we drop troops and bail with them in order to make the base stop flashing

i could be wrong here, but to the best of my knowledge, the base will continue to flash, as long as some form of enemy is within it's dar ring. you bail, you're an enemy pile-it within the ring....it should continue to flash.

I'm pretty sure CAP is right here - pilots in chutes or on the ground will still make a base flash :headscratch:

well the chutes, ground, base and flashing are all virtual too ... I dont get it :headscratch:

They won't. Once you bailed, you do not trigger base alarm anymore. Only planes, vehicles, boats trigger the alarm, players in chutes, walking around or sitting in guns (CV) do not.

I remember htc made it this way on purpose years ago, because it was getting quite tedious when some arse would bail out and just sit in the forest somewhere, and the base would blink for hours with essentially no way to stop it.

 that's why i thought it was that way....back when i used to fly with the hired guns, we were pretty dam good at taking bases.......and we used that tactic sometimes.

Sooo....as long as the goon driver (the others don't really matter, I suppose) doesn't DIE or END, he can bail after dumping troops with no harm to outcome? Seems dweeby, but..ok

He can die or END with no harm to his troops - as long as he does not reup. The downside to this tactic: You do not get credit for the capture
