And now Nilsen opens a new can of worms. Might as well break out the lawn chair and and break out the plastic sheild to protect myself from the mud.

so.... a game that is worshipped like a religion in every country other than in north america for hundreds of years, played by hundreds of millions - called football...

should change name because Americans call a game - which is just entertainment in between saggy tit shows and commercials in which they throw a ball around.... football.

handball on the other hand is a contact sport.

Come hang out with me when you get to the US. Then you can see how small we football guys are.  Yes I know you are joking about the body size.

In fact I would like to get you to come on over for a while next year and see a few games up close and personal. Hell we could even catch a few major games if you timed it right for a couple of weeks. And while here in the heart of college football land...Alabama...well at least to all of us who live here its the heart...the beer and at least one game is my treat along with the BBQ ribs and pregame meals.

You know what I find funny though....normally (and I haven't seen it in this thread YET) the real football is called a sissy game, whereas American Football is a manly game.

Why did such a manly game adopt a sissy game's name?

I would LOVE to watch a real american football game, in the crowd or american bar to experience how it should be watched.

I have tried to watch the superbowl here and its probably the worst 'sport' i have ever seen in my life.

To be there and experience it is how you should judge a sport.

im guessing college american football is the best to watch as they are trying to make a name for themselves and do not have all the commercial influence like the POS superbowl has.

he scored a better goal than the one i posted, he volleyed it from an unbelievable angle into the top corner, in i think the 1988? european championships.  The video clip will probably be in there somewhere, although i havent seen it in there yet.

He would have been up there with the best players ever, had he not got injured.

Check out Ronaldinho and Zidane if you like watching outrageous skills and stuff.

It "is" great fun to go to American Football games.  College games are better than pro games IMHO though...more fun.  More hotties too.

College football is better.

Actual being at a game is also hundreds of times better then watching it on tv. Just like golf. Nap time on tv, and fun on the greens.

Greed runs the world. And it does run the NFL. The NHL is feeling the effects of that this year. But kudos to the players that can bring in millions of dollars to play a sport they love. Wish I could get paid that to play AH.
