YEAH BABY! ITS THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN! .....
shawk is plannin this years get together ......its prolly gonna be a repeat of last years get together but our hotel will be closer to him this year.
the air show is july 19-20th
i'm goin down on the 18th and will be bringing my rugrats with me this year. they are well behaved so i promise yall wont have no problems with them. i look forward to seeing yall who show up. last year was a great event and we had sooooooooooo much fun. leave me a PM if u need more info or stay tuned to this thread for further details. i'm going to contact robert shaw and see if he would like to come hang out with us again this year. last year we was able to sit down and have good convo's with him. hes a great guy and a awsome person to chat with. <<S>>

Well after PK harassing me for two years to get down to one of the shows I'll be able to attend this year! I believe we have 6 of us from Most Wanted that are attending this year......break out the rum Scott because Petey is coming to town!

u'll b glad u came ...last year was great fun. shawk and his awsome wife robin were great hosts and welcomed us all into their home. was way much fun and i cant wait for this year. anyone that plans to attend or knows someone that plans to attend plz list their names. also. if u need a hotel room let me know because i'm calling to get a block of rooms and gonna see if i can get a good rate. for right now i'm gonna get a block of like 15 rooms, if we need more i can always add to it. i will keep yall posted.

IDK. There have been quite a few times when I was on the verge of running to Wal-Mart at 2AM to pick up a new stick... But this game is digital crack so I do my best to fight the urges. Plus it's been so damn long I'm gonna be like a n00b again, even your Turdphoon could probably kill me.
Seriously though, you need to check out Oshkosh sometime.

Me and the fiance 5point will be attending and meeting some of our sqaud mates down there also. We wont be staying in a hotel or drinking b/c we only live 45 min from there and will be driving home that night after the show..

Well I just fixed the gate to the back yard and I'm refinishing the Shed/Barn out back. Hopefully the new grass seed will be nice and thick before everyone shows up. I'll make sure Robin pooper scoops the back yard for land mines in advance :D Looks like an order for 400-500 Hinders Butt Warmers wings are in order for this year.
The Hotel is probably 2 mins from the house and 5 mins from the Airshow, so you drunks could probably crawl there if need be :O I've got plenty of wood for a Bon-Fire/Drunken Party so I think I'm all set :aok

for all of u that wasnt there last year....scott and robin were awsome hosts..they didnt have to do what they did for us and welcome us to their home it was a great time and we all had lot of time to sit and watermelon chat bout everything under the sun. i still have my b24 poster hangin on the wall above my computer desk to remind me of all that attended and signed it. i think this year we need to find somethin like that to do again cuz it was a great time. i'm hopin we got nuff rooms held if not just let them know ur with our group and they should add more rooms on if need be...ALSO ....MAKE SURE WHEN U MAKE UR RESERVATION THAT U TELL THEM THE DATE U PLAN TO SHOW UP. I HAVE ROOMS HELD FOR FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHT BUT FRIDAY I HAVE LIKE 3 OR 4 ROOMS HELD CUZ I WASNT SURE HOW MANY WAS PLANNING TO COME IN ON FRIDAY. imma bring the kids this year with me, usually i take a weekend once per year to get away but seeming how my new job requires me to be away from home so much i will bring them with me ....believe me...they will be well behaved.

The main thing is I would want to drive, and with gas at 3.50 a gallon I don't see that being a very good idea.
Edit: After some quick number crunching I'm looking at a 9.5 hour drive both ways, and probably about a $350.00 gas bill for the weekend. Who knows, maybe I can find someone along the way who wants to carpool, I would be passing through Rockford, Chicago, and Indianapolis. Hopefully they own a Prius and don't mind driving.

round trip for me is gonna b close to 11 hours drive...so whhhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaa already....besides highway drivin is always better than city. all i hear are excuses tecy :D seriously though i'm sure someone from that area might be comin who knows...shegotya lives in east chicago. maybe they have room in their trunk for you hehe :)

I think the majority of us will be getting the general admin tickets at the gate. I know that karaya and couple others have purchased other seats so we might be able to invade their space *grins* jk. I would like to try to keep every one in touch that way we can make sure we are able to all meet up and watch the show together. Last year we had a few people that got lost because of lack of communication so the closer we get to the airshow I will be posting my cellphone number so we all can keep in touch.

