Filtering out the planes that are not enabled on this CT map, I looked at the K/D ratio for various planes on the allied side.

P38                      2.73
P40e                   .802
A20G                   .801

Now from the Japanese side:

ki61                     2.07
a6m5                   1.32
a6m2                   .965
KI67                    .731

Plane-vs-plane

P38 vs. A6m2      19.0
P38 vs. A6M5       3.0
P38 vs Ki61         1.16 (p38 7, Ki61 6)
P38 Vs. Ki67        3.33

gotta go to lunch, more to follow...

They are interesting to look at but never tell the whole story, and often are misleading.

Yeah ... alot of the P-40 kills are GVs and PTs. ;)

C'mon Brady ... everytime someone tries to evaluate any results in any CT setup that doesn't add up the way you want it to you immediately play this card (though you like to use statistics, charts and graphs to back up your own arguments ... some of which don't). Hold off and lets see where things go. Then maybe pretend to look at it and formulate an opinion before you give us one you already have. ;)

Just sayin. An open mind is a terrible thing to baste. :D

i dont know, i died like mayflies on an overpass last night.  It was those darn pesky p40s though.  Quite fun, even though i was not such a divine wind.

Yeah the CT did not implode. So it should not implode if the late model F4U's get a chance to fly in one of EddieKs next PTO's.

I think Eddiek may be on to something here. If you noticed the numbers have not been to far out of whack this setup. Maybe concentrating on the USAAF this set up , and doing the USN/USMC his next setup will keep the numbers leveled out.

When you run a late war PTO with a lot of peoples favorite aircraft on one side, you can't blame people if they fly them. Maybe this is the way just do one or two for late war setup.

Wierd though I finnally got my perks up enough to fly a few more KI-61s, but I can't tear myself away from the A6M/ P40 battle in the slot. Contrary to what some people are saying the P-40s are putting up a hell of a fight. The Allied pilots I've run into are flying tough and smart in the P-40.

Still the 10 perk points on the P-38s is way too high. Don't do it to the F4U's when you run their setup, other than that for a PTO this has been a good one Eddiek.

Amen Lowe.

Btw....the Ki-67 amongst "PTO" squads is a side issue, if you bring it up, or we do, we yak about it sure...but the real issue is the PTO setup re fighters.

It was suggested a long time ago that perks done right could make it workable, and in response we got "PTO setup A", and "PTO setup B" and if you dont like it we dont care cuz next week its 109s again weeeeeeeeeeeee.

Geez .. why's it always gotta be late model F4Us?!

VF-17 want's the F4U-1 in it's default skin available from at least 3 shore bases (one forward, one mid, one rear). (Having to fly it in FAA or Kiwi colors is just to much for immersion's sake. Flying `gainst N1Ks ain't so bad.)

It's a hard request but someone has to make it. ;)
