Hey adonai i thought i would post a film of me running from our 1v1.

If you watch it you can see me drag you away from your friends and turn into you when i thought i was clear for a 1v1. I only ran when i could see your wingman and a p51 headed my way, i find it hard to believe you wanted a 1v1 considering you were flying with a wingman. My SA isn't that great but even i can spot when a gang is about to occur- I was running from a 3v1 not a 1v1. You're well known as a channel 200 diva, but please make your comments based on fact.

Adnoia isn't realy that good to begin with, why we should post about his skilless, picktard ways is beyond me. I don't know how mant times I asked him to DA, but he always comes with the excuse, "The DA is gay." when all he wants is a 1v1.

I don't normally get into things like this, but I gotta back my man Thrila (<S> bud). The evidence is contrary to what Adonai spouted off on 200. The other Corsair and Pony were keeping in range of the chase. If they were to break off, the little list on the side would have reflected that at the start.
Also, in instances like this, I absolutely love the fact that films can be auto-recorded now.

Kill whenever you can. Run whenever it seems like the thing to do. De-tune 200, I'd like to get rid of it. And let us all quit pretending there is any "fair" or "unfair" in the MA skies. :rolleyes:

You engaged me then disengaged, I turned towards 92 since you were simply extending away climbing - I stated on range leave the 109 alone,
only after the other 109 engaged you later I returned from 92 to see you shot him down.
Now did I gang you in that fight? Answer that thrila. Did I purposely gang you with the P51 and 109? Did all 3 of us dive on you?
Check the range of those cons when you disengaged and I left towards 92. Did I once turn bad towards you when they DID show up?
You were right to extend away, only after I blasted you on 200 I see then the P-51 6k away - Hence why I didn't bother to re-engage.
I have had good fights with you in the past, only reason I got steamed I never seen you disengage after 1 turn then climb away,
but I only re-engaged when N0rmal called out he was going down, hence your 1 on 1 with him was over, whatever happen to p51 I don't know,
I had to deal with a P-51 taking off when I came down and seen where you were again, and came down on you.
So you haven't answered yet - Have I ever ganged you, or in fact this fight - gang you 2 on 1? Last 3 times we fought I have on film, we both disengaged once during the furball, and I never said anything - we have had very good fights - this one I just got ticked simply the disengage
when all cons were no where close to "picking" range.

Everyone gets ganged, any rook will answer if I see a 1 on 1 going on I ask if someone needs help before I even dive in. Usually I will
appologise on 200 and explain why I dove in afterwards, This tour I am not doing that - simply until someone dies I won't dive in anymore.
Problem is every country ignores any engagement rules - yesterday had a very nice 1 on 1 with lonmower going out middle no where,
6 knits decide to ho/ram me in process - I didn't disengage, figured he'd either tell them off or let me get picked, I never once mentioned it.
You can't exactly call off 6 guys in a furball area, however I did believe I was far enough away from fight nobody would intervene unless they
were shooting for another kill in their "score" - Some still forget this is a video game.

Of course, some people make it seem like they're never wrong and are always wronged.. except once every thousand times, just to make it seem like they're not full of shoite.

I didn't bother watching the films. But after seeing Bosco ramble for quite some time about how he could "own anyone in the DA", and the aformentioned situations. I lost any respect I may have had regarding him (never recall running into him, so we started at zero). All I saw was "wah wah wah I got picked/HOd', I'll own you when the circumstances suit me". When your flight ends in "XXX shot you down" you lose.
Simple as that.
You can whine about it all day long, it happens. But when you air it out on 200 for everyone to see, someone is likely to think you less than intelligent.

Adonai this isn't about you ganging me, this about your attitude in the MA whether it be a persona or otherwise.
You can't expect to treat the rest of the community with contempt and not have it turn around and bite you on the ass. You say we've had good fights, yet you acted like a complete jerk on 200 throwing insults at me for not engaging you, in which for me would have ended up a 3v1, but that is not my point. The point is don't expect to treat people the way do and have people not think little of you. Judging by some of the other feedback in this thread i'm not the only one who is critical of your 200 verbage (lol thanks guys).

