Welcome to Electial Dysfunction. The inability to become aroused over any of the choices for President put forth by either party during an election year.

the democrats have 9000 lawyers standing by, the republicans have 5000, you think hanging chads in florida was fun, wait for nov.

McCain will win, why? Voter fraud. It's a done deal in states like Ohio.
Read the charges filed in this lawsuit in Ohio. He names names, shows exactly which county officials are making votes vanish.

Those are some scary accusations.

I think a lot of fence sitters are going to decide at the end that they just dont know Obama and just dont trust him to vote for.
I mean who is the guy other then a symbol and even then people forget he's 1/2 white anyways. "Symbols" just aren't important enough to give launch code keys to. He came up in IL and he came up the IL. way, which is about as on the up and up as a $6 dollar bill. Had he served longer in congress and spent years making decisions on issues we would know him better. Like him or hate him at least we "know" John McCain, and I am not a big McCain guy.
I mean who is Barrack Obama? The only one we know is the media creation and entertainment Industries darling.
I believe America wants a return to the values that made us great in the first place. I dont think Obama is the man to do it, nor do I even think he knows what it means in the first place. Obama is no maverick and no agent for "change". Hes a young guy whos said and done what hes had to in order to make it to the next rung.

I mean who is Barrack Obama?
Why, he's the King baby... :D

Don't fret none...we stole the last two elections and we'll steal this one too.
I love seeing Democrats crying over milk that hasn't been spilt yet.

Ok, everyone's making attacks but no one is putting up well thought out argument why Obama will lose.

I haven't heard a well thought out argument why he should win :D
-

Obama will lose because the closet racist dems that cannot pull the lever for a black guy greatly outnumber the blacks inspired by him to vote. Blacks are the only minority who will vote for him because he's a minority. They have smugly written off states like Michigan that have loyally towed the party line since forever. The fact is that they have been asked up until now to tow the party line for old white men.
I'll say it again: November has the potential to be so lopsided that it could in fact be the beginning of the revolution that laser dreams about daily.

Gallup estimated that Obama loses about 6% nationally to straight up racism. I don't have my source handy on that, but I can find it if you want to call me out on it.
Nobody checks "cause he's a blackie" on the poll that says 'Reasons why you wouldn't vote for Obama'. So it must be inferred by voters who voted Democratic for candidates with similar policies but don't vote for Obama now.
I can cite a university study that shows Ohio in 2004 went Kerry. That when you factored various polling techniques, and controlled for bias error, Kerry should still have won - but didn't. Conclusion: the race was stolen.
In 4 years, the Republicans have gotten even better at vote stealing. Diebold machines cheating tricks harder to detect.
The best thing to have happen is large numbers of Republicans stay home, because they didn't really want McCain to start with. But Palin fixes much of that - she will bring out the evangelicals. And they are powerful, because they don't just bring themselves - they drag alot of independents in their churches to their side.
Obama will have to win Ohio by 10 points in reality, to squeek out a tabulated 1 point victory. And he's not winning by that much.
Michigan is a dead heat, which is amazing. Kilpatrick is in jail, Detroit has lost 600,000 residents since 2004. They can't hold Michigan, the west side evangelicals just love the moose lady.
Biden doesn't bring toejam. He was meant to shore up independents nationally on the experience issue of foreign policy. Evan Bayh wasn't going to bring Indiana with him, and they felt they had Virginia already.
McCain has it. Palin will go down in history as the housewife with the 105-IQ who became president, if he kicks off in office. And at his age, that is about a 15% chance.
It's terrifying, but the first thing she will do is choose Dick Cheney as Veep, and we'll be back to what we have.

I'm sorry, I couldn't get past the first paragraph.
When Benjamin Franklin was dispatched to France as ambassador of the United States in 1776, he won the hearts of the French through his authenticity. Rather than take on an affected and phony continental style, Franklin eschewed the powdered wig of the European gentleman and donned the fur cap of an American frontiersman. Original genius and polymath, Franklin understood that the French would see through any false pretension but respect an authenticity that sprang from an unpretentious and naive love of country.
Ben Franklin, one of America's best known Aristocrats, dons a fur cap and THIS ISN'T SEEN AS PANDERING?
Is this guy a moron?

Because he's Obama, that's why.
If you want specifics:
He will get less electoral votes than McCain.

Are you serious? Or just that stupid? Al Gore lost in 2000 because the voter fraud people were too stupid to actualy read the name on the ballot. John Kerry was an all around idiot, everyone knew Kerry was going to lose. If you say Palin is smart, then Kerry is a retard if you want to compare.
Everyone in my family knew Kerry was going to lose too. Sad... Quit watching NBC.

