Id like to see the StuG III added to AH! it has a low sillhouette, good gun and can be very deadly and effected when used right.
the model im asking for is the one with the high velocity 75mm gun.

it was considered the most sucsessful german tank destroyer and HT is working on a new driving system where you can stay in your place and have the tracks move opposite ways so you can quickly attack your targets without having to move forward/backwards because so far all the tanks in AH act like 4 wheel vehicles.

The StuG III Auf G (the "G" was the most numerous variant at over 7700 produced) mounted the same 75mm KwK40 L/48 that the Panzer IV (albeit a different mount, iirc). The gun performance would be no different that AH's Panzer IV.
Other comparisons to the Panzer IV:
Same speed at 25mph; the StuG III carried 54 rounds for the 75mm vs the Panzer's 82 rounds; the StuG III has one less MG than the Panzer IV; frontal armor is the same at 80mm with similar slope.
I hesitate to call it a legit TD since it was designed and use as an assault gun working hand in hand with the infantry. A legit TD is going to be designated as such as have limited HE. Even AH's resident TD really isnt since it has an abundance of HE available when it is debatable that it ever really carry more than 20 rounds of HE. It was always paired with 75mm Shermans with the much faster firing gun and far more effective HE round.
Regardless, I'd like to see it added once the steering is up dated. :aok

Perhaps, however lacking a turret, it is still slow to get on a target. A better option would be M18 Hellcat Tank Destroyer. 76mm gun, 60MPH..also fires H.E rounds 14,000 yards! :O

before you go doing that...did you happen to look at the production numbers and deployment of the howitzer based shermans? perhaps you looked up the same information for the hetzer? maybe?

yes. there was over 100 built.(of the 105). it meets all the requirments to be added to AH, if thats what your wanting to know.

I started working on a new control method for tanks last week. It will be similar to the control system in WoT in that movement will be controlled via aswd from any position.
The new system will account for the different turning abilities of wheeled and tracked vehicles including tanks that could have the tracks turn opposite directions.
Main gun control will be available from the commanders position.
We will also be redoing sights to match the real world counterparts.
I have not played much yet with optic clarity, but I have a few ideas to see how they work.

Please name any battles on the Western European Front where the 105mm Sherman was used as a tank destroyer or engaged other tanks in combat.

the 105mm howitzer on the Sherman was low velocity with an arching trajectory that made it quite unsuitable for anti-tank combat, let alone hit a tank. I wouldn't call the manual traverse on the 105mm Sherman slow, I think "painfully slow" was a more accurate description.
What we see from our little lass Tyrannis is not the wish of a player that wants a tank for the historical value it can bring to the game but rather because he saw 105mm gun and thinks it's going to be uber because well, it's a 105mm howitzer and 105mm is bigger than 75mm.

The StuG was capable of doing what the 105mm Sherman was capable of doing and did it better. Unlike the 105mm Sherman, the StuG was an effective anti-tank vehicle that was just as effective in the assault role. The 105mm Sherman was effective in the assault role, supporting the infantry and providing a mobile artillery platform for armored assaults. It was not effective in the anti-tank role and would be slaughtered if caught in a tank duel, especially if fighting against more than one tank. That is why the 105mm Sherman was protected by other tanks, to help protect it from other tanks.

105 was innacurate as hell too....stug had reloading time, aiming speed and more armor than the 105. give up on your failjack and stop being such a :ahand

if you havent noticed, the post that said the 105mm turret turned painfully slow (i dont remember who said that) it was slower than the StuG III where it had a 30 degree rotation a second and the 105 only had 20 degrees rotation.
like i said, either get out of the thread or i call in the banhammer on ya for failjacking, repeatedly.

I hate to burst your bubble but the 7.5 cm KwK 40 was a better anti-tank gun than the compared to the low velocity 105mm howitzer for the reasons I've already stated. if you can show any verifiable data that says differently, please post it because so far you've failed to post anything to back up your claims. You've also failed to show the 105mm Sherman being used as in the anti-tank role or how it was better in the anti-tank role than the StuG.

mow yards and charge $10 for the whole treatment. alot cheaper than what other ppl charge (Atleast around here). mow 2 yards and you got enough for a month on AH.
theres things you can do to earn money without being in an official job.ask your mom for allowance money. tell her you'll mow the yard for the whole month if she pays for your AH subscription.
just to throw a couple ideas out there.
hmm lets think for a second about that "mow lawns" idea.
its the beggining of spring and nobody has long grass, let alone live grass.
my mom also think that me doing chores shouldnt have to mean me being payed. she thinks that me just helping with the dishes and cleaning up a bit is worth me living in her house.
also nobody wants help from a 14 year old out here because everyone that im surrounded by is a stuck-up snob.

Just an example, that picture of the Me 262 you posted that you stated was the ground attack version of the plane. Just a couple of minutes of research would have shown that to be incorrect but you since you didn't do any, you posted wrong information.
Just like you failed to do any research about this subject beyond reading there was a Sherman tank with a 105mm howitzer cannon. Again, you want this tank not because of any historical value but because for some reason you incorrectly think that this will be some kind of uber tank killer in AH when it won't. The StuG would be a far more effective tank killer in AH, which if had done even the slightest research would have been able to figure out.

its actually from a book i got my information, i'll post the book name, the page number and both paragraphs on the 105mm and the stug III monday when the library is open.

(when i was 15 i got a job stocking the coolers at a sunoco, the law says 16 tho, so he didnt have me down as officially working there. i'd just come in when he called, restock, then he'd pay me at the end of the week).
and ppl are allready mowing up here in ohio. i just had to mow yesterday before this storm hit us. and if you wanted to take my mowing idea i'd jump on it now and start advertising to ppl before all the bigger mowing ppl start.
kinda like the "early bird gets the worm" philosophy.

Sorry, but when a couple of adolescents start arguing about lawn mowing jobs online, I see little reason to not fan the flames. You, otoh, appear to feel some need to offer them a little useful advice. Say I, why bother? These boys will grow up to do whatever they're going to do (which might include passing out in a frozen gutter one night, to never wake) regardless of what any of us do. Enjoy the ride. Actually, they're probably both good kids but the conversation is pretty juvenile, as you've noted.
