Al Franken... Great American
« on: September 07, 2003, 07:15:59 PM »
I'm reading "Lies and the Lying Liars........"

Great stuff. My favorite chapter so far..."Anne Coulter - Nutcase"

Did you know Anne was born in 1961?

Or maybe 1963.

You see, she said '61 on her Connecticut DL, but '63 on her DC DL. So which one is correct? She says '63  now. But then that would mean that she registered to vote when she was 16. Doh!

Minor stuff compared to the real lies she spews, but fun nonetheless.

Reading Franken is just as retarded as reading Coulter.  All the same partisan BS attempting to get us to choose Coke over Pepsi or vice versa.  Free your mind and your booty will follow.  :)

oh come on, Franken is hilarious.  I mean it's not the Bible,  it's political satyr (thats comedy for those who don't get it).  he points, he laughs, I laugh, all great fun.

I wouldn't elect him to office or anything but, he makes some good points, and at least when Franken points out the stupidity you can laugh.

I've been jumping around the book some, but my favorite so far is "Operation Chickenhawk: Episode One," the prelude to the timeless classic about The Men Who Would Not Fight, "Operation Chickenhawk" from RLIABFI.

Of course he's read it.  How else could he make a cogent critique of its contents?

Funny lazs.

I would love to see a Coulter - Franken debate. I'd take Franken and give the points.

Don't pick on Eagler just because he only reads what the Republicans tell him to. I haven't bought the book, but plan on checking it out as soon as it hits my Library. It looks like a fun read.

Capt. Apathy the word is satire. A Satyr is a mythical 1/2 man 1/2 goat-like Greek creature.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.
