Ah, ok.  I've just never seen it on a Z but it seems like half of the RS cars have it, so I thought it wasn't available for the Z.

Yeah, I didn't like the "aero" package on those RS's but this one has the ridiculous "chin" spoiler deleted from the front.  I don't know how many RS's I saw with the chin spoiler broke and hanging in at least 2 places.

I've never really owned any "overly powerful" cars aside from an 87' 5.0L Mustang. I've had some friends who have though. Some of the "rice rockets" can be just as scary to be in/drive as some of the hardcore American muscle.

Had a few friends who did the B16 header swap on their Civics, and one on a Del Sol which was absolutely dastardly.

Knew 2 guys with a Nissan 240 who did the SR20DET Japanese engine swap. Both of those would pull the "take the $20 off the dashboard and you can have it" deal no problem. One had a front mounted intercooler and you could clearly tell it had work done. The other had stock wheels, stock everything except the engine and a few minor mods (exhaust, battery relocation, etc.) BUT I don't know the exact term for it, but his intercooler was mounted at about a 45 degree angle to the engine block, it was higher up and you couldn't even see it. Besides that the speedo' didn't work while I was with him, but with 3 people in the car, he spanked numerous well decked muscle/foreign cars with NOS and without.

Had a friend with a stage 3 turbo'd VW GTI that would keep you pinned to the seat on minor acceleration in the parking lot of an apartment complex.

One of my friends who is more "in the money" had a Grand National...that was scary enough. But the car he had that he always swore scared him the most was one of the 2002-2003 Limited Edition Mustang SVT Cobra's, the ones that actually had the engine block engraved. Look at that car wrong and the back end of it went nuts on you. He went up to a Chevelle from that car.

Most fun car I've ever been in is a Honda s2000 with a stage 3 supercharger going down the grade in the mountains of Upstate SC/Lower NC. I've seen cars that will go like stink, but this thing took the cake.

Subaru STI's with a little work can be amazingly fun in the snow as well (except the new ones, and some of the not-so-new ones are ugly as sin)

I realize this post may be dumb (as I'm not a big car guy) but I spent the time typing it, may as well post it.

wow this is an old thread, haha. Im still waiting for the Camaro. Almost have my rents, gparents, and uncle ready to help, plus the money i have saved already. Ive got my heart set on a black 1SS RS with the LS3 since its the one with the 6 speed manual

I saw that the target date for release is March 9th of next year...assuming GM is still in business by then.

..an L-88 *anything* or old school 426 Hemi powered *anything*
..or even any average Rat Motor in *anything* ..etc.

I know I know .. turbo this or that 4 banger can see over 200hp ..
..some have even gone over 500hp with a ton of money thrown at them.
Guess what a Hemi will do with a turbo an nitrous.

A 'stock' 426 Hemi *starts* with right at 600hp with cast iron manifolds an all.
An L-88 'stock' is about 50hp less .. right out of the box.

I know I know .. they were 'rated' at 425 and such ..LOL .. at 4200rpm.
Neither peaked hp until 6k rpm or so.. and a decent set of headers would boost both motors substantially.

When you get all done moddin the crap out of a Civic-Subaru-any 4-banger car- ..
..it's still a Civic, etc.

You know you can get one of these for less than a new Civic right?


330hp 'stock' and already runs 13's.

Guess what turbos and nitrous does to that?
