Title: the best fighters
Post by: ink on January 24, 2013, 04:10:45 PM
ok I know some don't like these topics and think it is chest thumping.....(you can call me a chest thumping DA-tard if ya want) ...but a few remarks in another thread got me thinking about it.....I am talking about pure Dog Fighting here.....NOT the ability to stay alive....(which has its own set of skillz)

my list of the best fighters in AH are as follows (not necessarily in any particular order or active.)

again this is MY OPINION from doing NOTHING but fighting in AH since tour 52

Fester- probably the best there is....exceptional in all aspects of fighting
Grizz- all around great flyer....exceptional Aim
Sunsfan- very hard to beat, knows E well....exceptional Aim
Bruv- very good flyer.......exceptional Aim
Redbull- excellent reaction time....great Aim
Krupinski- excellent stall fighter.....great Aim
Bighorn- excellent all around flyer knows all aspects of fighting exceptional Aim
Shane- very good stall fighter....Aim not so good....
Scotch- excellent stall fighter.....
Kappa-  can fly anything and be great in it....excellent Aim,
JOACH1M- very good reaction time, great Aim
Debrody- loves the stall fight..... excels at it
Lazer- all around great flyer......excellent Aim
Nath- great stick..... excellent Aim
JETSOM- excellent SA/merge......mediocre aim(yes I include myself, for I have beaten all these guys..... many of them, more then once:-)

I know there are more but my mind is drawing a blank for more names......when I think of them I will add them.

there are other players that I have heard are great but haven't fought them (or only fought them once)

I haven't been my best in years due to layoffs. Thank you for the nod though.

Batfink is one of the best.

 Hey Ink :)

I agree with your list. lots of good pilots. I always used to get a little worried when a KI entered the fight, but the minute he gave up an advantage I would have a short sigh of relief that I knew it wasn't you haha. I learned to respect many planes I wrongly thought to be inferior due to almost everyone on that list and yourself kicking my ass. Once I get back to where I was ( if ever) I would be down to jump in the DA if I'm allowed to be in a Brewster. Ive killed Bruv and Sunsfan on your list... but was killed about 100 times by them.. soo..  :lol

I will also never forget being in a P47 with complete advantage and YOU, at disadvantage, handing me my butt in your P51..  :salute

I'd put Murdr on there if it isn't maybe even Del too.

good list

Tongs should be on there too I think

and LilMak maybe

hard for me to say as I am distinctly average..and I've probably forgotten some exceptional folks

Dolby is pretty damn good from where I am sitting...so are SQUAT and Junky...and you yourself ink

My list would be very similar, but I wouldn't personally put myself in that list, most if not all of those guys can and do own me.

However off the top of my head.. I would add nrshida, excellent merge/flying style, great at handling that ki slow as well  :aok

Murdr I would put on the list of those I only heard about but never fought.....cuz....I never fought him :D

I would put Dolby in the list of excels in 109....but honestly I find others far harder to beat....definitely not saying he is no good but I have fought him a lot.....
same with LilMak excellent P47 stick....
Tongs is good
SQUAT haven't fought
Junky have to fight him more to see

pfft......trust me....you young whipper snapper you are for sure there......

and Shid is on the list in he excels at the KI84 not sure how well he does in rides other then that...and I actually haven't fought him enough to really gauge his skills....being able to "own" someone is the ability to beat them every time......that is owning....I highly doubt most on that list can "own" you :aok

seems like all these guys r in turny planes. what about E fighters who can also get in close too. arent they worthy? i like lilmak and messiah... but overall i like my CO Zensen, hes a true badass in every plane. but hes not a bbs guy or a 200 guy, so he doesnt attract a lot of attention. silent but deadly, like my feet. i hope not too long from now ill be a force to be reckoned with in the jugM. im progressing fast to the popular guys levels, but theyre are pretty dam good. i know i have my work cut out.

Heh, no duh!   :bhead

I can be a dangerous e-fighter when I want, but turning is more fun.

but yeah... the aiming thing...   :bhead   However, I have a ton of awesome snapshots, so the safest place for my opponent to be is my dead 12 and flying level - I can't hit them!  :bhead

The "best" is much the same as beauty being in the eye of the beholder.  The "best" player is one who can sit in some of the most challenging aircraft and be "successful", whatever that means.

