Title: htc police squad
Post by: davidwales on January 26, 2012, 03:37:55 AM
how about my latest idea what if htc allocated 10 loyal players from each side , who have never changed country , in the last 4 years for example , and if a player changes country , for no other reason but gain of perks , they can be fined so many perks , if then continues , the perk fine will be doubled , for that side , if they jump back again before the war is finished , so that jumper will be hit maybe three times , within 1 tour ,the perk police can notify htc and the perk fines can be handed out for improper behaviour  :salute

1st: disturbing homie picture that hurts my eyes. Edit that out lightening fast. Improper behaviour eh?
2nd: who switches sides to get perks, thats possibly switching to the low numbers side. Couse of the better perk bonuses. Couse there is an other way to get perks, not only the war wining.
I can get 15-20 with every single sortie and im just a newbie. With a good perk bonus, make that ~30.
Why to punish those who switch to the low numbers side?
3rd: loyality to a friggen chess piece? how old are you?
lmfao dude youre getting better and better.

Give it a break please David.  The game is what it is and crusades to make it exactly what we want are just doomed to frustrate.

Let people do what they are going to do. I'm not even a fan of the 12 hour rule. In the real world it was full of spies. Think Australian coast watchers up and down islands reporting ship and airplane movements to Allied forces as they saw them. Hard for a Japanese float plane to lift off without someone seeing it. Even in America German espionage was widely known. Not only ships leaving port, not only which Army units on those ships but addresses for the CO, XO, drunk supply sgts that could be bribed, etc. "Loose lips sink ships." This is the nature of war. While most line up like tin soldiers, others sign up for James Bond stuff. Parisian potatos who could list the personal sexual appetites for almost every German General, Colonel, etc. Sheesh!

That translates into our little world of people switching sides. I have zero problem with it. To find a balance I suppose change the "12 Hour" rule to maybe 3 minutes so there is not an instant relay of information, though this does not stop people from simply sending each other PMs with information, which I'm sure happens almost every single raid.

Who cares! Roll with the punches and hit'm in the mouth!

How much more BBS spam are we going to have to see float by, talking about friggin' chesspiece loyalty in a video game? Please give your country-switching paranoia a rest...

You can probably say the same for nearly everyone here, the game isn't what would be my personal idea of what "perfect" is.  Which is probably a good thing, if I were at the reigns and made a game that would be a perfect vision of how I like to play I'd probably be flying around alone in an empty arena.

In essence those compromises in what we see as how things "should" be are likely also the very things that give the game a broad enough appeal that we can all congregate here and in the arenas and bicker about it. :)

Wish granted.  If they acknowledge that there is a league of secret and discrete online moderators, it wouldn't be so secret and discrete, now would it?  (seriously, go ahead, try working your way around the profanity filter in 200 for 15-20 minutes during primetime sometime.... please.  )
