Forgot about Iraq?

This comment on the ubb brought a flashback:

Funked1: GREAT SHAITAN BOOSH IS RESPONSIBLE. DETH TO AMREEKA!!

I distinctly remember the same line of comments when the US players were trying to convince us about the richeousness of the war plans. How Iraq was the biggest threat to world safety with its WMD and how Saddam was responsible for the WTC attacks.

All this regardless of any evidence and lacking the support of, oh, just the rest of the planet.

Well. Now you're there. You're getting butt*****ed daily, casualties mounting up and no sign of ending the ordeal. Bush admitted himself in the speech that Saddam doesn't appear to be in any way connected to the WTC attacks - and despite the 1500 researchers digging up Iraq nobody has yet found any proof of the alledged WMD. In fact the head of weapons inspectors Hans Blix has commented it's very apparent Iraq did comply and destroy all its WMD after gulf1.

Your brothers and sisters are dying out there. Are you happy now?

Give me a smug answer.

I seem to remember Hans Blix saying he was more concerned about the Kyoto treaty than his job of finding Iraqi WMD... If that was his attitude then he was a poor choice for chief of inspectors. However since Saddam Hussein all but hand picked the new "UN" inspection team it's no real surprise.

Am I on record as being against this war?

Quote
BOSTON - The case for going to war against Iraq  was a fraud "made up in Texas" to give Republicans a political boost, Sen. Edward Kennedy said Thursday.

  In an interview with The Associated Press, Kennedy also said the Bush administration has failed to account for nearly half of the $4 billion the war is costing each month. He said he believes much of the unaccounted-for money is being used to bribe foreign leaders to send in troops.

BTW I don't recall using DETH TO AMREEKA in regards to Iraq discussions.  Just for making fun of Weazel's infatuation with the Commander in Chimp.

Yeah... sit on your fat arse in your stupid shorts and issue sweeping generalisations. It probably escaped your attention (I say 'probably' only to be nice) that Europeans are dying and have already died in Iraq.

Think I remember the U.N passing something ya know that they would give iraq a certain amount of days untill force was used.I also remember it passed 15 for and 0 opposed..And when the time came who went? The rest of the U.n agreed to it then tucktailed and ran when the time came to enforce their descicion..Dont come here and say Blix said this or that..its not relavent anymore...ya know actions speak louder that words

U.N = U.N.essary

Dowding you cant have it both ways buddy, either Europe is soldily against the war ( remember your bragging about the protests?) or they are not.  In that case the tiny minority of brave Europeans who stood with the USA to oppse tryany in Iraq are really just exceptions and not the norm and the generalizations do apply.