The original hotel rate was 129.00 per night but i was able to talk the guy into giving us a 80.00 plus tax rate. we have 15 rooms held for saturday night and 3 held for friday night. we can get more if we need just let me know if that happens i can call and add some more. the reservations need to be made before june 28th or the rooms will go back open to the general public.

i'm really stoked bout this whole thing every day that passes i get more and more excited..seein everyone again from last year and meeting new ppl this year is gonna be awsome!
please note : my daughters 13th birthday is july 21st. she would like to have cake and icecream with everyone and i'm sure that all the other kids that will be there will enjoy that also. i want to give her a 13th bday she will always remember and this is gonna make it just that for her.

brooke it is a great place. those of us that showed up for our little get together last year had a awsome time there, it was the coolest place. we all plan to go back there again this year for the ones that didn't come last year and for those like me that just felt like i didn't take enough time to enjoy it but i had to rush that day and head out. i will for sure take my time this year i dont care if i get home at like 1am in the morning, i'm gonna enjoy the museum this year :)

ok so i called the hotel to check to make sure how many rooms we have still....
we have 7 reservations made so far here is what is left
we have 3 rooms available for friday (if we need more we can get them as long as we ask before they run out)
we have 13 rooms available for saturday night (no more rooms available for saturday. 13 is the magic number yall when they are gone they are gone)
so....here is the scoop...
IF you need a room its best to get your reservations made by june 28th. IF we dont use the rooms i have saved for us they will go back to be opened to everyone at the regular price of 129.00 per night instead of our group rate of 80.00 per night. its up to yall to get your reservations made i am unable to do that for you but i was able to save you some money atleast on the room rate.

was talking to kermit last night and he mentioned that i should make an itinerary *spelling cuz its just too early in the morning for me to care*
i'll be arriving in dayton about 4pm, anyone that is attending, if you dont have my cell number please let me know and i'll get it to you. we have 27 more days left. woooot!

7:00-8:00pm - meet at the hotel, find the local bowling alley and let the kids have some fun.

Saturday

Dayton Air Show Parade
The 2008 Vandalia-Butler Chamber of Commerce Dayton Air Show Parade is Friday, July 18th. While the parade officially steps off in the evening, preparation begins as early as 3 p.m. and can create traffic congestion in the parade staging area.
Don't miss this great community event through downtown Vandalia. The route begins at St. Christopher’s parking lot (on U.S. 40 near I-75), travels west to the historic Crossroads of America, turns north on North Dixie and finishes at the Delphi plant on Northwoods Blvd. Motorists should exercise great caution and patience in the area because of the increased pedestrian traffic.

akdogg's wifey had informed me of this parade. i'm not sure how many of yall plan to be in dayton before 3pm, however i will be leaving my house earlier so that i can meet up with the dogg family and go to the parade with them before its time to get ready and meet everyone to go bowling.....i will be calling the hotel soon to get the location of the closest bowling alley. i know some of yall will be comin in later on in the evening, i personally think that between like 7-8pm everyone that is comin in by then can meet up at the hotel and go to the bowling alley, for those that come in later just call me and meet up with us as you arrive. AFTER bowling...as a request by the might green frog..kermit would like to go to a local bar and have a few drinks. for those that are interested to do that we'll work out the details at the bowling alley. i know speaking for my rugrats...by time we get up early, have log car ride, parade then bowling...they will be ready to settle in for the night prolly about 11pm. my daughter is going to be 13 so i can take a couple hours after they go to bed to hang out with yall. but i will have to make sure they are in bed before i do anything. let me know yall's thoughts on the parade and ETA...this will help me better get idea of who all will be coming in on friday night. :)

ok all! we have 5 days left to get the reservations in before the rooms go open to the public....ALSO!
the closest bowling alley is 7 miles away in troy (not sure which direction that is) the girl at the hotel did say there is a gas station that sells beer across the road and there are dinners near by to eat. she said most the stuff is across the express way sooooooo i guess i dont mind the bowling alley bein like 10 mins away.
i did talk to her bout the pool and hot tub. she said it stays open till 10 pm but if we BEGGGGGG the 3rd shift person they may keep it open for us to hang out there for while. i'm thinkin the hot tub sounds like a great idea!

yes...the 12th - 13th i'll be in michigan city IN. my boss told me today she's prolly gonna have me drive down friday so that i can set up saturday. i'm still unsure of my hours i'll be working but i will be able to make time to meet everyone. if i have to i can meet everyone after work. usually sunday i dont have to be to work that early.

