I have been flyin AH since AHI.... and have always heard the old AW pilots talk about the fun they had w/ the "death stars" i think we need to enable this option in the game.. i'm sure it has been brought up on many occasions...i'm just wonderin.... why we don't have this capability yet..... i Mean.. aren't we payin the bills here..... tell me what ya think!

The technical limitations have been described by HiTech before. It isn't happening for those reasons and the "it is fondly remembered, but was actually used less than 1% of the time" reason.

On the odd chance that this is NOT a troll:

It's gone. So is the supernatural "HO-sheild".... This is not AW, and thankfully so!

With that in mind, you get all guns on 3 planes (30+ guns) all firing at your target. You can shred planes with single bursts from many different angles and ranges. You fly much faster than bombers flew historically, making it very hard for anybody to attack you without falling behind into a "sitting duck" position (rear 6 oclock).

It was and is "gamey" and we have plenty of that in AH now no need to add further abilities to turn AH into "Quake".

AW didnot have manable ack, formation buffs, and many other features that AH does.

But considering connection problems experienced in the game now, a death star could be a frame rate killer or warp drive enabler. Server and a half dozen client machines trying to represent the B-17(s) correctly while in heavy traffic.

I do fondly remember the death stars. Flying into the middle of a furball dogfighting in a B-17 with six gunners blazing was fun even if you did get shot down most flights.

As a trade off I guess I prefer being able to man my own guns and have my drones slaved to me but if we could somehow have both...

Glad to see the response is so positive towards the "death star".... sorry this was my first post took me so long to get good at killen you suckers i dindn't have time for the BB. lol good huntin and lets get the 1%ers a Death Star... got dang it!!!
