In the same program menu that AHII is listed in, there is an icon that says "AHII Film Viewer". Choose that.

... or just double click on the film. The viewer is associated with the ahf-file by default.
21 is only half the truth.

Not so. You have to open the AH Film Viewer at least once for it to associate with the program (it does it the first time you start it).

After that, you can then just double click the file.

I sent the viewer .exe to desktop and open it from there without
going in to AH.

Here's an odd question.  Does AH's viewer need the same graphics hardware to play back films as what's needed to play the game?

I want to few some of these, but I'm at work and our PC's don't have video cards that support T&L.  So I can't even play AH here.

But if the view doesn't need it, could I just install the view...if there's a way?

Yes and no... I'd say you still need a "good" card (no "poor" ones, they might just make playback slow) but it takes way less CPU. So as long as you have a 3D card with more than, say, 32MB, you're probably okay.

The film viewer uses the texture files installed with AH IIRC.

Granted you'd have to install AH to get the film viewer. However you don't need to be able to run AH to run the film viewer.

P.S. P3 650MHz with 320MB RAM and a Geforce4 was just fine for film playback. Sucked for in flight fps, but film viewing was just fine :)
