the way i heard it. he couldnt run. the trust fund was from a car accident he was in. the lawyer wouldnt let him get the operation he needed to fix the pain he was in because if the trust was paid out in medical fees the lawyer couldnt keep milking the trust for his fees. thats why the guy went postal on his butt.

Sad but true fact out of this is the anti-gun zealots will use this as another example of why we need more gun laws. They will conviently ignore the fact that the shooter was already breaking more than a couple laws, why they think anymore laws would have prevented this incident is beyond me.

I can just imagine the shooter thinking just before he was going to pull out his gun "oh no, I better not shoot him, I will be breaking that new gun law", or "I better not pull out my gun and shoot him, I will now be breaking six laws, not just five".

If someone is going to try to kill someone he will find a way to do it regardless of the laws.

In this case, the shooter would've probably been more dangerous if he had a knife instead of a gun..

If this is true, I have a feeling the shooter just might end up sueing the attorney for breach of trust and malfeasance; after the attempted manslaughter charge is addressed at trial. It will be interesting to see if the defense attorney at the criminal trial brings this information to light as a motive for the shooting, to try and mitigate the offensiveness of the crime and go for a lighter sentence.

Or ran his lawyer over with his car in the parking lot. That certainly happens enough.

Dont know which dictionary you used, but mine says

"Etymology: alteration of earlier diego, from Diego, a common Spanish given name
Date: 1832
a person of Italian or Spanish birth or descent"

I'll give you the short and sad story of the handle:

Years ago when I signed up for Warbirds, somewhere in the early versions (1995?), before 1.0, I needed a 4 letter handle. Hadn't prepared for that, needed to come up with one quick while setting up my account, and Dago came to mind (**** also camed to mind, but figured I might regret that one). My best friend in high school (years ago) was an Italian kid who called himself "dago", and even had a custom plate on the front of his car with that printed on it. So, lacking any better idea at the moment, I used it to get the account going. Never got around to taking a differant one, and since alot of people know me by that handle, I just stuck with it. I know that calling an Italian a "dago" is considered derogatory in our culture, but like many handles, calling yourself that handle I dont see as an insult to others, just a little joke or jab at yourself.

Many times people have tried to insult me and my "Italian heritage" (wop jokes etc) since. I have found that amusing since I have zero Italian blood in me, (no Spanish either).
I am a blond haired, fair skinned American of half English, half Irish descent. (well armed too)

lol, same here. I remember sitting there in 1996 registering for Warbirds, and being surprised by the four letter callsign. I mentally fumbled around for a couple minutes before I picked the last name of one of my favorite composer(Bax).