Who is the better hunter? An archer who hunts and stalks his prey for miles and miles working for every inch of cover and concealment, or the rifleman hunkered down in a heated blind elevated 12 feet in the air with a 7mm magnum rifle who waits for the prey to come to within 500 yards?  See my point?

Who is the "best" bomber pilot?  Who can be sent to a small airfield in a Mossi and destroy both ords, the radar, and all 4 fuel tanks consistently?  Who can de-ack a small airfield in 4 passes?  See where I am going with this?

I completely understand wanting to label someone the "best" at something, but it truly is a broad base of opinions.  Should the "best" be able to take a P40C and defeat an average Joe in a Spit16?

I have met so many good fighters I can't even remember all their names.  :(

ArchieD has made me work for my kill every time I fight him
Bruv just knows exactly what I'm doing before I even think of doing it
RedBull always out turns me before I know whats going on
Moron I have not fought a whole lot but he got me 4 times in a row one night
warhed just like Bruv knows what I'm going to do and gets me every time
Krupnski sets those tail slide shots up so well I never stand a chance against him
Fester has thoroughly kicked my butt every time I have crossed his gunsights

Have not gotten to fight ink/JETSOM at all I think, but I know he's one tough opponent

While I am very average (at best), and am quite comfortable with my perpetual mediocrity, let me throw a few out there (past and present) from the AKs who I think deserve mention:

AKDogg - gone from the game but not forgotten...I never flew with him but he killed me often enough in my prior "incarnations"...deadly in the hog.

AKRaven - "I hates him.  I hates the Raven!"  Great guy and damn good pilot...

Throwing in for non-AKer Latrobe. Also Messiah....BnZer he may be but he is deadly, damn his eyes.  :)

Finally...how about Who/Midway?!   :bolt:

*grin* yes...I was kidding about the last one....tho' he isn't bad so its really not me trollin'.  Better then me in a knife fight, I'll admit...but hell just about everyone is so that doesn't count or put him in the league with these guys.

My understanding is he retired from the game.  He did fly FSO a few months back with the AKs...but that was a one time thing.  I personally thank him not for his skill (which was great), but his sound pack.  :)

he's right ink most of those guys werent known for actually fighting, but more like picking, grizz is a good example, great player but most of his kills were just picks.  he was a regular guy at waiting just outside of the base and taking out those low and slow and whine if it was the other way around or flying around in his 262 picking people.  the exception to your list are mtman, 2cmex, shawk and scotch.  agent was a good fighter but an even better fun fighter.  some of those guys I dont remember fighting on a regular basis but the one's I did mention were great.

there's others who are really good cobias is a good example and a couple of other p38 players that I cant remember the name.

he's right ink most of those guys werent known for actually fighting, but more like picking, grizz is a good example, great player but most of his kills were just picks.  he was a regular guy at waiting just outside of the base and taking out those low and slow and whine if it was the other way around or flying around in his 262 picking people.  the exception to your list are mtman, 2cmex, shawk and scotch.  agent was a good fighter but an even better fun fighter.  some of those guys I dont remember fighting on a regular basis but the one's I did mention were great.

there's others who are really good cobias is a good example and a couple of other p38 players that I cant remember the name.

I've fought them all and your opinion doesn't hold water.

INK, DA now!! Ki-84s!

updated list :D

again these are just my opinions taken from fighting the ones I have....some guys who don't fly in the gang in the MA I will probably never come to fight unless its in the DA....

Fester- probably the best there is....exceptional in all aspects of fighting
Grizz- all around great flyer....exceptional Aim
Sunsfan- very hard to beat, knows E well....exceptional Aim
Bruv- very good flyer.......exceptional Aim
Redbull- excellent reaction time....great Aim
Krupinski- excellent stall fighter.....great Aim
Bighorn- excellent all around flyer knows all aspects of fighting exceptional Aim
Shane- very good stall fighter....Aim not so good....
Scotch- excellent stall fighter.....
Kappa-  can fly anything and be great in it....excellent Aim,
JOACH1M- very good reaction time, great Aim
Debrody- loves the stall fight..... excels at it
Lazer- all around great flyer......excellent Aim
Nath- great stick..... excellent Aim
m00t- great stick....master of E....great shot
AKDogg- excellent fighter.....great shot
Batfink- understands ACM very good very fun fight
LYNX-the first top stick I actually got revenge on :t he was a great respectful fighter :salute LYNX wherever you are.
JETSOM- ......mediocre aim(yes I include myself, for I have beaten all these guys..... many of them, more then once:-) in all reality my aim is so bad I don't belong in this list.....but when I am on....... :t besides not many can say they won 7vs1...without BnZing them or vulching... in a straight up fight...... :devil although I have a long way to go before I reach my goal of winning a 20 vs 1......... :rofl

these are other players that I have heard are great but haven't fought them (or only fought them once)

