dont you people even stop to think that the book (and perhaps upcoming movie) will NOT be based on what happened when they were ambushed but rather about her life before she joined the army, why she joined the army, her basic training, her experiences as she was shipped to iraq and the brief stay she had in iraq, then describe the very little she could remember of the ambush (best we know she was knocked unconcious during the crash)..
and then the other half of the movie be about her CAPTIVITY (a time period she was not unconcious) and the events that took place just before, during and after the rescue?
I say good for her! she went through **** and got out alive thanks to a hellish dose of good luck, $1 million is enough to give her and her family a decent life.