well guys.....bob shaw called me tonight, i gave him shawks address and number. he will be there bout 6:30-7pm on saturday night. he's lookin forward to meeting everyone.
also...if yall heard of that new series on military channel "showdown fighter combat" or whatever it is...anyways...bob is one of the "talking heads" as he put it. i THINK he said it is sunday at 10pm est. not sure. my fone was in and out of service cuz of the storm rollin through. anyways. he said there are 10 shows in the series and he will be on them. hes cool guy and i'm sure if yall dont know who he is, you will find his conversation really interesting. bob is a cool guy and met with alot of us last year.

lol dogg...i cant believe out of the MILLION damn AH'er numbers i have on my contact list that u was the ONLY one home by your computer....i got lucky too cuz u said u was about to leave hehe..i did find it, it was the most UNORGANIZED event that i have ever attended, it was all outside and the spot they had reserved for my company was between these 2 trees that was like 15 feet apart and the branches was SO low that i could not set up my canopy, the wind kept knocking my trifold display down and blowing my flyers all over the damn place, atleast it was sunny out, needless to say i was NOT a good night for me. i closed up when it got dark cuz there were no lights and i dont have any lights for my display so i was left in the dark. i actually ended up driving home and got home bout 2am. i didnt even want to see the hotel my company had reserved for me. but anyways, enough about that. thank you for you help, i was TOTALLY goin the wrong direction...hehe <<S>>

As per Betty's request I'm posting this here as well as GD BB's
I'm leaving for Dayton on Friday and returning on Sunday. I don't have a specific time yet as I'm flexible, but I live in the burbs of Chicago and will be passing thru Chicago, Indiana and near the southern end of Michigan. If you need a lift and wouldn't mind sharing a ride in my Conversion Van and contributing for gas, I will pick you up as long as it's not far off the beaten path so to speak.

its 3.50 per game OR 12.00 (includes shoe rental) for all u can bowl in 3 hours. its 1.50 per person to rent shoes. they have a snack bar where they offer pizza, burgers...blah blah blah. i have 6 lanes reserved for our group cuz i couldnt tell exactly how many ppl will be bowling or coming.

i have to work till 9pm, finish packing my bag and get sleep cuz 6am comin really early, my kids have their bags packed and are ready to go..car is washed, shampoo'd and vacuumed out...gotta find the rest of my CD's and i'll be set, i just need to invest in a Ipod and plug it into my stereo. i got snacks for the cooler for the trip down cuz i know my kids will wanna stop every 3 exits to get food or go to the bathroom, this will be the longest road trip for them they have ever been on so they are really excited.

