Told you; we don't need no steenkin traitors!
« on: May 17, 2001, 11:36:00 PM »
Down to two bases; A47 and A52. All our strat fields down, no dar. A47 has 25% fuel, 52 has 50%.

After using my uber zeke to defend 52 and 47 for a bit, I, Mass, Hazed and Kirin decide to launch a strike on 48. Despite an ostie taking more than 18 AP hits, we manage to pork the field. We run outta ammo and decide to go again.

Now the knights have woken up, and we get a quite good air cover going. Despite a large presence of ostwinds, there's nothing they can do against my uber tank and Kirin's supreme m3. 48 Falls.

I defend 47 for a bit - poor spits think they can turn with a Zeke. 1 N1K and a 190 tries the same, and the result is quite pleasing from my point of view.

Since I'm sort of alone there and my squad is attacking 53, I take an m3 to it. 53 is ours.

On to 49, up in a ju88. All acks ded, fh's down. Ostwind thingies up; I drop my remaining eggs on it while mass, hazed and kirin do their things. Somehow mass gets the kill for an ostwind; two left. outta eggs, I fly very low right in between them; one must have hit the other and died from killshooter, as I hear a big explosion just after seeing tracers wizz by from left to right and vice versa  . I get a confirmation from a squaddie and laughter fills rw  .

To make a long story short, I do some airshow stuff and fly through the bh for a few minutes ignoring the ostie til kirin destroys my fun by destroying the bh I was about to pass through  .

On with uber me. 49 is ours.

This is Kniggit Powwah. We dun need no steenkin traitors.

Bah, you're just lucky I wasn't there Santa.  If I were you wouldn't have had a chance as my flying and ACM would have made you simply auger due to your inability to control your aircraft (a side affect of your laughing hysterically at me flopping around in the sky like a fish).

Remember this, don't get smug because I wasn't there to stop you...next time you might not be so lucky!

Hehe, I logged to see that last night pictures were here again, nits are fewer in number, rooks are pushing nits, bishops are pushing both, and result is obvious -- no chances for reset. So I got lanc from 44, fh/vh, acks and m3 there. Field is ours. Repeted with 39, only difference was that we got few fighters for support at 39, but still no oposition.

Nits down to 6 fields, so I said some billion words about how 46 is important, and how much it is a key field for reset and etc. and etc. and etc. Usually I am simply ignored, but this time I was so annoying that it worked   So we got 3 lancs from 44 to 49, but it were enough bishops to attack it and were not enough nits to defend it anyway, so when we maid it there it was ours. I turned to city, leveled it, then got jabo, finished to 0%. One of other lancs killed port, and we got it. I am otw to refinery in ju88, acks and down to 60%, jabo there, 0%. Then I took arado and got fuel at the 52 to 50% to stop high fighters support to 47, which was strifed to 25% by fighters already. Same time 3 lancs were on the way to 47 for fh/vh.

We were very close to reset at this point. But bishops switched to 41, because it is more close field to 47, and at the point when all fh were down at 47 we got no fighters there. We lost 2 c47, and someone strifed 2 of 10 troops which m3 droped. So no reset again.

I am really want to say <S> to knights for good defence and to bishops for working cooperatively.

What a (k)night!!! 2 porked fields to start with - city bombed down to rubble - HQ done beyond repairs.

Hard to describe the feeling to fly & fight in such enviroment - really immersive.

No, SethK we not sensible, we like to brag and feel good about it. I am really proud of the teamwork our squad showed yesterday. And it's tons more fun fight yourself out of the corner than endlessly vulch and gangbang a crippled country on the ground. The 48 capture really amazed me since it was such a strategically important target. After that we were just on the roll. Wile the majority of the knights were defending the SE front (e.g.47) JG54 and a couple of valiant knights pushed westwards. Sadly I had to log before we got 49 but the field was done for good!!!

Knightlandia will prevail no matter how many desert it. It looks like we back in the beta days when Knights usually were outnumbered 5:1...

<S> to the valiant knights!

p.s.: Ah, Mass you calling it Khebab? Weird...

S! for a great push, Knits. Nicely done

Oh...and btw, have my appologies for the HO rant on ch1 Kirin. I stop pulling to avoid it, and when you fired, I was probably showing 40 deg aspect, as you said. Anyway, my fault to tell it on open chanel.

Cheers,

Pepe

BLAME Pepe !

Bugger shot my JU88 twice in a row, right after I smacked your FH's and VH though.

This attack on 48 was a bit confusing for me (left, right... I never know!) All I remember was that after storming in between panzers and Osties, I managed to sneak my way in; right behind the VH... hehehe.

Had to log, due to Khebab eating break, then I got visitors... the, I was too pissed to fly, untill 1AM when I found out we only had Fins on the saquad channel (Hello Camo & Co!)

I logged on this morning before work and I found only 2 other Knits online, I whined a little aboot it on channel 1, etc...

Kirin, so.... yours would be "Shrimp" ?

Santa,
u forget 1 important thing, all but about 4 Rooks were down fighting bish  in  SW. so its really impressive that your group could take bases from 1 or 2 guys wow. i told  knits on chan 1 they should be takin bish bases(who were camped on ur city n HQ) but u didnt listen. so i redirected forces north, and u didnt take any more bases from then till i logged at about 11pm eastern.

we tried to let up on knits but u wouldnt even hit bish, only rooks.

<S> Pepe - the time I fired you were 40 degrees aspect but we flew straight towards each other before the merge...   You were the bugger popping up our M3s at 49, right? Grrrrr...

Whels, with down to 2 fields u don't have many choices what field to attack next.

- Fact1: 47 was under heavy attack and most of the knights were there defending (bish I guess)

- Fact2: 48 was the most strategically important field in vincinity. From 48 you are able to bomb any nearby fields with impunity. And 48 allowed us to defend our remaining fields much more effectively. 52 & 47 were constantly porked.

- Fact3: Rooks were running small stinging attacks from the west with heavy F4Us and alike. Infact the first flight I took up I was bounced by 3 Rooks near 47. Soon after we had 48 a Rook Lanc showed up over the field - that one had took off much earlier I would say - with a different target...

We achieved great tactical advantages without drawing much forces form the main front. That's effective managment of sources I would say...

Saw - u never had those giant "shrimps"? Yummy...