IE
Kazza- fought once in MA, he got me
Mtnman- fought once in MA, I got him
levi- never fought
widewing- :headscratch:
twinboom- fought once that I remember in MA, he got me
Mitzu- only fought him once that I remember in MA, I got him

individual plane

2cmex in the N1k....lots of fights between us....he makes that N1K move awesomely
Olddemon in 51......what can I say..... WOW he knows the 51
AKAK in 38....not many fights against AKAK
Shuffler in 38.....again not many fights against Shuff
Greebo in F6......fought once was happy I got him in his F6
Shida in KI 84......probably my favorite Ki vs KI fights
Agent360 in 109.....he is the reason I became a Muppet
Shawk in F4U.....awesome in his F4U very good at stall fighting that thing
SkyRock in F4U....thought he was a jerk at first...till we went to DA.then he taught me some stuff i was doing wrong  :salute
Irishone in 190.....always tried to out turn my Hurri in his 190...told him it was silly but NEVER gave up and ran, a real fighter
Pervert in 190.......love how he flies the 190....but has no problem ganging ya :neener:
Cobia in A20.....always fun to watch a guy...take a brick.... and make it fly like a graceful bird
LilMak in P47.he is crazy...when he gets into the JUG he thinks its a spitfire..and does a great job at getting it to fly like a spit
Del in P38......not man fights...cant remember any....
Dolby in 109......always fights and is Honor bound... :salute
Lepape in 47....absolutely awesome in it
wingzero in N1k......only had a few fights but would give my hurri a hard time in a turn/stall fight

I have always felt AIM is the most crucial part of dogfighting......I guess in the BnZ roll you would have to have excellent AIM as I am writing this I see even more how all the great ones are excellent shots......

I need to practice my AIM

Grizz and I have fought many many times in the DA....he is one of the best fighters there were.....MA play has no barring in this. :aok

grizz was great in the da and I dont doubt what you are saying, but in the ma the majority of his kills were picks and that is a shame as he sure as hell didnt fight like bunnies.

I would add MIR to the list.

I dont think I have ever beaten MIR in a dogfight. He is one of the few I can say that about (dont take that as me bragging about myself, I have seldom come across many of the "greats" and it seems like I have gotten lucky at least once against all of them, not to mention most of them weren't "dogfights")

Dolby is good too, fly the pants off his 109.

MIR (and everyone in the 80th) is always a fun fight.

Hell I enjoy fighting anyone that will actually fight instead of run and gang. I am always looking for people to fight to try and improve my game. I end up losing more often than not but love fighting anyway. One day I'll get some training and be a semi decent stick.

he fought in the MA......I will say he flew different then I do....for the most part...but I have seen him first hand....many hours flyin with him....

the whole point is what he does in the MA is moot....does not matter..... because he was one that always backed himself up.....in other words...he backed it up by fighting......... not typing how awesome at fighting he is...which he never really said anyways.........

hard for me to say as I am distinctly average..and I've probably forgotten some exceptional folks

Dolby is pretty damn good from where I am sitting...so are SQUAT and Junky...and you yourself ink

I'm no were near the skill level of the guys mentioned. Maybe a few years back but not now.

And did anyone mention Drbone? or sol75? may have just been that i was still very new when sol was around but i thought he was very good. and what about Rogent in his 51 or Jugler in his jug? jugler was an animal in that thing

I will join the leg humping, Luckily I've not been in a 1v1 with TB but have seen him fight from the friendly side and I have yet to see him lose a 1v1. A meeting with pawz is usually a fast pass to the tower. I usually just bail or auger to save him the ammo.

I agree with SkyRock, dedalos was one of the greats. Fought him too many times in the DA and there was very few times that I won in any aircraft.
Dutchie to me was the one that really helped me in TnB and that will always, to me, be one of the greater pilots.

As for me well, I never stayed playing long enough to actually be really good.

