But seriously...while an interesting idea....Im not sure how it would be implimented. Some of those less skillful in the art of verbal jousting would inevitably be hosed over by those who can say really evil nastey things in a unique way not directly actionable by a filter.....and I sure as hell dont want anonimous moderators damaging peoples planes....I can see the flames now

I would however really like to see typing the words "ALT-F4" cause the offending party to explode immediately....and be forced to fly the 262 the rest of the day (or until their perks run out)....now THAT would make me happy.

Such an 'innocent' joke can really turn off new players...and if we lose just 10 such players a month...thats over $21,000......do you see those numbers people....if we turn off just 10 potential customers a month...its 21k in a rolling 12 month period.

10 players/month=120 a year
120 players x $14.95 x 12months= $21,528.00

why not tie the language filter to the plane hardness...and set the filter up so if theres more than 1 uppercase letteer in a sentence it triggers...would probably be the easiest way...

great idea...

oh and hitech who did you get to write that for you...i didnt notice any spelling or grammer errors...wich would be what to excpect if you were hard at work coding ah2...

So... is this Jerk Multiplier an arena-only thing for arena behavior? Or is it based on BBS activities also. It seems to me everybody who posts on the BBS deserves a modifier, the various assignments are the only question.

HT not so difficult to monitor it , FLY again in the main arena .

HT,

Give everyone who logs in a single golden BB per day. Make sending it easy, like .shoot Gameid. Play a loud "ping" sound when you get shot.

A single bb from another player causes
1 minor random damage.

2 = larger damage, gun jam, etc.

3 = Oil line failure, fuel leak, fire, etc.

5 in a 15 min period blows up your plane & mutes you on channel 1 for 1 hour.

10 bb's shut down your AH Voice, kill all comms except squad, a

Let the people online decide who's ok & who's rocking the boat.

However, AH is not the place to hold a grudge. So if you shoot the same person more than 3 times in a week you lose your BB's for a week.

Last, let people save a few, but not more than a weeks worth. BB's unused after a week evaporate.

Gallager - the comedian - had an interesting idea about idiots who drive cars.

Every one is armed with a dart gun. When you see someone being an idiot, you shoot his car. When the police see a guy with 10 "idiot" darts stuck to his car, they pull him over and give him a ticket for being an idiot.

This brings me to the concept of Jerk darts in AH.
It's like a voting system.

Just like we all can type .ignore XXXXX

How about .jerk XXXXXX

After 15 votes... that guy's name appears over his plane, his plane doesn't fly so well, and he's smoking and burning oil.

People get 3x perk points for killing him too. And he get's no perk points for killing any one. And perk planes cost 3x as much just for him, his ammo load is halved, and his bullets do 2x less damage.

he and everyone in the community knows he's been voted as a jerk.

And most the best feature of all - Jerks can be fragged. Killshooter is turned off and JerkShooter is turned on.

Everyone get's 2 jerk votes per 24 hour period... and if someone votes too much like every day for a week... then it counts as 15 votes against themselves. This last rule is to prevent people from just being malicious with this feature.

Only 5 votes allowed from any one squad - don't want squads acting like hit squads either.

This could be a fun feature!
