Had Clinton done everything Bush did and Bush everything Clinton did, my support would be reversed.

So would mine.

By insiuating an alterior motive, you could say that about anyone who criticizes anything.

Instead of doing that, why not argue against my assertion that to question and criticize the government is the ultimate in patriotism, and is in fact the basis of the freedoms that make America the greatest nation in the world.

Instead, you went for the standard republiclown line, thereby giving Ripsnort, who is often at a loss for real intellectual thought, a chance to throw in his tiresome one word zingers.

*sigh*

I really enjoy debating with you, Rude. But can we agree to debate the real issue, and leave off the campaign sound bites? Please?

BTW, in case you've forgotten, I supported this administration in going to war with Iraq. Furthermore, I support the spending of billions to rebuild Iraq.

I agree with you entirely....the right of protest and free speech is cornerstone to who we are in this country.

Problem I have, is dishonesty.(not you, so calm down):)

I'm not on you or anyone for not liking Bush....believing he is incompetent and bad for our nation....wanting a new president or even believing he only serves his wealthy friends and hates everyone else. Just be honest.

I have not seen nor heard a clear and concise solution offered up by anyone who has criticized Bush....sure, they say "we shouldn't have gone in the first place". See what I mean?

Bottom line for me....Bush will stand up like a man and take his hits....he has done what he felt was necessary to protect this countries interest, it's citizenship and it's allies. If the American people are convinced he has failed or that someone new will do better, then he will be gone. Time will prove however, that he was honest in his intentions and was correct regarding Iraq, the Middle East and Osama Bin Ladin.

I don't need Bush to tell me how to respond to what was threatened against us openly for years and finally executed throughout the 90's while a gutless wonder sat in the Whitehouse contemplating his legacy and finally topped by the events of 9/11.

Too many of you have forgotten 9/11....God help us if they ever get a nuke....all the feel good politics practiced at the UN and allies in Europe and the rest of what so many believe is the proper course to take, will not help us in the least. They will kill as many of us as possible and in my opinion, anyone who believes they won't, is kidding themselves.

I'm done....promised myself I would'nt get too deep in these Oclub thingies.:)

Why the anti-war movement is critical to the success of the war

The war critics embolden the enemy, convincing them that victory lies in defeat of America in Iraq.  But driving the terrorists to fight us in Iraq is exactly what we want.  Better to have Americans killed in Iraq than in America.