I agree for the most part on your list,i would not put AKAK in it just because i never seen him win a fight at co or lower alt like i often run into with shuffler or some other 38 sticks.I put Mntman at the top of my list ,SkyRock seems to out fly me pretty easy ATM.I won a stall fight against scotch the other night in 109's ,so you can add me to your list.... j/k!!  :neener:
(EDIT) After thinking about my AKAK statement i would like to add i have fought him in 1 vs 1 fight about 0 times in the past 4 years ,so i could be very wrong.

agree with most of that except fester,

His streak obsession makes him overly timid and i've killed him several times in 1vs1 situations, so the best there is smacks of a little Muppet bias.  :(

DrBone and pervert deserve to be on that list.   But all fighters know one when they see one and every dog has it's day.

like I was saying to semp....MA flying really does not play a part in how I came up with the list.....

many of the guys on the list I don't agree with how they fly in the MA......(even if the are muppets)..but everyone will back it up....same as you.....

there is no way Fester would not go to DA if someone challenged him.......

I think the one thing that sticks out in my mind in AH is the almost perfect gunnery of a few players.  It seems they do not miss.  I'm know to play the odds in certain maneuvers and allow for a shot in order for the enemy fighter to expose themselves or allow me to set up my next move.  I'll never forget being at the right place at the right time (or so I thought) in a 190D-9 and barreling through a furball at 450mph TAS in hopes of roping one of the slow F4U's  but instead and having this Spit8 who was no doubt very low on E and not in position for a good shot stead up his plane and fire within a mili-second of him stalling out at the top of a loop and getting a nice burst via snap shot on my screaming Dora... from over 500 yards out.  After getting a PW, an oiled engine, an elevator shot off I was able to limp away and land safely. After viewing the film I saw who connected that amazing shot: some bloke named Broove, iirc.  :aok

I film most of my sorties and while I'm no ACM guru I can spot what is coming and do my best to plan ahead 1-2 moves, it is my gunnery that seems to hang me up.  I've missed some easy shots and once in a great while I will land hits on something seemingly impossible.

thinking at short notice Top 3 1v1 from a few squads;

Spek, Jo, Bone

Bruv, Perv, Kaz

Some people have given me a good kicking in the DA, but thier names elude me at the moment.

I consider someone a good fighter when they put up a tough fight, allied or enemy, regardless of what they are driving... air, sea, or land... with no regard as to whether I like them or not...

Moving around a bit here recently, I have had the opportunity to fly with some of them that I had previously only flown against. It's amazing how many players are really fun, good people... it's even more amazing how many of them absolutely loathe each other even though if they simply flew the same side/squad they'd probably be best friends.

A lot of these guys aren't forum potatos or loud mouths... some of them don't even tune 200 (the horror!), but they are the memorable pilots/drivers (that my ADD brain can currently conjure anyway)

So my list:

kvuo75 - unreal in a 37mm
BushLT - really good in an F6F
OddCAF - all around sea/air/land buttkicker
Pand - No better P-51B pilot out there, may be as good as 999000 in 17s
Tazz69 - If I had to pick a swiss army knife co-pilot/driver/gunner, he'd be my guy
Shadow - GREAT pilot
JETSOM - Absolute terror in a Ki-84
Cobia38 - A-20 King
Havoc - A-20 king
sc0tch - beats my bellybutton in whatever
Krupnski - Tater conservationist - fun DA fights (when I don't hit a tree/ground trying to stay as slow as he can stay)
Redbull - K4 King
who (hey, he's a lot better than me anyway - and when he doesn't HOmerge, it's a fun fight)
SQUAT - No better ally, no worse enemy (on 200 anyway) and a great stick
999000 - Amazing gunnery skills
DragonH5 (I think that is his name, haven't seen him in awhile) - One of the best buff killers I have run into
Triton28 - Great pilot
LilMak - P-47 King
IraqVet - Lives in GVs, causes much hate and discontent
AKPepprr - Great TnB pilot, Squeaker
AKFulcrm - Great stick
Doc72CH - Smart tactician, great bomber pilot
Zaphod - Great dogfighter, attacker, etc
Bruv119 - Amazing pilot all the way around, unreal accuracy
Toougly - Great flight lead, Whatever the job is, gets it done
Edmo - Awesome flight lead, whatever needs done he does
A8Prowlr - One of the best leaders in the game
ET37 - Was collecting social security before Redbull was born, still kicking tulips nightly <S>
DHawk - A more prolific base snagger there is not
Swoops - Best Kiwi Pilot in the game (just kidding Coombz, he's really an Aussie)
Changeup - Excellent pilot, the gold standard in sh*t disturbance and causer of hate and discontent
Zoney - Excellent buff killer
Snailman - Excellent buff killer, fount of knowledge
Magoo - Best wing leader I have had the pleasure to fly with
Paladin3 - Probably the guy I'd want with me if I really had to go to war (Quote: <NAME OMITTED>, TRAINING ARENA. NOW.)
Twinboom - Always feel better when I see him upping with me at a capped field - Amazing stick
Dolby - not JUST an awesome 109 pilot
vinkman - great fighter
latrobe - great fighter, one of my votes for best sportsman
nrshida - the most zen pilot in AH
nishizwa - possibly the most underrated pilot in the game (hint: dump girlfriend, quite job, fly moar!)
Dodger - Embarrasses me even when he's in a far inferior plane