No it wasn't me. I was chasing Fly4 flying a 190 at 30K for an hour. Just me and him. I avoid TT island because of the gang-bangs and alt monkey pickers looking for buffs to kill. I like more of a challenge. :D The text buffer in the first film will back this up. I ran my mustang out of fuel stalking him several whole sectors before we engaged.If you bothered to watch the film you would have noticed the list of polits and thier planes in the film..........I'm not on that list. But nice try on diverting attention off of yourself and placing fault on the "other" guy :lol :aok

BTW, i would like to point out, Adonai let us know on channel 200 on Friday night that he is a current F/A-18 pilot for the Marine Air Wing based at Pensacola. He is currently a reservist but will be going active again shortly. I think we should show a serviceman a bit more respect...

Not really mate, I was in the wrong assuming Thrila was just running during the fight, he does have a point on the P-51 trolling around, however he decided to post saying i was picking when when I never bothered to touch him when he re-engaged someone.
However he just wants to throw that out there, so ill let him be.

The fact is the fight was going to end up a 3v1 if i didn't attempt to get out of there- your flying style is not in question your decorum is. This thread is all about your prima donna behaviour on channel 200. This thread has gone so far over your head hubble has snapped a shot of it orbiting the sun.

you never fight 1-1, you always dive and run, or gang and HO, or do something other than 1-1. granted, i used to fly with you adonai, but while i flew with you, i many times noticed you diving on others that wer perfectly fine in a 1-1.

I would comment on the film and whether it is a 3 vs 1, but i have had it pointed out to me that i only know how to pick by a certain individual here. I wish i knew how to fight :(

bronk, that screenie is as old as my sewage tank. #1 Haogey still plays, but his name isnt Hogey, #2 if adonai was stating that he wasnt the F4U, how could you show in the film he was an F4U? #3 most likely i was in the WoT when Hoagey was in it, Hoagey was in it longer than I, but Adonai flew F4U's when i was in the WoT, now i never see him so much as uppin an F4U.

Adonai i don't know what you want me to say. It's quite clear from the first film it was a 1v1 and then i disenganged when i saw 2 cons bearing down on me to prevent it becoming a 3v1.

I can't make this any clearer- This isn't a thread concerning your flying style, it's about your attitude towards other members of this community. I don't see what the date of the film has to do with anything, unless your vulching skills have massively improved since march. Perhaps you could use you outfit to join the amish community for a short time, i believe they're quite big on teaching humility.

first he said he was Active duty pilot on Pensicola, then another squad mate asked him something, and he said he was a reserve pilot at Pensicola....how could you be an active duty reserve? im only 14, but last i knew it was either Active or reserve in the Armed Forces. :salute

He actually made a derogatory comment about the marine infantry, something along the lines of "i was too smart to be in the infantry" too, which wasn't received too well. I checked if i was filming, but i wasn't unfortunately. There were quite a few people discussing it at the time so maybe one of them was.

i remember that too furby, and i wasnt recording because i was in the tower. however i think it was Grounpunder he used, not Infantry; either way, im sure some of the Real Men and Women serving our country on the ground didn't take it to well..
he cant go on forever with out posting here again....could he?

Very interesting you should mention this. I'm interested in this kind of stuff being a bit of a people watcher. Am very intuitive where it comes to reading people and consider myself to be my own man.

I believe their biggest year had a total of a million dollar in prize money.. this is spread over several tournaments, and several winners. It's not exactly big money in the end. If you're part of a top team you'll make about an above average yearly wage. Also the CPL has been on the verge of going bust so many times it's not even funny...
Besides, if you are then you're practising about 8 hours a day with your team having several training camps a year. Something an F18 pilot would have no fricken time to do...

The Marine Corps has the world's fifth largest air force consisting of most technologically advanced fighter and attack jets, helicopters and cargo aircraft. Check out the Marine Corps' equipment page to learn more about our aircraft. See the MOS Guide for more details on each military occupational specialty. Make sure to visit our Officer Programs Downloads page for more information about being a Marine Aviator.