DAYTON GET TOGETHER AAR....
friday night :
Akdogg and family had arrived before me, spending some time at the museum. I arrived around 12:30pm and went right to SHawks house. Arriving I see Robin outside, she and I chatted for a few minutes while I introduced my rugrats and then she told me mulletman was in the computer room. Walking down the hall I hear mulletman talking. I walk to see him still in his jammies ( I think spiderman ones) no shirt on and mullet was all over the place and he was in a whirble defending a base. After he decided to get his daily clothes on, we go outside and chat. I went to the hotel...having difficulty finding it, I faithfully follow mulletmans directions as I was already lost. I took a right at the first road as directed only figuring out the hard way that it was a ONE WAY! So after a few honks and flips of the bird I fix my car and go down the right road to the hotel. Settling in I meet AKdogg and family. Great people they are. Afterwards I head back over to mulletmans..by this time we had discovered that the parade was gonna start later than originally thought so we decided just to skip it and wait for everyone to meet to go bowling. A few of us ended up at shawks house, chatting as more people arrived. WHERE THE HELL IS THAT DAMN FROG....HE'S POSED TO BE HERE BY NOW. So I figure he's probably napping as he had a early flight. WRONG!!! Mr. Kermit had decided to log into AH and get a sortie in before leaving for the airport. WE ALL KNOW HOW THAT GOES!....you can't do JUST ONE SORTIE! So Mr. Kermit misses his flight because he arrived at the airport too late..I KIND OF BLAME THIS ON SPARTIN! Anyways. I talk to Kermy on the phone and he said he would be in around 11:30pm. COOL! So mulletman decides to go hang out with some of the most wanted, others decided to join him and the rest of us kept our plans for bowling. Meeting up at the hotel, people slowly arrived. Poor jstr and family had a blow out on a tire in rush hour traffic in Indianapolis and was running late, BK..well he's never on time. BK's dad and I get directions for the sort of goofy front desk girl at the hotel and I tell him that he's the mission leader and we'll follow him. By this time I'm sort of getting stressed cuz GUNIT wouldn't stop texting me! My cellphone was dying at this time. Anyways, we arrived at the bowling alley. It didn't look like much however it ended up a good time. Going back to the hotel I let my rugrats take a dip in the pool then get them ready for bed, by this time I filled my blinky pepsi cup half full of soco and half full with red bull. I meet up with AKillz in the lobby and sit down chatting with him, 4x comes down just as kermy comes thru the front doors, we all sit down chatting and of course...I had to make sure kermy had a drink cuz of the " I been here 30 minutes so far and I haven't started drinking yet...wtf" comment, so his wish is my command..hehe. I got up to my room and make him a nice strong socobomb. Shegotya, nghtmare and badger8 arrived and join in the convo. Shortly after the front desk girl tells us we either have to quiet down or move into the dinning area cuz we're too loud. Well now...you know what happens next....we move to the dinning area. Quiet was NOT in our vocab. Slowly everyone starts going to bed and it was kermy and I left, drinking and bs'n till 4:30am we call it a night.
Saturday
OHHHHHHHHHHHH MY GOD its so hot and humid outside. A bit hung over and suffering from a lack of sleep we go over to bob evans for breakfast. Jstr & family, karaya, kermy, myself & kids, sgy, nghtmare, badger, 4x & son all settle in and make our orders. Bmathis and his family arrived not long afterwards and mulletman finally drug his butt out of bed. Heading to the airshow after our bellies were full, karaya hooks 4x with a VIP parking..yayyyyyz!...but its still a long walk! It felt like it was like 150 degree's outside and no shade. Can't take coolers in so your stuck paying 3.00 for a bottle of water. YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDIN ME! 3.00 for a bottle of water? Anyways, we meet up with Cee64, shortly afterwards gunit & family, the DOW guys, kenny40 & dad ( SQEEK FOR ME KENNY!!!!!!!) arrive. Kenny cracks me up by walking up to kermy and goes " hi kermit...SQEEEKKKKKKKKKKK!!" too funny! Most Wanted and the Bops come down after a bit and ohhhhh my god! Look at this crowd! It was AWSOME! Some of us visited and watched the show for a bit then decided it was just too damn hot! Heading back to the hotel half dehydrated we hit the pool and showers. WHOA! Its 5pm! Heading to shawks around 5pm I walk up seeing mulletman on a ladder, kenny & dad is there, karaya, and others that I cant remember right now due to my lack of sleep. Anyways. I walk up on the deck and out walks SKYROCK! HI MARK! nice to finally meet you! Chatting for a bit with everyone as they arrive I look around. HOLY COW! This is awsome! The yard is filling up fast! Shawk, Kermy and I go up to get the food, birthday cake and alcohol. Coming back it was time to eat! 500 awsome wings!!! Lots of other food and drinks! After eating badger8 and myself decided to do a "applejack" (jack and apple pucker" shot. It hits me like a ton of bricks! Bob Shaw arrives shortly after 7pm or so and everyone finally gets to meet him. Gotya and I started taking party donations shortly after everyone had ate and had a few drinks in them *wink* everyone is more willing to give us females money when they had a few. hehe. Everyone was great with the donations! THANK YOU ALL BY THE WAY! Giving out hats, mouse pads and shirts everyone seems to be having a good time. GROUP PHOTO! WOW! that was a task! Tall people up top and short people on the bottom! Some how I ended up with PK kneeling down beside me like a good lil boy...hehe. After the pics was taken (and yes! we all was looking in the wrong direction cuz there was like a million camera's for everyone to have a copy) I go in to get the birthday cake. My daughter Alyssa turns 13 monday and wanted to celebrate it down there. Everyone did great singing happy birthday to her. THANK YOU ALL! The Most Wanted had a bouquet of flowers sent to shawk's house as a present from the squad, kermy got her a snow globe from san diego (never snows there...go figure). THANK YOU ALL FOR THE KIND GIFTS TO HER! Party is going pretty strong by now, skyrock has his guitar out, bob is chatting with everyone telling stories of crashing hitech's rv8, and making us all laugh with his discriptiion of the event. Alcohol everywhere! Some the boys were playing catch with the littler boys, kaw1000 wanting to get some corn holing goin, its just time to sit and take it all in. Going back to the hotel around 12:30am or so, kermy, myself, sgy, nghtmare, badger, skyrock, lyric all hang out in the dinning area again, doing shots and socobombs I get pretty plowed and go to bed around 2:30am.
Sunday
Akdogg & family leave around 6:30ish and arrive in the hotel lobby only to see skyrock passed out on the lobby floor. The girl behind the desk informs them "he's been here all night" Akdogg couldn't resist and gets a pic of this rare finding. I wake up around 8ish calling frog boy waking him up. I'm hungry and need food to help with this hangover! Breakfast then museum! Yayyyyyyyz! Walking around taking LOTS of pics my hangover starts getting the best of me and I only want the 6 hour drive home to be over with. Kermy has to leave by 2:30 for his flight and everyone else has kind of left or was on the way out. Driving home I only have this one thought......Why can't the weekend be just a little longer, I have many regrets that I was unable to spend more time with everyone. I am very thankful for everyone that attended it was great to meet yall! Dayton 2009 will be bigger and better! SGY and myself along with the support of shawk and robin will be planning next years event around feb or march.

