I do have a couple of bones to pick with PJ though.

1. Faramir is SUPPOSED to represent the good in mankind. Showing him capturing frodo and taking him to Osgiliath was STUPID!!!! Remember he does help Eowyn forget Aragorn later on. He should be a pretty good guy.

2. WTF is this crap about Arwen going off to the Grey Havens? Huh???? Paaleeez!

About to watch it again ...

When I saw Two Towers at the theater, it blew me away. MUCH more spectacular than the first movie. And much less boring IMO too.

Rip when you get the chance to see this movie in the theater .. do it! Even a projection screen and surround sound can't do it justice...

I thought the movies were great. Just watched Two Towers again last night.

Although I like Dennis L McKiernan's Iron Tower trilogy better.

If he had Tom Bonbodli or whatever woulda taken up half the movie ..... proably a good choice that PJ left that out

Actually, his writing is considered quite literary. It doesn't invoke the sentiment given to Stienbeck, Hemmingway, or Twain because of the fantasy theme, thus the idea that it was intended for children but his writing is well regarded.

I gotta question about the movie - what is Smeagol talking about at the end when he's talking to himself about killing the hobbits, he says, "We could let her do it" "Yes she could kill them". Or something like that - Will "she" be something revealed in the third film, or is it already known who "she" is and I missed the explanation?

"She" is key to the story I heard, so yes, "she" will make an appearance. So, do you want a spoiler?

I saw it for the second time on Wed. I liked a lot more than I did the first time I saw it in the theater. The differences from the book were a lot less jarring, I suspect because I knew they were there. Still, they didn't seem to take up nearly as much of the movie as I recalled.

I enjoyed it. Oh, Gollum definately speaks in an odd voice, but it is understandable.

The Two Towers is supposed to be the biggest deviation from the books. They say The Return of the King is going to be the best of the three, We shall see in Dec.
