yeager,

having lost my father only this last september, i understand the loss that you are experiencing at this time and wish you
and your family all of the best in the coming months.

though any loss is difficult, the loss of our father represents one of the greatest challenges of our lives in that i leaves us with such a great vacancy at the helm of our ships. it requires us to both grieve the loss of our captain but to take the helm and steer ourselves without the immediate presence of that greater counsel.

please accept my deepest expressions of understanding, sympathy and compassion and know that irregardless of all that we hold as opinion and virtue pales in comparison to the larger image of brotherhood that all men share in this world.

if there is ever anything that i or any of us can do...please let us know.

to you, your family and to your father
.

So very sorry to hear of your lose.
Men like your father are the last of a dying breed.
We should all take a moment and thank all the young men that faught in WW2.

True Americans that paid for our rich way of life here in America.
They spilled blood making this country what she is.

My father will turn 77 on 4-13-05 and he was one hell of a Marine.
Hard as nails SOB that kicked my *** most of my childhood.
But as an adult I can now see what he was trying to teach me.

A fathers love will go on forever Yeager so never feel alone he will be with you always as  you are his son.
God Bless And to your father.

Lost mine in January after a long illness, I know how tough it is. May God bless and comfort you and yours in your time of loss and pain.

Sorry to hear that Yeager, he sounds like a good person, he has  his old flight crew to guide him in now, stay strong .
I used to be a fatalist,
but that part of me died.
