Definitely. I thought I'd be good with 512, but my camera does 30fps vid at 640x480, and it eats the memory up in a hurry! I wish I woulda gone for the 1 GB or more.

I personally see no problems with eBay other than how easy it is for someone to make an account, list some bogus items, take peoples' money and run with no trace and no recourse. Then they just create a new user ID and do it all again.

When I became an eBay seller, I had to give all sorts of information like CC number, even bank details. I don't know if there was a way for them to check that my account was in good standing - kind of like a credit check.

As for fraud, that's what paypal is supposed to prevent. It worked perfectly for me. Read my post about the tables I was going to buy. ^

Never had much problem with ebay other than i could allways get whatever it was cheaper from some other group.. Healey and Hot rod parts are cheaper from my other groups.. probly about half.. BMW motorcycle parts are cheaper from a BMW group.. about half what ebay gets.

Ebay is just a dealer locator for me.. the "buy it now" is just that dealers regular price usually.

Late advice but as has been said here and in other topics on eBay....

Don't assume anything when considering bidding on an item. Good example was the non working DVD above.
And just walk away from items for sale by someone with less than 99.0% positive feedback or if they have none at all. A feedback rating of 98.x% and less does not cut it IMO.

And never, EVER send payment before exchanging emails with the seller.

Even then make sure you discuss packing and shipping first. Do not assume they will do a good job to keep tyhe item from being busted up or that the shipping costs will include tracking and insurance - which you will almost always want.

I've not sold anything on eBay. I don't want the headaches one can get from dealing with the masses of illiterate retards ((ref Seagoons example above) or with those who are out to scam buyers. But I have bought about 140 different items over the past couple of years and was bit just once. I lost $6.00 on an old book.

As for recourse? eBay and Paypal could careless about buyers for the most part as long as the fees from the sellers keep coming in. IMO the buyer will take it in the shorts one way or the other when it comes to having eBay or Paypal take car of an auction gone bad most of the time.

On a side note... I just got a notice from ebay saying that my account was susspended because of my unethical selling practices..

I have never sold a single thing on ebay. Don't even have a sellers account.

Did you pay paypal with credit card/ debit card or did you deposit money in your account..

If you used the card option you have other sources availible to you to expedite your refund..

namely your credit card company... call them up tell them what happend and put a stop payment on the funds to paypal..

paypal has no choice but to refund your money..

Then paypal may bill you until the situation is resolved on their end but it beats them sitting on your money on a clear fraud case collecting interest on your money and jerking you around...

Be shure to write a certified mail letter (not email) to paypal / ebay explaining such; listing your research and fraud on the seller..

This way if ebay or paypal trys to get ignorant you have legal recourse to shove it up their arse.. as you notified them..

I have some horror stories and have been taken by ebay / paypal for some low money collectibles. yeah you get your money back but when is the question..

I would have my CC company go to bat for me.. Thats why you pay them.. (either interest on your account etc..)

man i just had my first bad expirience with paypal, i paid $200+ with
paypal to the company -> ACT LABS. First it worked ok, got email
response that they got the money. But now 2 weeks later i got
a emal again, ACT LABS is sorry now they cant use paypal anymore.
To get my money back i now have to fill a buyer claim against ACT LABS
with paypal. Ive done it and waiting now what will happen...