Jennifer Harris flew with the "purple foxes". While we all think of guns and glory the vast majority of aviators (in all services) fly the bulk of their combat lives with a lot of risk and minimal potential for glory. She was on her 3rd tour of duty in Iraq and was killed days before she was due to rotate back home.

was just looking around over in NK and saw the whole Adonai scandal that has come up. I have to say that I am very disappointed in don. I used to fly in a squad with him and thought he was a pretty stand up guy. I have to say that my opinion has definitely changed. It is one thing to exaggerate some of you accomplishments when telling stories but it is unacceptable to lie about military service. I remember him telling us how he had flown corsairs and harriers. I think that is a serious low and an insult to people who have served to lie about service. On a side note though i have been in and out of ah since 2000-2001 and remember straiga. I remember him telling me and others in our squad how he was a f14 driver. I was gone when that house of lies came down, but i did have and interesting time reading the old posts and him being called out about his lies.

Its not a white lie. Its a damn lie and find I it disgusting that he has disrespected those that do the job for real for my country. I have no sympathy for a scumbag who places himself with the people that have served. My friends, people in this community, and my family, especially my father who served in the U.S.M.C. in Vietnam. Wipass I applaud your sentiment here but there's a time and a place to forgo those sentiments, especially when you take in the wider picture and right now this is it.
The community has put up with some right bollocks from this charactor. Where's it going to stop mate? You always amazed me with the motivation you had to fly in the middle of the night and then pop-up bright and early at the break of dawn to get a run in before it was too hot. It is hard for women like us to stand amongst our peers---yet you shined above them all from your ability to be sensative when the situation demanded it--to your sense of ergency when you knew your movements were the deciding factor in saving someone's life! I remember you got the name "Dove" while we were there...and Jen I think I will always remember you as that beautiful bird both inside and out! You and Megan (Maj McClung--stationed with me in Ramadi and an Academy Alumni) have etched out a divine sisterhood for all of us to celebrate each year. My son was stationed in Ramadi at the time your helicopter went down. He met you on the 7th of February there in Karmah. His unit was despatched to clear a path to your crash site. Jim was on point that day and as the TC, was first to the crash scene. Thankfully, he and the others were successfull in getting you and the others out of there that day. He was to return the next day to assist in the recovery of your ship, again on point. Unfortunately, he never made it. He and 2 others were killed enroute. I find it strange how two people from so different past come to meet. God bless you and your family. Your highly spoken of by others as I read about you. Jim was much the same way. He was my oldest son. KIA Feb 8th.

This has nothing to do with any of "US" and everything to do with the tens of thousands of soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen who suffer the loss or injury of those they work, sweat and bleed with every day on our behalf. Compound that with all the other lives every serious injury or death effects. I just picked one to give a real face to a Marine aviator who flew in harms way on our behalf and payed the price.
So yes these comments offend me deeply, and if you want to disagree why don't you consider how you'd defend this type of "harmless" action to any of those who's comments are listed above.

Most people know where they stand on this, if he was or if he wasn't isn't really an issue now is it ? This is just hounding someone for the sake of it, sure he may have told a white lie, but nobody got hurt, nobody lost any money, nobody has become homeless or caught a disease.
Beside which, how many of you sanctimonous prats have never told a lie, never told a white lie, never tried to make yourself appear something your not, how many of you are old enough to know better ? How would you feel if it was your son being hounded for a white lie ? you would clip his ear and say don't do that again. You wouldn't want to see him embarassed ?

Just got to say, this is absolutely priceless. If you really are making this stuff up Adonai you'd better hope you don't meet any of these leathernecks in real life. I can't comment from a Marines perspective. only from what I've seen from my Father (USMC MP Saigon 1968), he walks with a cane and generally has a hard time walking for more than 15 minute's at a time but I swear to god whenever anyone ever belittled anyone he served with or the Corps it seemed like he turned on some sort of superpower and proceeded to open a can of whoopa** on whomever was dumb enough to talk ****. Keep in mind this is a 63 Year old disabled vet, that being said I'd suspect you'd face even scarier odds with some of the Active Duty boys. So I hope for YOUR sake that you aren't lying, because I guarantee not matter where you are in the United States there's probably a leatherneck within a mile's distance of you.

