is there a way to adjust the trigger?
pull your grips off, it should be fairly obvious if the spring is easily adjustable. i'm not sure about the DW's but most adjustables either have a set-scew that pushes on a leave-spring to adjust the pull (or something simular, if you're reasonably machanicly inclined you'll know it when you see it). if it's not readily adjustable you can probably order replacement springs of different tensions.
actually all are adjstable, just not to make the pull stiffer. I've lightened the pull on amny non-adjustables by using a grinder to 'buterfly' the leave spring.
why would you want to stiffen it up though? I mean I know it's your gun and it should feel right to you and all. but safety isn't really an issue when fired on single action, (you don't **** it until you're reay to fire anyway) and if you stiffen it up acuracy will suffer. ( I have the same problem you mentioned about finding a gun that fits larger hands, and a lighter pull helps a bit with that pull to the right)
Ya know dune... the thing doesn't feel that big. It resembles a 629 smith with a python hammer.. it is well balanced and very quality. Grip feels great. It is actually a little larger than my Redhawks but seems smaller... it is narrower with a slightly smaller dia cylinder and top strap.
the cylinder walls and just about every other 'pressure part' is lighter than the ruger, ruger makes their guns considerably heavier, when loading your own rds for revolvers you usually get 2 sets of load tables. one for rugers and thompson contenders, and another set for everything else. rugers will take much more pressure, you can actually load .45 lc in a ruger to very near the pressures that you use for a regular .44 mag. making it about the same power (a little slower, but also a bit bigger)