I haven't a clue of where to begin.
This TRULY smokes the AH 2003 Con I went to. Scott, you're a true gentleman in every way possible. You opened your home to more than 75 people this weekend. You and Robin are on my "if we EVER drive through, we're stopping even if only to say HI" list. Also, I'm glad I at least got to chat with you 1 on 1 for a few minutes. This is why I play the game. You never winced whilst chauffeuring me around Friday night. The Spitfire was good, but having a few hours to chat with Forker, PK, 0ldemon, OGIE, DaPup, Alaskan, biker, his buddy Tom (who could've passed for any AH'er, because while not only was he a hoot, he's also a pilot), RacrX and yourself, was simply priceless.
Saturday was even more special. I felt like a sweetheartbag as I not only allowed 4X to park for free. I was told to go on the shuttle leave you all behind. It wasn't easy watching Kermit utter "You're a genius" to the guy directing folks on the shuttle. Next year, I'll be getting GA tix and we'll walk together. I sat with you guys and had to leave a couple of times to go to the chalet and hang with the Most Wanted AND the BoP's. I brought these sad sacks over to your section in GA and left after a bit to finally meet an old squaddie from CAF, Falc. Maybe I can post a picture in the future, but that will be up to him. I even called 4XTCH over to meet him.
After the airshow, we unload at the hotel and immediately go to Scott's crib. I help him with minute things with OGIE, while I asked "where is Mark?" He was sleeping, I even said as they started to, "Let him sleep." But, he came out and was again, a gentleman. Sure he can drive others nuts in this game, but if you meet him after talking to him like I have, you'd know that he's a great guy. His serenades at the end of the night, we're sometimes "over the top", but nevertheless, a perfect bookend to my weekend. The group photo was great as we had about 5 or more cameras to try and look at. Meeting Cmdr Shaw and having him personalize my book was special as well. He is a great man, who was genuinely interested in me telling a couple stories of my now deceased grandfather. He fought in the Pacific with the USMC from 43-46. I had a diffucult time remembering some of the stories that my grandfather told me growing because this weekend was overwhelming for me. It has been 10 years since my grandfather passed on, not to mention I'm talking to a well known figure and meeting folks I've chatted with for the last 6 years. I managed to get all of the details out though.
Betty, you did a great job with this. It was also great to come in from the bar on Friday night and see you guys sitting in the lobby. I believe around 1am we went into the Coffee bar area to continue talking.
I'll stop now and let someone else post their thoughts. I'll be bringing the wife and kid next year.
Again Scott, it was most excellent to meet you and just relax for a weekend. :salute

Well while most of those who went to AH is actually mingling withing other folks from AH, those of us from Most Wanted came to a realization... after we ran bar tabs to around $800... we've decided we're a drinking squad with an air plane problem. :)
This weekend was a blast. People from last year, Scott, Kermit, Betty, SGY, Nightmare, etc etc, but I also got to meet people like Dogg who I've flown with for almost 10 years, and never seen before. People like Karaya, who I have a blast with making fun of people and doing random ignorant missions. Meeting SkyRock... and I'd have to say, even though its been said time and time again, great guy, and hilarious as hell.
We as a squad came from all over, Pup from CT, Forker from La, biker from Pa, me and 0ldemon from here in Canton, and then Alaskn coming from Juneau, and our "Honorary" squaddie airjer driving from Houston. It was well worth it.
To all those I have mentioned and especially those I didn't, <S> and thanks for the experience!!

