Looks interesting.

I'm in no position to grumble as I've contributed not a jot to the AvA arena, but, ehm, no Mossie at all?
... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB

I was on for a good 2 hours and we had about 40 people on the whole time.  What a blast!  The dogfights are intense!  The fighters are really well matched it seems to me.  Thanks to the AvA staff for giving this a shot!

awesome fights man

my only problem was that i had to run home all the time and reload lol. you only get enough ammo for 1 and a half kills lol, the 303's REALLY need an upgrade, because there's no internal damage model, which stinks.

great flying in that 110, i'll try and find you in there again tonight!

maybe schatzi will weigh in here but it seems to me that some of the allied players were attempting very long range shots for those fighters.  if i were flying allied i would set my convergence at 300 and fire at no further than 400 at 200 those .303s are like 2x20mm and quite effective.

Saw that, too.  When I fly eight-gunned English planes I set convergence to 200, and take no shot beyond that.  Probably even 200 is too far, and if I ever get to fly Hurri I or Spit I I'll set convergence down to 175.

At close range, though, those .303s will really chop up a plane.  You just have to remember that high-angle crossing shots aren't going to do much more than cause the occasional pilot wound.

i only shoot under 250 yrds, usually under 200, anything else does nothing to a plane. usually have to pump half or more of your ammo to kill a single 109 lmao

175 on the Hurr1, shoot as close as you can get (conv is ideal).

Convergence is even more an efficiency issue in the Spit1, since the guns are more spread out.
21 is only half the truth.

Pooface That was awsome rolling siccor fight we had 109E V Spit1
Too bad those 20mm hit me

The 303's are very effective within 200. set the convergance at 275 for all 8.
I took out a 110 last night within 200yds with one 2 sec burst and still had 2200 rds left. Dont waste your ammo on deflection shots. It's tough but fun:D