Sure only a few would win (or have won) a KOTH, or pwnd every plane in the canyon, but these are some of the people that it would (to me at least) be a lesser game without.

 :salute

I agree for the most part on your list,i would not put AKAK in it just because i never seen him win a fight at co or lower alt like i often run into with shuffler or some other 38 sticks.I put Mntman at the top of my list ,SkyRock seems to out fly me pretty easy ATM.I won a stall fight against scotch the other night in 109's ,so you can add me to your list.... j/k!!  :neener:
(EDIT) After thinking about my AKAK statement i would like to add i have fought him in 1 vs 1 fight about 0 times in the past 4 years ,so i could be very wrong.

Sorry but I disagree.  ACK was at 2K and I was on the deck in a Zeke and the fight lasted 3 mins.  My Zeke was missing an elevator and the starboard aileron but we all know that doesn't remove it's turning advantage on a 38.   No BnZ at all.  He turned it on the deck ...... And he wasn't around when I got beat up so he had no idea I wasn't in one piece

He flies it just fine.  He just prefers to fly the plane to its advantages.  I have no issue with that because he fights.

There are a lot of good pilots that only fly in the DA you guys should stop in and give them a try.  you my find some sleepers because all we do is stall fight when dueling.

Really? Because every single time I go to DA lake it's the same thing. Spit16s, Brewsters, FU4-4s and Tempests diving in from 10K above me. Spraying lead and zooming back up. If I happen to slow a guy down enough to get him in a fight, another clown will zoom in at hyper sonic speed and get me or the guy I'm fighting.

Well I shouldn't say every single time I go in there. The breakfast club guys are fun to fly with. But once the numbers start growning you can forget about a good fight. It's shoot whatever moves as fast as you can, anyway you can.

Maybe you're not heading to the DA enough. If you spend at least a week in there without heading to the LWA you'll find that a lot of good people put up decent fights in there. DBCooper and Weiser, to name a few, put up a hell of a fight if you ever run into them.

That's when you gotta learn how to fly with your horde against the enemy horde. When the two main sides hit each other in the middle of the lake the shiz hits the fan pretty quick and if you stumble too far in, you get ganged and picked and HO'd like crazy. If you can manage to keep it right in the middle then you should be safe.

What are you doing in the Philippines?

Initially was to travel around the visayas on a motorbike for six months. Ended up staying much longer, set up a boxing gym for locals and couple other businesses, bought some property.

Now back in NZ and Aus for few months before going back.

Might even have time to dust off the yak in couple weeks.

I'm not interested in flying in a hoard, against a hoard. I can go to the MA for that. I go to the DA to practice, develop and refine my ACM. Ganging, HOing and picking is exactly what I want to avoid.

I have to agree with uptown on this.  I have been popping in the DA every now and then with the plan to fly at 2k in order to push the spit 14 to its limits without having to fritter away my perk points, however generally the above happened and limited what i could take away from my DA experience.

As long as you stay out of the "Furballing" area, then the DA is perfect for that. But if you go to the lake, then you are not looking for 1v1 action.

Ya, I no what you are saying.  I guess my point is that, the gang is what the lake is there for.  So saying that once the "Stupidity" gets there you are out, doesn't make sense, IMO.  The "stupidity" is what the lake is sectioned off in that arena, and labeled "Fuballing", for.  HTC did that for a reason, realizing there is a significant amount of their subscribers who actually prefer that "stupidity".