First off like to thank Scott & his family for hosting the get together they clearly had put a lot of work together to host us all. It was nice to meet every one & was a lot of fun. Thanks to Betty & all those who helped organise every thing. Skyrock was very entertaining with his serenading & addlibbing as he went along with his songs it was funny stuff.

we're gonna start planning it around then, but it will more than likely be around the same time next year as this year and the year past. some time in july :)
the hotel guy called me and said they was happy with our group, we didnt make no trouble and said that some soccer team came in and they had problems like crazy with them, he said he hopes next year that the AH group will rent the WHOLE hotel so he doesn't have to let anyone else in. sounds like a great idea to me :)

Well it's 5:00pm on Monday and I am pretty much just waking up, I had a few delays and a missed flight on my way home and didn't get to my house until just after 2am and was still pretty amped up so stayed awake telling the stories from the weekend to my wife. I showed her my bar tabs and she just laughed, shook her head and said she was glad I had a good time....damn, she's too good for me :angel:
I want to thank PK for pushing me to come this year, I probably won't miss another!! Thanks to Karaya for treating me like we had known each other our whole lives. Thanks to Betty for getting everyone involved, and it was great meeting your family! SGY and Nightmare made everyone around feel welcome and it was an honor meeting and getting to spend time with you Friday night!
Hanging out with my brothers in Most Wanted, all of you, Ogie, Shawk, RacerX and more on Friday night was a blast. I could have done only that and it would have been worth it!
The Air Show was fun and it was cool that some of the Bops were in the tent next to us, it was great chatting with you guys during the day. Matrix, your son impressed me very much as did all the younger players that were at both the show and Scott's house afterward.
Meeting SkyRock was good, he is exactly what I expected, a gentleman, funny, talented and friendly :D
Getting to meet Dogg and Killz was awesome, it's funny that you can know someone for so long and consider them a good friend although you have never met. You guys didn't disappoint, you faces are stored now and when we chat it will add another dimension as it will with everyone from this weekend!
A big thanks to my Most Wanted buddies for putting up with me for two alcohol infused nights hehe
A big :salute to everyone that was there, it was great! I don't think I have ever laughed as hard or as much as I did this weekend! I am starting my recovery as we speak and getting ready for next year!!
p.s. Betty, the unknown in the pic was Tom. He was with us and one of Bikers buddies from PA, he was alot of fun this weekend!

Days after Dayton and great thoughts are still running through my head. I still haven't cleaned out my cooler.
Who do you /I thank first? Where could anyone who was there begin.
First, and in no particular order SHAWK and wife. Scott, many thanks have to go out to you and your lovely wife Robin. WOW!... Thank You for being so gracious and hospitable and opening your home to us.
Secondly, Karaya... What can I say about this guy... I first met him at a little get together in Kalamazoo MI. back in April, and it's like I've known this guy all my life. Thanks Jay for sharing your room with me and my son Jon... and providing us with your VIP parking pass. We played the scenerio out ahead of time and knew what the risks were.
Thirdly, Betty and SHEGOTYA.... Our "Dayton AH Event planners"... You guys did a GREAT job... lot of stress leading up to it, but I told ya Betty it was gonna be like Christmas and be over before it was supposed to.
Thanks to everyone who showed up to make this weekend one of the most memorable for me and my son. BTW if you look behind at the pics above of Nghtmare, Matrix, Shegotya and Myself, you will see my son Jon and MatrixJr and AKjrDogg. I got this feeling the young guns of AH are going to be a force to recon with for a long time to come.

Betty, thanks for getting everyone together like that. It was better than last year's, which I thought was great. This year had too many people for me to get to know. Shawk, thanks for letting us use your place as a gathering spot on Sat night. Nice home and a great job on your deck and your office room. I thought they were a great touch and very cool. Have fun staining. Also, thank you for the ride to the liquor store. Guys at that store knew we had a serious party going on with the stuff we bought. :)
Corona's were great and the precut-bartender-made limes were a great touch...too bad betty hide them from all of us for the first few hours. :mad: Poor SGY had to use the "special" knife since shawk didn't want to have her hurt herself. :P Bmathis couldn't drink that much...too bad...could have had some great drinking games. I felt we needed more time to BS. Jstr, it was great to meet you. I didn't know you were on the list to show. Congrats on your up and coming child. If you need help with anything, let me know. 613gooss, we got to fly together as well.
Alskn, I had heard that you were coming all the way from Alaska. It was great to meet you. PK1, you need to need to organze your squad better and have them stay at same place as us next year. You guys suck for drinking without me, then again, next year I'll try not to miss my flight and I'll be there early on friday instead of arriving at midnight. Cab ride to airport was quick since I fell asleep, just as I did on the airplane ride home. Running on a couple of hours of sleep, lots of liquor and little food, it was all great. My only regret was the little time we all had to try to meet each other.

