Ive read excerpts MT and have seen a few interviews and debates.  The one with franken and oreilly was just sad.
almost like a tiny hulk hogan yelling at a gigantic peewee herman.

far as I can tell franken and coulter might as well be twins.

Dont give those people any of my money but thats just me.

Sorry Martlet,

If anything is fiction it is the "right wing's" honesty. Sad to see it cleaned and skinned so expertly.

So, his own claims that the book is satirical are false?

The use of words to express something different from and often opposite to their literal meaning

A literary style employing such contrasts for humorous or rhetorical effect

So what you're saying is, we can just take the OPPOSITE of what Franken says, and it will be true.

No wonder you libs are always so confused.

Here's another Coulterism....

On page 68 of "Treason" Coulter claims as one of her proofs that there is a liberal bias in the media that Newsweek Washington bureau chief Evan Thomas "is the son of Norman Thomas, a four time Socialist candidate for President"

Norman Thomas actually ran 6 times. Oh and BTW he's not Evan Thomas Jr.'s father either. (Al actually called Evan Thomas Jr to confirm this. Something Ms. Coulter deemed unnecessary)

heheee!!! Coulter would get trounced by Franken... she would be curled up in a little fetal ball whishing for Saint Reagan to save her lying soul!

So let me see if I’ve got this right.  Coulter makes a statement in her book, which Franken claims is false.  You automatically assume Coulter was the one lying because you don’t agree with her views.  Franken claims she's wrong and you take it as gospel.  Yet, Franken is the one who recently had to apologize to Ashcroft for lying to him about the intent of the book he sought Ashcroft’s help with (and the false claim of already receiving similar help from others in the Bush administration), as well as for using the University’s letterhead without their permission in the attempt.  Do I have that right?  Got to love it!

Satire - A literary work in which human vice or folly is attacked through irony, derision, or wit.

From Dictionary.com

Point being... it ain't FICTION as Martlet so deftly proposed.

You guys are making this too easy!!

You mean the same irony you used in a definition of satire?  To use your definition, satire is irony, which is the definition I quoted?

So satiric irony is different?  How so?
