In March, I did a SoCal Club Xterra run. It was kinda fun. There were fifteen Xterras.

I've avoided some of the larger meets. I'm okay with 3-4 trucks, but anything above 10-12 is a bit of a cluster ****.

I could see that, the one I went on was 9, and like 4 or 5 were dead stock, and one had a driver with NO clue.

He did not follow the spotters directions very well.

He hit a tree, a downed log and bent his side step into his back tire!

Was still lots of fun, if you end up going on a central Cali one let me know and I will see if my brother in law would go meet the socals!

The one we went on was into a really pretty area.

That would be cool... With any luck, I can get my brother to take his Jeep Rubicon (that is... if his wife will LET him take it offroad, but I doubt it... it's a travesty I tell ya... a damn shame). He lives near Modesto.

I am SOOO close to trading my paid off truck in for a Ruby....

I have wanted a rubicon since they came out, and we almost got one but the jeep dealers were being jerks when they first came out lol NO deals you pay sticker or get lost!

LoL this trip gave me the bug again!

I keep telling myself "No Jon! Bad! Its paid for and has 5 more years on the waranty! Dont be stupid!"

LOL

The most impressive vehicle on the trip was a 96 jeep grancherokee, with a 3 inch lift and 32s. The guy could take anything the trail had to offer with ease!

I'm thinking real hard about grabbing an 86-88 Samurai in the future. My gawd... you should take a look. For roughly $4000, you can have a highly modified 4x4. Hell... it's about the same price as a damn Quadrunner.

Yeah my brother in law with the Xterra keeps telling me to not waste the money on a Ruby and get a Samy

lol one of my buddies who has big truck syndrom bought one and now wont wheel his truck he love the damn thing so much lol.

I was leaning towards like a 73 through 78 blazer, but after seeing the size of the trail, it would have to be pretty modified to do some of the parts and your lines would be hard cause of the width, lol and your body would not get out without a dent!

I loved the 84 K5 I had though it had so much room inside I could lay out on the back seat and sleep confortably! It did great off road if their was room.
