Nash, time's up. I have a copy of the letter for you. I sent you an E-Mail through this BBS but have received no reply. I'll forward it to you if you let me know where you want it sent.

Straffo, what was that charity again and do you have a website for them? What Name/Address shall I use to forward the confirmation of donation? You can use the BBS E-Mail to send it to me.

Usually they send a letter to one in whose name the donation is made. I'll check it out and see what they can do. Yes, I do want some sort of acknowledgement from them to you so that it's clear I held up my end of the wager.

10Bears, if you can do it without the obligatory "Bush went AWOL", "Bush lied", "Bush found no WMD" blather, I'll be happy to read it.

Note, however, that I feel US honor is intact there at present, so your inference is that we're presently without honor in this matter? If so, we'd disagree.

Bien compris.

Bus as handicap international is a mostly French non gouvernemental organisation it's perhaps easier to do a gift to Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières for example.

Feel free to choose the best organisation

Will check into the donations to "Doctors" tomorrow looking for confirmation feature.

I couldn't find one on the Handicap site.

Doctors will send a letter confirming the donation to you but they have no option to send it to an E-mail address.

Can you send me your snai-mail address via the AH E-mail system? Thanks?

Or I can send it to Nash if he'll send me his address.

Straffo,

I tried to contribute via the US site, but they would not send a confirmation to France.

So I went to the French site and worked my way through thinking I'd come to the confirmation letter page... BUT

With my weak French, I worked on through and hit the "confirm" button thinking I'd still get a chance to give the gift in your name with a letter to you.

NON! They just took my money! No letter to you.

Here's the confirmation page though:

Nash, if this does not suffice as proof, I'll send you a copy of my Credit Card bill (minus the non-germane info, of course) via snail mail.

Again, congrats. Should be a done deal. I assume you got the copy of the letter Nash?