That not what you do, the lake is only one part of the DA for SA and furballing. All you have to do is come in an ask who wants to duel. Go to a privet field and duel that's it. It is easier to come to the DA aka (Dueling arena) and look for a duel than it is in the MA, make sense?

The only reason i see people looking for a 1 on 1 in the DA lake is that they have alt and look for a guy to fight thats lower and think that is a duel. I see it all the time and have to bleed them and kill them witch a good pilot can do. Its a waste of time to duel this way. Go to a field pick merge rules and same plane and you can get many duels in and have a blast. This is the only way to see who is who. If i get someone that's not as skilled i will than get a harder plane to fly duel them and practice my skills in that and making the fight more even. so no matter what skill levels the pilots have you can make it up with plane on plane change. (btw) dueling this way means fighting not merging and then zooming up to start B and Z tactics unless agreed by both party's

furball lake in the da would be cool if the gangers could find the decency to not be the 4th or 5th one in. none of them say to themselves, " hey that red has 3 guys on him, ill go find something else".  just seems like they could have some discretion in that way. i also understand not getting 3 behind me, so i bnz when im there. thats when the regulars get pissy bc youre not lettin them turn fight your jug vs their brew. seems like its ok to gang, but not ok to bnz. as long as you fly the way they want, everythings good. i can see how the da would be kick bellybutton tho.

I know who the best are, but I think they would quite rightly cringe if I mentioned them. Being a 'name' in Aces High and being the best are 2 different things, one requires you to be a decent stick and cultivate an image amongst the community ,the other requires 1000s of hours of practice ego and reality checks and learning and not worrying about an image.

I go to furball lake before my tournament fights to warm up in whatever the first plane is that I'll have to fly.

Before I fought batfinkv in Spit I's I managed three kills, ran out of ammo and avoided death for another 10 minutes at furball lake.  I had a great time.  Better yet I beat batfinkv in that first duel but only because he got into the dreaded inverted stall and I swooped in and finished him off.

say what?! I BnZed your 38? How the hell did I do that when you were a good 4K above me. Your reality leaves something to be desired. And the fight sucked . Here's the film http://www.mediafire.com/?51do1yh80ny01uh

Not once in that fight was I above you. I don't know who you are...never heard of you, but you're mistaken. I normally don't fly that high in there but on the sortie where you engaged me, I was looking for jimmy777 as he picked me 3 times in a row. As for the lake there are good guys, sticks and fights but at least three new pissants every night.  They like to talk talk talk....(although not as good as Changeup)so take the good with the bad and have fun

Wow....I didn't get you a present :D

Ya know I've heard a lot about BigHorn. Skyrock told me he was propbably about the best the is/was. I often wonder when I find myself overwhelmed at the lake, what would he do in this situation.  :lol

Because I have no answers when it comes to fighting 2 spixteens and a handful of -4s at once.

Thats because to get the most out of the lake its about teamwork. I tend to fly alone alot and still have a good time, but expect to get "team-worked". There are many other fields to go 1 on 1.

He probably would have died and re-upped.....like everyone else does at the lake.....and doesn't complain about it......

Without posting the PM, Levi agreed with Bighorn as a/the selection.  Skyrock has flown against all these guys simply do to his tenure so I would go with that.  I've only flown against BigHorn once and it was an instructional setting....but he played with me....literally toyed.  I could feel it by the simple ease he had of correcting purposeful errors he made.  Superlative is the word I'd use for what I saw.

Others die by making mistakes....the best can fix those errors in-flight and still beat you decisively.

Films to follow. http://www.mediafire.com/?c36u9vh358ng7tu <---190D runs until he sees friends, then ties me up so they can get there to gang. 1 spit, 3 F4U-4s and the Dora. This is what I mean about stupidity. I have the film of the fight before that one. I was in a 109G6 squaring up on a Spixteen and ended up with 2 -4s and a 110 on me
Maybe this type of thing is why you joined a DA squad IKO?  :lol go land your DA kills you earned them
Its a shame you don't have the film on 30 sec before like i did. you started the film after you buzzed me and dove down than started it. I have film on 2ndnd merge u did and we was co alt on the start of mine. If u want i can post it also. Thought it was a good fight for the alt we was at but i guess if u don't win that's a bad one? all i said was good fight and next time your in just ask for duel that's all and you don't have to deal with pond.

