lol Rude :)

Not all of us in Hawaii like "Hawaiian" pizzas.  They're ok for me, but we usually order more "normal" topings on our pizzas.  I think my wife and I have ordered pineapple on pizza only once ever in two years.

On another note, I knew a fellow from Italy in high school - I think he had dual citizenship or something.  He couldn't see how we put so much stuff on our pizzas.  His idea of a pizza was tomato sauce, mozarella, and tomato slices...

I have no problem with Hawaiian style pizza. It's the practice of putting Red Beans in their Ice Cream Cones that gives me the willies.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

Well, when you've been stuck on a boat for a couple months working 12 hours a day 7 days a week you tend to drink a wee bit to much when you hit the beach. After having consumed half the booze within a 10 mile radius I will have to admit I tried one of those "Hawaiian" Pizzas. Being in Hawaii it was kinda natural. I don't really remember exactly, but I musta liked it cause I tried it a couple hundred more times.

Then there was this time when I went to a Pizza Hut near Miramar and while eating a "normal" pizza, the manager came over with this pipping hot weird bellybutton pizza. Said PH was trying this thing out on people and wondered if we wanted to try this thing for free. Being a drunk sailor, I would try just about anything once. It was a SEAFOOD pizza. It was WHITE! With big chunks of stuff hanging around in this white sauce. I was drunk, but not stupid, I got quezy. Man, it just didn't look like PIZZA. No, it was...it was...just plain WRONG! Ah well, you only live once, so I took a bite. OMG! That was good! Fish, shrimp and crab meat in alfreddy sauce ona pizza is scrumpshus. You just hafta avert your eyes while you eat it.

Then there was this pizza joint in Temecula a few years later that served some authentic Eyetalian Kwizeen. They had some of the best tasting pizza I've ever had. Thing was, the first time you tried it, it made you deathly ill. Made ya not wanna go back. But, being an ex sailor, I was used to being deathly ill on a semi-regular basis. After this first trip, I guess your immune system caught up, because it never made me sick again, but everyone who ever tried it got sick as hell the first time. I swear.

Pineapple isn't even Hawaiian. Heck, even Hawaiian isn't Hawaiian. Hawaiian should be replaced with Kanaka Maoli.
Though I do like pineapple on pizza.

It seems like no one outside the Midwest knows what a good pizza is.  Real pizza should take a day or two off your life.

Sausage people! SAUSAGE!

Heya Waleka

First of all Welcome to Ace’s High. Good to see some more Big Islanders here. If you want to be all technical, Polynesian people migrated from India.

If these guys want to try something real good, they should come have a loco-moco from Tex’s drive-in in Honokaa.
