How 'bout all the Mac pilots??
« on: December 05, 1999, 01:51:00 AM »
After flying WB's for several years, like many here, I'm hanging my hat in the AH arena. First time I've seen energy modeled so well across the board. I'm a happy camper!

Sadly; my WB's squad is mostly made up of Mac owners. They'd love to fly AH.. but alas..

Any plans to make the sim available to that not insubstantial crowd of pilots that fly the 'other operating system' ??

If you look at how fast this thing is comming togather. And how well it runs, even as a beta. 'Than compare that to the problems at WB. Well, I dont know that much aabout computers, But if the mac thing would have held them back, IMO they did the right thing. The Mac guys have WB,FA, AW, and will soon have ww2online. There not really being left out in the cold. The squad thing is a drag. But it gives you an excuse to join an AH squad, and make some new friends.

yes, I am tired of going to my friends house if i wanna fly AH.   From a development perspective I think htc did the right thing, but from a business perspective I suspect it was a mistake. So many wb squads are going to pass up AH because of the mac thing, instead moving on to sims with mac support.

Just to corect indian we never said anything like we would do a mac version after the bug were worked out. All we said was that we are not rulling out the posiblilty of a mac in the future but have no plans to do one at this time.

Never met such a highly skilled group of core pilots as I've found here.. keeps my tired old bones young, just trying not to die at your accomodating hand.
