New Freedom Tower for ground zero

Eh is ok.
I thought a far better design would have been save for 1 small section as a ground level memorial.
1 single large rectangular building covering the whole site the same height but nearly quadruple the overall size as the previous towers and capped at the top with a resturant capped with a glass dome topped off by the american flag and walkway around the parimeter with flags representing each of the countries represented who suffered loss on 9/11 along with sections of wall with the names of each of the victims etched into them similar to the vietnam wall.
Death is no easy answer
For those who wish to know
Ask those who have been before you
What fate the future holds
It ain't pretty

Sadly, the horror and tragedy of that day has been long over-shadowed by pettiness.

I like Trump's idea.  Build the Towers back up and make them bigger.

I like Trumps idea too, but the money has to come from somewhere.  I'm not sure if this is representative of what Trumps concept would bring or not, but the current design is having a difficult time finding interested tenants.

This new design is certainly better then the one that was current until a few days ago, that was certainly a mistake and a half.  This is merely 3/4 of a mistake, so I guess it's an improvement.

Looks pretty good to me. Whatever they do lets hope they don't do what our planners did to our bombed out cities after WW2 and build shoddy great "carbuncles" ( in the words of old Prince Charlie) out of concrete and crud where once were some beatifull old city centres. Coventry is a shining example of this.

For some, yes. But not for all.

Maybe a clarification.  The 'pettiness' of our leaders.

We should replace them. Exactly as they were.

Nope. Don't need it.

Just put the towers back.. the way they were.

Sends a stronger message than anything else we could do.

Yea... Everyone wants to make a statement but "nothing to see here, move along" makes the statement that I want to make.  That you can't hurt our nation.  You can attack us, you can destroy our stuff, you'll even get lucky sometimes and kill a bunch of us, but you can't hurt the nation.

Unfortunately we've shown the exact opposite, by our over-reaction to the threat.  We're spending 90% of our efforts on less than 1% of the threat.  How many grandmothers in wheelchairs weilding blunt scissors have ever attempted to do anything except keep breathing while on an airplane?

We're doing to ourselves what the terrorists could never do.  Had we gone on as before inside our own country in conjunction with our proactive efforts outside the country, we'd be better off and a whole lot richer as well.  Instead, we've hired goons to implement a security policy based on fear.  And it's not even fear of another attack, rather it's the fear our politicians have of the polls that would shred them if something happened, no matter what they actually did to try to prevent another attack.  So at least now, if we suffer another attack, the politians can say "we went totally overboard on security, even violating the constitution based on emergency war powers, and we STILL got attacked so it's NOT MY FAULT.  Who cares.  There are always more politicians so it baffles me why we've let our congressmen get away with this.  We only vote for the pres every 4 years, but every congressional district has a vote at a minimum every 2 years, and we're voting back in the ones who passed the so-called patriot act and support making it a permanent intrusion on our liberties.  Don't blame the president... He doesn't make those laws and he didn't force congress to come up with that stuff.  The President is responsible for taking the war to the enemy, and congress is responsible for taking the war to our own citizens...

You can guess who I hold responsible.
Everyone I know, goes away, in the end.