The only interaction with Adonai Ive ever had was in the TA where he was spending his time showing us Noobs a few things. He helped me a bit when I was learning fighters and he seemed a nice guy.
Sorry If I stand alone and dont pile on this guy with the rest of the herd but its the way I am. I fight my own battles, dont allow anyone else to fight them, and tend to shy away from business that aint my own. I'm just saying Ive had a good interaction with the guy, and with Dr. Death too, "whom the herd also tends to vilify".
No doubt some have legitimate gripes about this guy. Some like ack-ack, whom I think is a goof, have made it an obsession. Maybe my outlook is different, Ive had people try and kill me and some guy on an internet forum that creates a fantasy life is small potatoes. Ive known plenty in real life who have done the same thing. What can I tell you? People are strange. I locked a guy up for beating his 6yo daughter to death on a Christmas once.
So maybe its time to put all this in perspective and put it to rest. If your intent was to punish the guy and embarrass him then I think you did. And he did it to himself even more. I dont hate this guy for this. I dont hate anyone in this game for anything. BTW "PMs" are just that, "personal messages". And anyone who would reveal one in open forum is a screwball. I'd never do so no matter what the PM said.

Some people search and desire attention by forming and fabricating things openly in public, in real life and here in fantasy land, but when that attention draws the public eye and fantasy land eyes in such a way as this has its just like in real life, you would call them out on it, wave the BS flag. so when it turns negative due to no fault other than their own, I have no sympathy for it.
He has had the opportunity in this BBS to save face and gain some respect to at least confirm, deny, apologize, lay it out on the line to clear it all up, but nothing. He has chosen to remain silent and ignore the issue which in most peoples eyes reaffirms his guilt.
As in real life, if a friend of mine was living in a fantasy world day to day, after I smacked him upside the head, he would not be a friend of mine for long.

This is from a close associate who was part of the Voss scam called 'TAS' .. and aye, Maverick .. he probably took the name of the squadron, but the scam was not done by the squad ...it was perpetrated by Voss.

