ALERT! ALERT! The BS meter is in the red! She's gonna blow!

Sorry BGBMAW but you and I both know you've never been in combat, much less blown anybody away.

Who was that "sniper" dude last week that talked about his "undercover Ops" in Central America? Maybe you two could hook up and form a WW2OL squad called the "War Heroes"- only let people in who claim they have combat kills. Your leader will be the guy who claims the most kills- I imagine he'll be a 13 year old eighth grader with a better imagination than you guys have.

Toadherz - I don't pariculary find WW2 gun cam footage palatable either. When I think of the poor bastard in the crosshairs any 'interest' soon subsides.

Oh yeah, don't try and second guess what my opinions might be in future. You are invariably wrong. Fancy that!
War! Never been so much fun. War! Never been so much fun! Go to your brother, Kill him with your gun, Leave him lying in his uniform, Dying in the sun.

Your DD-214 will only say what schools you went to, all your duty stations and what awards you got. It's like a resume, Bubba- it says where you were, not what you did...

I'm not denegrating your service; in fact I commend you for it. However, I'm old and have lots of life experience, and I've heard all the war stories before about how much of a "kick" it is to be in combat, shooting at people, and  only a sociopath could enjoy that.

Frankly MrBlack I don't give a rat's bellybutton what you did in the Service- but when you come in here like BigBMAW and you do, talking about how much fun it is to chop up baddies with 30MM cannons or a sniper rifle, I call BS. There's nothing fun in war, even for the Generals.

Never said It was fun.
I said It was an adrenaline rush.
There is a HUGE difference.

And as far as the gun cam footage.
Well like Skuzzy I don't see that It belongs here.
Humans dieng Is neither funny or entertaining in my book.
But keep in mind that the images of 9/11 are very fresh in some Americans minds .

And Hell yes we want BLOOD.

Dude, you were in the Service during peacetime. You were never in a war, and you've never killed another human being. Likewise BgbMAW has never killed anyone either, in fact I doubt he was ever in the Service- at least not for more than a couple of months.

Like i have said before I have no one to prove any thing to.

And I dammed sure aint got nothing to prove to you Airhead and the rest of your little google searching "experts" LOL.

Sounds like a personal problem to me. It's done, there's nothing that can "undo" it, and a lot of folks find it an interesting view into the history of WW2.

I would never try to second guess your opinions. Too far out of my galaxy, sorry.

However, let me help with your reading comprehension.

Clearly, I made no guess at your opinion here. I merely pointed out that all of us subscribers subsidized, to some small extent, the broadcast of those WW2 kill films. Our subscription money (and the desire for even MORE subscription money) was part and parcel of the AH ads on Wings.

Not opinion, just fact.

LOL Oh yeah, THAT'S it- you were involved in classified operations in our "secret South American war." :rofl

And now you're willing to compromise classified operations by claiming to be a participant in these operations on a public bulletin board. :rofl

And it don't matter WHAT a Google search might reveal, you're a sniper, by God! :rofl

And... best of all... you mispelled "witts," mr black... there's only one T !! :rofl :rofl :rofl

So tell me GI Joe... (wiping tears) ... How many Colombian drug lords did you kill? :D

DUDE, the best thing you and BigBMAW could do is STFU, neither one of you ever killed nothing more than a six pack of Budweiser and several thousand kittens. I like the stories, but save them for the highly impressionable like Davidpt40.

A personal problem compared to a quite normal desire to watch people die. BTW nice second guess there, chief.

I like the history student pretext. I should think more history can learned from opening a book, reading written accounts and historical fact rather than watching combat footage. Watching a Me.110 being shot down in some blurry 10 second clip tells you very little; about the weapons used, the reasons for the that particular confrontation, the history of the conflict etc.

Now in terms of the Apache footage, what does it add to the historical record, other than its own existance? Little, if anything.

So at the end of the day, what we're left with is the lowest common denominator - a pornographic desire for 'action'. Doesn't bother me at all; whatever gets you off.