all i have got left to say about dayton is just this....
WOW! the lack of sleep and LOTS of alcohol was worth it. i finally recoop'd and i'm off to work. i will be back in a hotel room till sunday in ludington michigan working. then next week i'll be in saginaw.
i want to thank everyone for all the good times and memories that myself as well as my rugrats will have for ever. i surely cant wait till next year and hope that those that we unable to attend can join in the fun with us. BIG BIG BIG kudos to scott and robin for opening their home to us, i know its been said time and time again but you both will never really fully understand how greatful we all are that you guys did that for us. DAYTON GET TOGETHER AAR....
friday night :
Akdogg and family had arrived before me, spending some time at the museum. I arrived around 12:30pm and went right to SHawks house. Arriving I see Robin outside, she and I chatted for a few minutes while I introduced my rugrats and then she told me mulletman was in the computer room. Walking down the hall I hear mulletman talking. I walk to see him still in his jammies ( I think spiderman ones) no shirt on and mullet was all over the place and he was in a whirble defending a base. After he decided to get his daily clothes on, we go outside and chat. I went to the hotel...having difficulty finding it, I faithfully follow mulletmans directions as I was already lost. I took a right at the first road as directed only figuring out the hard way that it was a ONE WAY! So after a few honks and flips of the bird I fix my car and go down the right road to the hotel. Settling in I meet AKdogg and family. Great people they are. Afterwards I head back over to mulletmans..by this time we had discovered that the parade was gonna start later than originally thought so we decided just to skip it and wait for everyone to meet to go bowling. A few of us ended up at shawks house, chatting as more people arrived. WHERE THE HELL IS THAT DAMN FROG....HE'S POSED TO BE HERE BY NOW. So I figure he's probably napping as he had a early flight. WRONG!!! Mr. Kermit had decided to log into AH and get a sortie in before leaving for the airport. WE ALL KNOW HOW THAT GOES!....you can't do JUST ONE SORTIE! So Mr. Kermit misses his flight because he arrived at the airport too late..I KIND OF BLAME THIS ON SPARTIN! Anyways. I talk to Kermy on the phone and he said he would be in around 11:30pm. COOL! So mulletman decides to go hang out with some of the most wanted, others decided to join him and the rest of us kept our plans for bowling. Meeting up at the hotel, people slowly arrived. Poor jstr and family had a blow out on a tire in rush hour traffic in Indianapolis and was running late, BK..well he's never on time. BK's dad and I get directions for the sort of goofy front desk girl at the hotel and I tell him that he's the mission leader and we'll follow him. By this time I'm sort of getting stressed cuz GUNIT wouldn't stop texting me! My cellphone was dying at this time. Anyways, we arrived at the bowling alley. It didn't look like much however it ended up a good time. Going back to the hotel I let my rugrats take a dip in the pool then get them ready for bed, by this time I filled my blinky pepsi cup half full of soco and half full with red bull. I meet up with AKillz in the lobby and sit down chatting with him, 4x comes down just as kermy comes thru the front doors, we all sit down chatting and of course...I had to make sure kermy had a drink cuz of the " I been here 30 minutes so far and I haven't started drinking yet...wtf" comment, so his wish is my command..hehe. I got up to my room and make him a nice strong socobomb. Shegotya, nghtmare and badger8 arrived and join in the convo. Shortly after the front desk girl tells us we either have to quiet down or move into the dinning area cuz we're too loud. Well now...you know what happens next....we move to the dinning area. Quiet was NOT in our vocab. Slowly everyone starts going to bed and it was kermy and I left, drinking and bs'n till 4:30am we call it a night.
Saturday
