Goon problems, sorry if these are repeats
« on: October 15, 2003, 07:07:33 PM »
Problems with the goon after a couple minutes of playing with it:

The obvious problems with the hangar as far as green boxes where fuel and loadout options should be.

Excessive takeoff roll (I think Iron already mentioned this)

Extremely sluggish aileron control.  It really doesn't want to roll anymore.  Rudder seemed to work, as did elevators, but the ailerons might as well have not been there.

I dropped one troop, and as I did, I was back in the tower with a "You have crashed" message.  I dropped him from about 1k above the field.

Also, slightly unrelated to the goon, I went through joystick setup and assigned all my buttons, but once I was back in the tower, the joystick links were there on top of the normal links on the clipboard.  They never went away when I left setup.

System specs for Skuzzy
Win XP Pro
ASUS A7N8X Deluxe MB
Athalon 2600+
512 MB DDR RAM (2x256)
ATI Radeon 9500 Pro
Iiyama Vison Master Pro 514 22" monitor

Running at 1600x1200 res, 32 bit, everything on.  Frame rates in the mid 30s.

I've been trying to duplicate this since it happened to me twice but I haven't been able to.  Did you note how it happened and which beta version it was?  Just curious.
Easy in-game again.
Since Tour 19 - 2001

easyscor, I don't know exactly how I managed to make it happen, but it was during the first beta release.  Haven't tried to duplicate it since the second release.