Bud I don't know who you are but you're a damned liar! Post your film...post it. I was in a 109G6 before. Post your film or stfu. Also, I see where you said you DID have the film...why would you delete it or not show it? Is that because it would show you were in F3 mode as I suspect? So if you don't produce your film I'll have no other choice except to believe that not only are you a straight up liar, you're also a gamey F3 boi as well. So show your film........please.

I don't fear many in this game, but BigHorn is the best I've flown against on any sort of regular basis.  Our 1a vs 109G2 fights are always much fun.  I miss those fights :aok.  The 10minute rolling scissors in 1a's, back with Lengro was a lot of fun too, albeit wore both of us out  :lol.

Again the fight started 2 min before filming and had been past at least 1 time maybe 2 before filming. Look i am in there all the time and was just saying that in the lake they are not always like duels. if you see my other post people always come in with alt and want advantage 1st and say its a duel. read my other post that you agreed on.

Film was posted because he keep calling me out on it and posted 1 that was after he dove down 5k under me and i looped. Had no reason to post it other wise. He did not have to say nasty things like F3 mode and DA squad. I am not the greatest but I go as far back from 96 with Kappa and levi then before he even used that name and many others that will know this name i have had sense then. Was iKoX for a short time when we had a squad with iCuX, FiLtHx and WoLfX

iKo is all about the fight. He wont lie to make himself look better. He'd prefer to die 10 times in a good fight, than to win a lousy fight. If he said something happened in the game, I'd believe him.

ya I am not questioning him on what happened.....but when you post a film it should back up what you say.....2 minutes in a fight is a long time to be missing...so it just don't show what happened.....so therefor it is not proof of anything.

Your film does not support your position in this argument but supports my POV. I don't know what else to say on the matter. Yes, it's unrealistic to expect a 1vs1 at the lake..I know that. But the fact you said I BnZed you is totally incorrect from where I was sitting.

Either way I'll take what Filth said to heart and apologize for my rude remarks and will accept your assessment of what happened. Lord knows I've been wrong before. I don't always go to the DA lake with the best attitude and most times leave with a worst one.  One thing is for sure though...the lake game just isn't for me. I don't like it, never have and never will.  :salute

Agree on both fronts there. Lengro is a great friend, we dueled countless times both improving together under the cruel punishment of the grand master bighorn. Another great friend to have. I would mention Lengro more often but he would slap me in the head for bringing attenton to him. I miss both of them.

The community selection is beginning to narrow...its appearing Bighorn is leading by a nose at this point.  So, to seek his counsel is to improve, yes?

I have fought bighorn only a few times....that I know of. (He is always changing names)

But I notice that he is really patient in the rolling scissors. It seems like he lags just a little bit behind and waits for the one mistake and then makes you pay for it.

The expertise to finely control speed enough to give oneself that kind of advantage, at will, is beyond my comprehension.  But to do against the best players and win is elite.

It's funny that the best sticks you run across seem to be so much smoother than you are.   :headscratch:

When I die to one of those guys, usually in two or three turns, I think to myself, "Ahh haa... I'm not being smooth enough!"  :old:

Then I proceed to smoothing my way to the tower again because I was being a passive ninny who hardly moved the stick.   :(

This is the state of confusion in which I live.   :frown:

The smoother you are the more E you will save.

True enough.  But then film reveals dude dumped more E than I thought, turned inside of me on the second merge and the rest was just me flopping like a fish.

I think the smoothness with which some fly really hides their E state well.  I'm not the best judge of E anyway, but when it comes to some, I may as well just be pulling a number out of a hat.

From the few fights we've had (as brief as they were), I'd say you're much smoother in your imputs than the average guy.  At least it looked that way to me.

I don't know who are the best fighter. It could not be fair for all the best sticks. For exemple, Let's think that I've never ever fought a Rook yet, so maybe some "best fighters" could be there. There are several reasons not to mention the best fighter, as "fighting" has a lot of corners.

Anyway, the ones that truly always leave awesome impression on me are:

Greebo: because he can manage a not uber plane in the most difficult situations in a very successful way. In the situations he puts himself, he always dies (if he does) from a cheap kill.....He's never complained as far as I know So, He has both aptitude an attitude.

Latrobe: Same as greebo

Shane: I've known him since AW days. He has been always so tough to beat....I can't even recal that I have shot him once for so long.....

Debrody: He knows how to fight every plane he wants up to "110%" of their capability.

I've had some foughts against other sticks who they really dazzled me. But I'm not going to mention them because I just came across them maybe once or twice