OHHHHHHHHHHHH MY GOD its so hot and humid outside. A bit hung over and suffering from a lack of sleep we go over to bob evans for breakfast. Jstr & family, karaya, kermy, myself & kids, sgy, nghtmare, badger, 4x & son all settle in and make our orders. Bmathis and his family arrived not long afterwards and mulletman finally drug his butt out of bed. Heading to the airshow after our bellies were full, karaya hooks 4x with a VIP parking..yayyyyyz!...but its still a long walk! It felt like it was like 150 degree's outside and no shade. Can't take coolers in so your stuck paying 3.00 for a bottle of water. YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDIN ME! 3.00 for a bottle of water? Anyways, we meet up with Cee64, shortly afterwards gunit & family, the DOW guys, kenny40 & dad ( SQEEK FOR ME KENNY!!!!!!!) arrive. Kenny cracks me up by walking up to kermy and goes " hi kermit...SQEEEKKKKKKKKKKK!!" too funny! Most Wanted and the Bops come down after a bit and ohhhhh my god! Look at this crowd! It was AWSOME! Some of us visited and watched the show for a bit then decided it was just too damn hot! Heading back to the hotel half dehydrated we hit the pool and showers. WHOA! Its 5pm! Heading to shawks around 5pm I walk up seeing mulletman on a ladder, kenny & dad is there, karaya, and others that I cant remember right now due to my lack of sleep. Anyways. I walk up on the deck and out walks SKYROCK! HI MARK! nice to finally meet you! Chatting for a bit with everyone as they arrive I look around. HOLY COW! This is awsome! The yard is filling up fast! Shawk, Kermy and I go up to get the food, birthday cake and alcohol. Coming back it was time to eat! 500 awsome wings!!! Lots of other food and drinks! After eating badger8 and myself decided to do a "applejack" (jack and apple pucker" shot. It hits me like a ton of bricks! Bob Shaw arrives shortly after 7pm or so and everyone finally gets to meet him. Gotya and I started taking party donations shortly after everyone had ate and had a few drinks in them *wink* everyone is more willing to give us females money when they had a few. hehe. Everyone was great with the donations! THANK YOU ALL BY THE WAY! Giving out hats, mouse pads and shirts everyone seems to be having a good time. GROUP PHOTO! WOW! that was a task! Tall people up top and short people on the bottom! Some how I ended up with PK kneeling down beside me like a good lil boy...hehe. After the pics was taken (and yes! we all was looking in the wrong direction cuz there was like a million camera's for everyone to have a copy) I go in to get the birthday cake. My daughter Alyssa turns 13 monday and wanted to celebrate it down there. Everyone did great singing happy birthday to her. THANK YOU ALL! The Most Wanted had a bouquet of flowers sent to shawk's house as a present from the squad, kermy got her a snow globe from san diego (never snows there...go figure). THANK YOU ALL FOR THE KIND GIFTS TO HER! Party is going pretty strong by now, skyrock has his guitar out, bob is chatting with everyone telling stories of crashing hitech's rv8, and making us all laugh with his discriptiion of the event. Alcohol everywhere! Some the boys were playing catch with the littler boys, kaw1000 wanting to get some corn holing goin, its just time to sit and take it all in. Going back to the hotel around 12:30am or so, kermy, myself, sgy, nghtmare, badger, skyrock, lyric all hang out in the dinning area again, doing shots and socobombs I get pretty plowed and go to bed around 2:30am.
Sunday
Akdogg & family leave around 6:30ish and arrive in the hotel lobby only to see skyrock passed out on the lobby floor. The girl behind the desk informs them "he's been here all night" Akdogg couldn't resist and gets a pic of this rare finding. I wake up around 8ish calling frog boy waking him up. I'm hungry and need food to help with this hangover! Breakfast then museum! Yayyyyyyyz! Walking around taking LOTS of pics my hangover starts getting the best of me and I only want the 6 hour drive home to be over with. Kermy has to leave by 2:30 for his flight and everyone else has kind of left or was on the way out. Driving home I only have this one thought......Why can't the weekend be just a little longer, I have many regrets that I was unable to spend more time with everyone. I am very thankful for everyone that attended it was great to meet yall! Dayton 2009 will be bigger and better! SGY and myself along with the support of shawk and robin will be planning next years event around feb or march.

I have never met Tatertot in person..certainly not his wife and two kids..so when I and my son Elliott came knocking on his door at 12:30 AM last Friday it was kinda weird...for about 2 minutes!
Can't say enouph good things about tatertot and his family ...he is very blessed ......no wonder he is so happy when online. Tatertots wife made every aspect of our stay wonderful!...Elliott wanted to stay longer...and I wasn't five miles to the airport and he is asking me can they come next year to our house!