Hey!!!
You didn't notice the 3 question marks in the thread title?
Question marks that are NOT part of the original piece?
The 3 question marks that I PUT THERE?
Take it as a grain of salt?
I am....
been looking at voting records and such and Obama is NOT getting my vote.
Got to say something here....
Something isn't quite right about Obama.
The BIG MEDIA is giving him a pass on way too many things.
Not sure McCain is gonna get it either.
Watched that Ron Paul discussion with the Fox News guys and heard something said that has been my opinion for some time.
Paul said that they are both a PART of the same special interest group?
I believe it! That has been my opinion for a very long time now.
We are getting a dog and pony show meant to distract us while the REAL stuff that is going on is probably MUCH DIFFERENT.
Can't get a link on it as it's a video.

Why do we pledge allegiance to a flag? I always thought it would be better if it went like this:
"I pledge allegiance to the people of the United States of America". Not the Governement. Not a silly piece of cloth. But to other American citizens.

I had to copy and paste this from the comments in the article that Eagler posted. This guy nails it-
Really getting tired of the Left claiming to be the "intelligent" party.
Last I checked, intelligent people don't fall for nonsense like this poser Obama.
Yet the supposed "intelligent" have swallowed snake-oil from Gore, Kerry, Edwards, Carter.
How can anyone feel a smug security in being "intelligentsia" when in fact they're a sucker for a typical tainted Chicago Democratic Machine politician?
You Dems are being played like flutes because a candidate is appealing to your intellectual vanity, and plying you with out-dated economic practices, proveably wrong social models?
Are you so spiritually desperate, you cling to the first messianic figure that quotes Marxist lunatic ideas?
That vanity by the way, pretty much forfeits your mensch membership application.
I thought y'all were supposed to be smart?
I think "intelligentsia" was originally used in a sarcastic way. Probably ought to seek maturation instead. Eh?
Can anyone explain this to me?

That silly piece of cloth is a national emblem.
I suspect pledging allegiance to the flag has it's roots back in the days when flags on a battlefield actually meant something to those fighting there.

This mess is going to take 3 to 4 years minimum to stabalize, I would advise either candidate to tank the run ... let the other guy take the blame for the way it is handled during their administration.. and start campaigning next year

Because that silly piece of cloth represents this country and everything this country stands for. Why the hell do you think it's drapped over the coffins of those who served this country and gave their very lives for it?
I swear to God, people that make statements like that should have their teeth punched out. There should be a law allowing it for anyone who ever proudly served under that flag.
You think it's a silly piece of cloth, then pack your bags and GET OUT!!!! No one will miss you.

NOW NOW you're sounding like you are willing to commit VIOLENCE over your beliefs!!
THAT IS NOT P.C.
You KNOW the P.C. Crowd will be ALL OVER you such...... violence!
Now IMHO violence is JUST like anything else, IT HAS IT'S PLACE.
When the supreme court ruled that kickin some edjets butt for burnin the flag was violating his 1st Amendment rights my response was the person doing the kickin was practicin their 1st Amendment rights just in a different manner.
There is only so much a person can or should have to stand..............
IIRC that is a legitimate argument in a court of law.
Any one that come back to this with the STOOOOPID violence never solves anything....
Tell that to the people of Carthage!
Tell that to all the people that had to face Genghis Khan!
Tell that to the Duke of Wellington and Napoleon!
And Adolf Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, I could go on.....

I had time to read the article. Quote:
When Obama refers to “my Muslim faith,” the verbal gaffe resonates as a Freudian slip because of Obama’s thinly veiled hatred for this country’s unique culture and institutions.
Obama sat for 20 years in a church where the Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr preached “whoopee America.” He only resigned from the congregation when it became politically expedient to do so.
When earlier this year, Michelle Obama said “for the first time in my adult life, I am proud of my country,” can we conclude that her husband disagrees? Is it not remarkable that Michelle Obama can be so small-minded as to find nothing in the history of the United States that merits her admiration but the personal success of her husband?
^^"I'm the Center of the Universe" syndrome.^^

the very thought of obama makes my bowels move :(
He's gotten too far left to really have as much of an honest shot at the presidency, IMHO...of course, many on here stated back at the beginning of the primary's that Obama wouldn't even get the nomination, but yet here he is.
The one thing that possibly could have saved the Dem's would have been to put an old-school FDR style candidate up there. But apparantly the party isn't run that way anymore.
