Come on guys, What up with the tanks!! This BS! :bhead

So what's the bug?
-
That is BS. I can't even find the climb rate charts for any of the ground vehicles! :furious

ROFLMAO!!! :rofl :lol :rofl :lol

do you know what the max grade rating is for each tank in ah? (maximum grade rating is the steepest angle a tank can traverse in the lowest gear)

ask dr7 i saw him climb a hill then pawn the tanks as they couldn't elevate their turrets that high :rofl.

Done. :headscratch: Well sort of.
Looks like anything beyond 30/35 degrees the tanks don't do so well? Except for the M4
60 degrees. :aok
Also not the difference on cross country speed?
Since we are on grass in most cases should this not be programmed in to the game?
Seems the lighter tanks have a much higher cross country speed. A game changer from my point of view if the lighter armed tanks can out pace their heavier enemies.

lyric, you might want to cross reference with some other sources...that 60 degrees on the sherman should be 60 percent which would be about 32 degrees.

Thank you. Was dragging arse last night when I posted,as slow as the tanks seem to be for climbing hills now??? Maybe they are closer to reality than what we had prior to the changes? Still think the cross country speeds should be looked at rather than the balls to the wall AHII speeds that we have now.
This would give lighter tanks a big advantage for flanking heavy armour.

Half the problem with that is there is no repercussion for ramming a tree, no gullys to get trapped in, no stream beds to slow down for an ford, no boulders to get hung up on, etc etc. Just a few smaller mounds to drive around. I understand the concern with the top speeds being road speeds, but how else could HTC limit the tank speeds? Coding swamps, bogs, gravel, dips, mud, soft dirt, packed dirt, etc etc can only be a major undertaking. HTC has already shown to be hesitant to limit the top speeds and abilities of aircraft via weather conditions and that is easy to do, so adding in ground conditions to limit the speeds of gv's would be even tougher. On the same note, I doubt HTC would put a speed limiter on gv's either. Just a hunch though.

60% is a 31-degree incline (30.9638 if you want to get down to splitting the hairs).

Actualy, given what was possible before the major vehicle update this year (find a hill, stop vehicle at the top, put her in neutral, release the brakes, hold on!), many would argue that he already has and very recently implimented a speed limiter on all GVs.

I found you can climb the steep hills with reverse. Reverse seems to be modeled similar to 1st gear.
