Thanks for straightening that out, Bodhi.   Talk about a complete screwup, then.   What a shame.

well.. they did run over propane tanks and fuel tanks but the real reason that it blew was a fuel air explossion started with incenerary rounds...

They also kept the fire dept away till the fire was good and out of control.

The documentary shows guys fireing automatic weapons at a group of about 16 who were trying to get out of the inferno.  They were riddled with bullets.

or maybe not...

Quote
In August, 1999, documents were uncovered which indicated that during the raid on the Branch Davidian compound, the FBI used a limited number of flammable tear gas canisters. This revelation contradicted assertions of the FBI and the Department of Justice that the government had done nothing that could have contributed to the start or spread of the fire. In response, Attorney General Janet Reno appointed a special counsel, former Republican senator John C. Danforth, to reexamine the assault to determine how the fire started and whether there was a cover-up of information implicating law enforcement officials or the Justice Department.
On July 21, 2000, after a 10 month investigation, Danforth issued a preliminary report exonerating the government and its agents. His report concluded that federal agents did not start the fire, direct gunfire at the complex, or improperly employ US armed forces. Danforth assigned responsibility for the tragedy to the Branch Davidians and David Koresh. According to the report, they contributed to the tragedy by refusing to exit the compound during the 51 day standoff, directing gunfire at FBI agents, shooting members of the compound, and ultimately setting the fire that burned the compound down.

Danforth did find, however, that an FBI agent fired three pyrotechnic tear gas rounds at a concrete pit 75 feet from the living quarters of the compound. Although these rounds did not start the fire, government officials did not admit their use until August 1999, more than six years later. Danforth found that this negligence was at best a mishandling of evidence, and at worst a criminal attempt to conceal the truth from investigators.

His complete failure to deal with the terroist Osama Bin Laden and the subsequent attack against America just after he left office.

It's quite the wonder that man can sleep at night.  I am sure it is not hard, on $1000.00 sheets that were paid for in blood by 3030 killed on Sept 11, especially for a man that lies in court.

Thats lame that you blame the prior president while excluding the sitting president.

Hmmm Got a poll? cause there are several that show America feels we have been bs'ed into this war.

Personally that doesnt matter, I was for it before and for it now. I just think the way we are fighting is not the way to win. We need more troops.

2 words. Total war.

We are in the opening stages to a much larger engagement of the exact same type. And we are losing military credibility by not winning decisivly. Its time to draft and rock the middle east. Otherwise China is gonna realize how  vulnerable Taiwan is.

The Branch Davidians taught us all a valuable lesson--

If you're going to build a fort, don't build it out of wood.

I'm not even gonna ask where you wanna take troops out of  to help Taiwan or North Korea in the event of a war, cause we don't have them. Iran, Syria... Sorry, Bush is tough, but he is tough about stuff that doesnt matter and letting us all down on issues of National and International Security.

MT.. if you care about what happened... watch the documentary.... much of it is the senate investigation.  It is pretty hard to reconcile what the senate is finding with what is happening in some of the videos...  If you really want to know what happend all you have to do is watch and draw your own conclussions.

How was the sitting president to blame for Clinton's failure to take Bin Laden when he had the chance?
