Personally, I think it's a hideous paint scheme. They may have some fine looking aircraft models but the paint jobs leave something to be desired on many of them.

Wow, that scheme IS butt-ugly. Still a wonderful plane, but a butt-ugly finish.

Clearly the ground crew is in the process of stripping the old paint off in preparation for a complete repainting.

What?  This is a sim?  There is no ground crew?

Ok then, it's butt-ugly.

Looks like they couldn't decide whether to use a silver or green paint job, so they used both.

Yuck.   One more reason I never have liked WarBirds and probably never will.

With all do respect to kiwi San. Jumping into a plane (even a virtual one ) with a suicide paint job ain't gettin it.

Sky-

Don't get your back up. I don't think most are slamming WB, just that paint job. In my particular case I merely mean it is an ugly scheme, not that it isn't well done.

I'm confused - what's that protruding from the spinner? Surely not a cannon?

That is for the dog starter- no kidding!

The Japanese would pull the starter truck to the front of the plane, and via an extension shaft, fire up the engine with a motor from the truck.

The Ki-84 isn't the only butt-ugly paint job. Check out the B-17. Shark teeth on a B-17? You gotta be kidding me!

If it were possible I think Sky would have iEN's love child.

The Macci, SBD are the best of the lot. Wildcats is pretty good too. the 51, 38 with the shark mouths on the two nacels and the B17 are butt ugly while the KI just plane takes the cake as the worst scheme I've ever seen on a plane - barring pink photo recon jobs.

pfffffrrrmmmmmpppppphtttttttt tttt, muahahahahahahahahahaaha, hehehehehehehehehehehe

Please take a break and continue to fly your Macchi with a wingroot thick as a house.

The paintjob on the KI is one of the finest there regardless of the unit and what it stand for.

And what do you have against a Kamikaze sheme 50% of all players in flightsims are Kamikaze types, so it would fit very good into every Sim.

Go Jabo, Go!!!   craaaaaaaaaash wummmm

woah i got the ack

"Please take a break and continue to fly your Macchi with a wingroot thick as a house."

I will!    And you go, er,,,,, wait. you can't yet.

I honestly could care less what unit or person used that "KI" scheme. My opinion is that it is hideous.

p.s.  How long after it is available (Year 2001...sometime...if iEN isn't closed down before hand) until folks scream at iEN saying the  WB-3's Macci flight model is overmodelled? After all theFM was provided by the player too.
