Just watched this debate on MSNBC. You guys are screwed.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

Would liked to have watched that, who won? Or is that too subjective of a question?

It was fascinating to watch. :)

I had written up a review of it and what impression each of the participants made on me but I'm not sure I wanna post it as I feel it would just draw attacks and some part of me is tired of that - no I'm not kidding..

Yep, I knew that a long time ago, that is why I am counting...

6 weeks to go and I am out of here!!!!!!!   The guy that bought my house called and said if we close escrow early he would give us $3000 cash.  So Oct 27th is my last day of work here in californistan, I take a load to Montana on the 28th, then stop in Idaho on my way back fot a 10 day elk hunt.  Than pack the rest and will be gone my Nov 12th, for good.  Even if Montana doesn't work out, I am not comming back here.

Very Very happy man right now.

Im watching it rerun on cnn.  I actually like watching these things.  Debates are a sincere form of tragic comedy.
There are some real comedians on there tonight.

as far as kalifornia goes: the people have, are and will get what they deserve.  Thats the great thing about representative government.  The people always get what they deserve.

edit:
now they are talking about universal healthcare.  a 38 billion deficit and they want governement funded (aka free) healthcare.

man.  nothing is free

Let's see... McClintock came off rather well...

Arnold hasn't a clue. The Green Party guy is a nutcase and Cruz is an arrogant condescending ass.

I like Arianna... as a columnist. As much as I might agree with a good portion of her political views, some of it is a bit much to swallow.

OMG OMG OMG

I wrote nearly the same thing in my review, agree on arnold, camejo, and cruz - specially his arrogance and talking down to arriana and arnold..  Definitely agree on McClintock, he kicked ass.

Except I dont like Ariana's views much and thiught she played a few too many cheapskate oneliners vs Arnold and cruz. Plus it really did seem she was running for president and not governor.

I have to say I agree with ya about McClintock....Cruiz acted like "do I really have to be here?"  Arnold didnt do all that bad in my opinion

BUT!

Arianna....her WHOLE political veiw in the CALIFORNIA debate was "BLAME BUSH"  I swear her answer to all but a few questions was "its all Bush's fault"  I dont understand this woman.  She interupted Arnold all night.  But when he did it she went off and comented on how he treats woman!

I dont understand what Bush has to do w/ california.  Yea the national economy and state economies are linked but is that her answer if she becomes govner.  "blame bush"

YUp  The left coast is totally screwed:(

Yeager: as far as kalifornia goes: the people have, are and will get what they deserve.  Thats the great thing about representative government.

Not entirely true. Would you say that whenever a majority uses state power of oppression to screw up minority, the minority gets what they deserve?
Slaves were minority in the US South. Jews were minority in Germany. If they held the elections and voted to keep slavery/genocide - would one consider it OK, provided everyone got a chance to vote?

We can say that majority deserves what eventually happen to them but the fact of oppression remains.
