is the butt of the joke and even better that he doesn't get it.

I think Laz and Math should duel it out to see who has the best comment. We, the community, will place side bets and drink heavily while watching from the tower....

llb... I KNOW that you have heard toad at his caustic best in the past...  It would have to be at the very least, a four way with creamo and many others also involved.

I belive that math would drop out first.   he has youth and stamina and brains but lacks the killer instinct.   Toad and creamo are quick witted and toad has the cynicism of age but in the end.... My shallowness and total lack of any semblance of human feelings would win out.

yes look to laz as the MODEL AH player people.Laz has firmly convinced em of the truth....

he wants the bomber guys out.He wants us all in a constant furball. He attacks anyone who plays this game who like to play in a different way than he does.He throws insults at them in here on a regular bases.Answer him? Question his inane remarks?....youre pompous, arrogant. Have a differing veiw on any subject?, your deluded!.Have a group of players? a squad or agree with more than one person that have an opposing view to laz?.....insecure!.

he sounds more like a uniform wearing control freak than himmler!  :D

I bet hes a white power nut.

geeze... gotta hear about white power from a british nazi?

trying to convince hazed of anything is like trying to convince a brit that leaches are not an essential element in dental care.