Before I answer your question, I'll put my cards face up on the table, just so you know where I'm coming from.
Back when Paul "Voss" Hinds began his Scam I had already been playing AW for several years. Voss was a member of an Air Warrior Squadron called the 13th TAS, a Squad that has since had links with other online flight sim's and is also currently running in Aces High.
I only mention that because TAS was the name of the new online game at the centre of the scam, and it is important to point out that they were in no way connected with it, as far as I know the other members of the Squad are all honourable men.
Also, I've never written any of this down before, so by way of disclaimer, I will say that I'm working entirely from memory, but this is in any case how I remember those events as they occurred.
I was one of the beta testers for TAS and although I was one of the lucky ones, the scam cost me money, and wasted a great deal of my time. Also, let's not forget that at the time this was the biggest, longest and most outrageous scam ever to hit the flight sim' community! Now you know where I'm coming from, I'll answer your question.
The person who lost the most was the main investor, Michael "Amok" Hobuss, who I believe was one of Voss's AW Squad mates. From my perspective as one of the beta testers, the deal appeared to be that Voss did all the programming and design while Amok covered the expenses and development
costs, including having a new powerful development machine delivered to Voss, setting up and maintaining the beta team, bulletin board, and all advertising and promotional costs.
Now before we go any farther, let's just look at that set-up. Voss had built credibility by claiming to have two doctorates, and vast relevant experience, he was not just exaggerating, he was deliberately giving false information to a squad mate, in order to
encourage him into parting with money and equipment for services he knew that he could not deliver.
He was never in the CIA, was never an F-16 pilot and he did not shoot down two enemy aircraft has he claimed, he did not own
a P-51, and has probably never even flown one, and he did not have two PhDs.
He fabricated that entire web of lies with the obvious motivation of securing investment for his own personal gain.
This scam lasted a long time, and was fed with screen shots that looked magnificent, but which were in fact only artwork, and the delays were blamed on all manner of incredible circumstances, a scorpion bite, brain tumour, even some mention of special missions with the CIA.
During that time a large number of people were involved on the beta site, and I was one of them. I've heard that some of the beta testers were also asked for front money, but I can't recall being asked, but I do remember that I didn't send money. So I can't confirm that.
The scam dragged on so long that someone eventually checked into his background, and his military service was the first thing to come under scrutiny.
When it transpired that he had not been an F-16 pilot in the
USAF, he invented the CIA story to explain why his name didn't appear in military records, but the wall was beginning to crumble.
As more of his lies were exposed, Michael Hobuss became suspicious, but no doubt found it very hard to believe that a squad mate would lie and steal from him, so at that point he was actually covering for him.
Then things began to move quickly, because his stories were stretching credibility to the limit. I know how long you need to remain in education to get a PhD, not to mention two! Computer skills that exceeded those of the best programmers of the day, USAF training, a flying career, converting to F-16s, recruitment by the CIA, a privately owned P-51, and this man appeared to have achieved more than most could manage in two life times.
Everyone was suspicious and people were asking awkward questions. Michael Hobuss was also getting nervous and began asking awkward questions too, and that's when Voss disappeared. The Scorpion bite! It was reported that Folk
even visited Voss in hospital, so perhaps that part was true, but it just went down hill from there.
Time dragged on, and after more revelations, and no further evidence that the game even existed, Voss was supposed to have a brain tumour resulting in the end of the game's development, but then Michael Hobuss blew the whistle!
He admitted he had been conned, and lost his hardware, the
expenses and development costs, and that there never was any game. Any beta testers who had fronted money to the project had lost it. I had spent a lot of time logging onto the beta test site and incurred telephone costs and wasted many hours of my own time, but I was one of the lucky ones!
How much did Michael Hobuss eventually lose, I can't say, but I'd guess the figure must have been at least several thousand, and to be fair I heard that he was able to recover some of it. I'm not even sure how much I lost, I certainly wasn't bothered about it because it would have only been a fraction of what I was spending on AW at that time
This was a classic con! He fooled an investor, into parting with money and goods, by pretending to be something he wasn't.
The scam involved a large number of people, and left the community shaken, not because they had been taken in by a conman, but because they had been taken by one of their own,
some one many believed to be a squad mate and a friend.
For many it wasn't so much the money as the betrayal, that hurt that most.
Now I guess that all this could be forgotten if Voss had gone away, but he is still here, and he is attempting to rebuild his stock in the community.
Only recently he put out a call to the Aces High community to become involved in another project, that appeared to have all the hallmarks of another scam.
I was amazed when I saw it, and I thought to myself, "Here we
go again". Make no mistake, given the opportunity I believe he would do it again, it even looks very much as though he has actually tried already.
But fortunately, nobody took the bait. They never took the bait thanks to the efforts of those who remember, nobody has been allowed to forget.
The community has successfully protected itself by not allowing others to be taken in. That in my humble opinion is the morally correct, right and proper, thing to do.
When I see folk rehash the Voss stuff (as you call it) I'm always pleased to see it, because everytime it comes out I think that perhaps another few individuals have been made wise to him.
It also saddens me to see others defend him, because they are only helping him build a platform from which to strike again.
I haven't been able to give you exact figures, but does that answer your question?

The reason why people like Adonai and the often mentioned VOSS get the reception they do from players like myself and others is that we've seen too many in this community create a false persona and then end up scamming the community. I've seen it with KenJr and VOSS back in '90s and again when VOSS tried to start the whole crap again when he started threatening to sue HTC for intellectual property theft. Players in the flight sim community lost money because of these guys.

Some people search and desire attention by forming and fabricating things openly in public, in real life and here in fantasy land, but when that attention draws the public eye and fantasy land eyes in such a way as this has its just like in real life, you would call them out on it, wave the BS flag.
The flag is tattered Dad. Its been waved enough, and THAT was my point. Adonai was silly and immature but now he has company. Two threads with 40 or 50 pages? Nobody was defrauded here and nothing that was done was criminal. Those are the facts and I would hope everyone here would always be careful with who they like or dislike, trust or distrust, based solely on the Internet experience.
Thats why I keep a level of anonymity. Nobody outside of the Aces High staff even knows my last name or exactly where I live. Even my squadies only know the city I live and work in and thats it. Ive written to many case reports on people getting scammed and to put it bluntly I dont trust the Internet nor do I trust people all that much more.
