You rubbed the magic lantern and the Gennie granted you the wish to be HTC top dog for a few minutes. Your only task you can accomplish in that short of time is arrange the top ten list below in the order of HTC working priority. Magically too, the fixes and updates would be an exact match to how you would do it.
How would you rank them by priority?
1. New graphics engine
2. New planes, vehicles and boats
3. Update Older, planes, vehicles and boats
4. New Maps and fixed older maps
5. Add new features like trains, submarines and conveys
6. Fix ENY system or replace

A husband and a wife enter a vacant building and accidentally flip over a lantern. A puff of dust blows out and they see a man sitting in the corner.
Wife: Are you the genie of the lamp?
The genie looks slightly surprised, looks around and finally admits he is one.
Wife now slightly excited: Will we get our three wishes??
The genie says there is three wishes, two to yourself and one that he keeps himself.

The couple looks at eachothers, waiting. The genie talks again:
Listen, I have been in my bottle for thousands of years and for I should make your wishes true I only wish one thing: to have sex with your wife.
The couple thinks briefly before finding the request acceptable. The genie goes to the back room with the wife and after a lustful 30 minutes they both return.
The genie lights a cigarette and asks: So, when was it again when you started believing in this genie stuff? :ahand

6 - Only fix ENY needs is to add another trigger for high arena population. One side having 40 more players and no ENY needs to be addressed.

I just wonder if consolidating the EW & MW arenas would help here.. or maybe discard them all together.. just a thought..
put fighter fuel burn rates @ 1.0 .. this might promote more high alt fighting.. Buffs & GV's have plenty of fuel..
make one big download for the 'approved skins' from the website with an installer..
an inactivity timer.. after a certain amount of time with no input, (mouse,text,controller).. you're booted..
all planes/GV's available @ all times .. unless that hangar is down @ that field..
make offline missions downloadable if connected to the internet while in the offline arena..
the .SR menu or any roster should have the right click options.. just like the main roster.. even the ability to right click a friendly on the clipboard map & 'go to / join / etc.'..
thats about it for me.. <S>

2- New AC - I want 'em all and a G-10 would be a great start. Please include the Whirlwind, Beau, Battle, Barracuda, Skua, Roc, Raiden, Defiant, Vengeance, Vindicator, Blenheim, Meteor, Firefly, Ki-100, Pe-2, Migs 1,3, Hs129, HE177, Do217, Ju-388,He112, Do-17, P-63, all the Reggianes, SM79, CR42, N1K1, etc.
I'd also like it if people could post porn and obscenities on this bbs, please. In fact, I think it would be good if Skuzzy suspended people whose language and post aren't sufficiently "colorful". Indeed, can't we extend this wish to Prime Time television, such that every other word is a fun compound word, every image some sort of gooey body part? They could get that inflatable apple dude to host a talk show (you know the guy - he's got a football nipple implanted on Honore de Balzac and he inflates it for the San Francisco parades).
Sorry for that, but I just watched an E-4 show last night on dogging. I had no idea that the UK was so full of pervs. They all look so normal here in Dunton.

10. Creation and prominent posting of a comprehensive training manual. I found my old printed-out copy of "How to Fly and Fight in Air Warrior" the other day. We don't have anything like it. If you read the Help download, search the BBS, search the Trainer web site[s?], the aircraft performance web sites, and who knows where else, I'm sure you can find all the information. But this is one circumstance where easy is good. I believe we would retain more visitors if a good, basic and easy-to-understand manual were readily available.

If you read the Help download, search the BBS, search the Trainer web site[s?], the aircraft performance web sites, and who knows where else, I'm sure you can find all the information. But this is one circumstance where easy is good. I believe we would retain more visitors if a good, basic and easy-to-understand manual were readily available.

3. Create a training program for new users by either reintroducing offline mode with bots or mandatory training sessions with a hired trainer for the 2 weekers.
4. Make all perk planes free for the 2 weekers. They need all the crutches they can.
5. Create a player reward system for players who want to take a noob 'under their wing'. Enable players to register a veteran player to be the mentor of a new account (I did that a lot for free by the way) and give the veteran player a week or two free game time for each new player that sticks with the game for longer than a month and gives a good rating to the mentor. New players benefit enormously from the experience of old players and can turn from cannon fodder to kill landing players in a week or two.
And we all know that a noob that can score even 1 kill per day is a much happier noob than the one who gets blown away 10 sorties out of 10.
For example one time I killed a specific noob repeatedly. He got angry. We went to DA to deck it out. I continued to kill him - but I felt pity for him because he was falling for the very basic mistakes. I suggested to him during the DA battle that I could teach him basics of the game - he agreed and we became online friends. He later became a member of the AH training corps.
A player can make a difference.

Good story, Rip, and a good deed... I too was taken under wing early and it really helped me out. I don't have the time to devote to this that would enable me to scale the mountain of staff hood, but I do enjoy most of my sorties and always feel I have a fighting chance. I've even scored kills on some of the bigs, here and there.
That said, you got me to thinking, a little. The training arena is pretty empty, most of the time. However, what if we used, much like, for example, the Usta, a rating system here. At the beginning, the noob would self rate, based on a number of published criteria. Default would be a zero rating. Zero- rated players could play at all levels or in the open arena. All other rating levels could play up but never down, similarly. The lower couple of levels could utilize the TA's time as the TA does now, only it'd be, in all other respects, a full-on combat arena.
As for the ratings metric(s): how about k/d at level? Of course, this would have to be over some critical mass of sorties.
The only real problem with this: not enough players. Right now, probably everyone would spend all their time in the open arena. Of course, you could restrict play to "at level" play, thus giving incentive to move up to open level...
The rating level would, of course, be the topic of much bragging and argumentation - not a bad thing necessarily.
