Fighter Sweep
109F, 75% fuel, Drop tank, 20mm's with gondolas.

Jabo
(Try to avoid as I stink at it)
P38, rockets and two drop tanks, 75% fuel -
with luck, I can flatten an abandoned VH with it

Fighter Sweep

Spitfire Mk IX with 2x20mm & 2x.50, droptank and 50% fuel
Spitfire Mk V 100% fuel
Yak9T 100% fuel

Fighter/bomber
Typhoon 2x1000lbs 100% fuel

In the Typhoon I don't see any point in taking rockets because I can't hit anything smaller than a hanger with them and against hangers the 1000lbers are much better. The bombs are also very effectiver against tanks. Even if I'm only looking at straffing aaa having the bombs along doesn't really hurt since you really don't want to take a Typhoon too high, they handle really badly at altitude. and you can aqlways just drop them if you get bounced. It's just so handy to have the extra damage potential of 2000lbs of bombs with me.

100% fuel hampers the performance of the Typhoon, but I like to be able to get back to base if the attack goes wrong and we don't get a capture.

Fighter sweep: P-51D, 75% fuel, two drop tanks, dropped when action is entered.

JABO: P-38, 75% fuel, two 1000lb, 10 rockets. I'd pick the P-47, but I wouldn't want anyone to puke from the rocking this thing has in autoclimb.

This is GREAT stuff!! tanks everyone!

Now I have an idea of how to correctly set up a "blitz" LW specialised mission..as well as a varitey of Allied specialised missions.

Anybody got any prefrences on how they'd set up a Zeke and George raiding party's loadout with the intent to capture a field?? Sorta like the old TORA! TORA! TORA! raids we used to do in WB's. Gawd; they wuz a pisser..

Load the a6m with all 3 bombs, N1k with 2, fuel dependent on how far you're going.

The smaller planes are underestimated a lot, but you can pinpoint those drops (especially on a moving target).  Of course any plane in AH can get ack by strafing.

To make it short, for me and most of my squad we ussually use the CHogs,and ussually b17 or Lancaster w/500
