No he didn't fight for it. He fought for survival of his people, just like any Slav or a Jew did in WWII.

Bull-shrecking-shite.

Did those slavs that invaded Finland in autumn 1939 fight for their survival?

No they didn't. They were instrument of tyranny in plot to assimilate independent Finland to Soviet Union. Fortunately they failed to do so.

And please study what happened after the war and come tell me Soviet Union wasn't tyranny.

I do not belittle memory of any veteran. They did what was called for.

Thank god their invaded and grabed some land. Because if that would not have been done, in 1941 Leningrad would have been overrun in a matter of months.

P.S. I believe there was another thread on war with Finland and have no f%&king idea why you had to bring that up in here.

So you basically are saying that Soviet Union was not a tyranny during WWII?

Think this:

He fought against tyranny, ie Hitler and germany. So german soldiers fought for tyranny.

He was soldier too like those germans fighting for tyranny. If (and when) Soviet Union was tyranny, he was just like those germans, fighting for tyranny against tyranny.

Simple eh?

Actually Soviet's might have been better of for not attacking Finland and securing a buffer zone near Leningrad. That buffer zone was recaptured (and some genuine SU territory) by Finland during early Barbarossa. If Soviet Union would have left Finns alone we wouldn't have attacked Soviet Union at all, making supply of Leningrad much easier and preventing the lenghty siege.

Are you kidding me? Finland would have been forced to join Germany no matter if there was Winter War or not. Finland's government had to either support Germany or live in danger of being overthrown.

<S> to a great fighter pilot and a man of great stubbornness.

Also:
Mx22, apparently you do not that before the truce of Moscow (välirauha... englanniksi mitä?) that came into effect on 13. March 1940 Finns had absolutely no ties with the Nazi Germany. So please crawl back into whatever hole you came from and stop spewing the products of your overactive imagination all over the place.

We all know what happened when European countries didn't support what Germany wanted from them. They either got invaded or puppet (sp?) governments were installed that supported Nazi regime.

Guys ! plizz stop that,

Truth is that every European country is teaching a little deferent History, that's why there are some misunderstandings.

I had a great example of that when I was in U.K. so now nothing can suprise me about deferent history views from deferent nations.

It just doesn't makes sense to jump on  itch other.

Topic where that a great man died, and great man he was ! he was Russian, and poles have more reasons to hate Russia then every other European country !!! but we do not hate them that is the past and that's all. So plizz guys from Finland, take your fight to O-Club.
